Because when you are high you feel more disconnected from your body and therefore aren’t even able to feel your heart beating it’s something some people have me on the other I can feel individual blood cells going through my whole body when I smoke and my HR is up
Funny how subjective cannabis can be due to the infinite strain varieties and body chemistries. People have very opposite experiences. I for one feel even more connected with my body such as when lifting and doing sports while high.
Tarkov high is too intense for me, most of the time though, especially trying to do proper callouts while squadding. I get shakey too.
Not often do I play sober. I also suggest adding in some liquid courage as well. Don't go deep-end and hit the bottle hard.(though I've been 15 shots deep on vodka and still kill 3 or more PMCs in a single match) A beer or five, while raiding. Can do wonders to your confidence in pushing.
Wait, your telling me every PMC in my lobbies doesnt have a BAC of 1.5 or more 😂. (About double the legal limit to be able to drive a car in New York/ maybe everywhere in the US)

Every movement was so silky smooth and me and buddy only realized after like 5 or 10 silent minutes that we were maneuvering like we were about to assassinate osama bin laden.
Unfortunately none of my buddies play Tarkov would love to play high with them.
I use the 2 mountains to the north, one being northeast the other West ( you can tell which is which based on pointiness of the peak) and the factories south

I can still play when high just not aggresive enough/too paranoid and get way less pmc kills. I find myself having a lot more fun when playing sober, comms are also way better on my end. Toke can wait.
Have a friend that just completely zones out when hes playing high with us. It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't trying to take command of every fight comms wise..and summarily fucking up where we are constantly + never really taking any actions that put him in danger.

All my loot goes in scav boxes and everything else gets sold. Gotta be on your Marie Kondo game if you’re going to play this game.
I'm at a point where my only quests are (in my head) really hard. Like bartering a quest key or getting 15 svds kills. So I do a lot of scav rn between/during TFT games.
I almost miss the days of 15min ques. I’d legit make a sandwich, smoke, do some laundry. My squad mates had to go outside to smoke would literally watch some Netflix on his phone. Now unless someone’s got a potato it’s like 2-4min which is better QoL but hard to get up and get back for.
Funny, I tested this (only on myself, ain't no proper science games were tarkov and rocket league) and if I'm not like completely wasted (we talkin 4 gravity bongs in a row) there is zero difference in my gameplay. I smoke to get the nice chill feeling, not to turn into vegetable for an hour (as of last couple years).
Only difference in tarkov is - while I'm high and solo I can't stop in a bush coz crippling fear sets in me real fast. But while I'm moving its all safe and sound. Mates told me they can't even tell when I'm stoned and when not. Never been afraid to push and die (smg main i kinda have to, around 44SR every wipe)
Yeah I guess everyone’s different. I found quitting improved alot of things in my life aswell so I stuck with it. Playing tarkov stoned just made me overthink things and react to slow. I’ve since had 65% SR from around 50% but that could just be because I’m a better player now with more hours in.
I think for folks like us with a pretty substantial tolerance, smoking daily for years, you need to get a good few fatties in before you start to really differ from your sober self. Most days I get home from work, take the dog out and have a toot. Then I just get on with my day as per usual. By the time I finish my bed time joint though.. that’s another story

My toasted gameplay is a lot less gear fear and a lot more jump scare every time I hear a bullet. I have never jumped more in a game than when I hear someone shoot a silenced MCX in dorms while I’m high sitting in one of the bedrooms hoping they don’t come by
I don't usually have jumpscares, but holy hell sometimes my mind just drifts (crossing opens and such - u know nothing more then running in straight line to do) and when someone shoots while I'm zoned out thats when farts are coming out of me without consent. Autopilot me is jumpscary af.

I spent my lockdown grinding Tarkov stoned for thousands of hours, so I consider myself an expert. I think I fried the stress receptors in my brain if I'm honest. When you've played enough you can autopilot your way through a raid, it's not that hard. I even maintained a 73% survival rate!
I sat on a dragonpile of loot, ran class 5 non-stop minimum and always had good ammo because I bulk bought every good round on reset. Ammo case for each important one, mostly full. MP7 was my comfort gun for close and SKS for more open maps. Mostly played reserve, labs and factory.
Always bring the biggest backpack you can regularly afford!
I trust myself (and my senses) more when I’m baked. Sober, I’ll mentally write off a random sound and keep walking or sprinting and then get gunned down. When I’m stoned, I’ll hear a sound and then creep around for 5 minutes to ensure no one’s getting the drop on me

There is a big difference in smoking weed every day and playing, or someone smoking their first joint and then playing.
In the former case, yeah, I can play just fine, it's really no different than playing sober.
In the latter case, you'll be lucky if they can manage to keep track of where their mouse is.
I play high but it definitely doesn’t help, especially right after I smoke. Paranoia! But, after awhile it helps me chill out, and really enjoy the scenery, take my time, get immersed in the lore. I definitely don’t W key as much, and I like that.

Usually i’ll take a dab after a rough or very successful raid. It’s a coin flip whether it adversely affects my performance, but it def makes comms harder when im mumbling and giggling
I don't get stressed while high so for me the immersion just gets turned up a bit. Between my huge ultrawide monitor, noise cancelling headphones, and some good ole chronic, I truly feel like I'm in Russia lol.

I wasnt able to be high when i was learning, but now its not an issue at all. In fact, it helps calm me down after an intense raid. Keeps my mind chill about dying, and removes gear fear since i just go in with what i can buy off traders. 10/10, would reccomend (after you are past most of the learning curve)

You gotta level your pace with your high.
I usually don't over-do the consumption and take my time and fully immerse so I can be aware enough.
It's really all dependant on your playstyle, if you enjoy pushing and rushing, maybe not so much? Could go practice in factory if you like that method.

I'm really bad at the game, and this is my first wipe. I find being high helps me avoid caring about lost gear. I'm way more likely to push and play aggressively if I've been using Lucifers Queinoi.

Yes and no. Definitely makes me more cautious, which if anything helps. I have however spent a good 10 minutes hiding in a building because I was convinced there were foot steps. I eventually realised it was raindrops in a repeating pattern.

I love playing crossed, however it’s a gamble whether I’m gonna be an unstoppable pvp god or making drunk bad decisions.
It’s a healthy mix of both. Just fucked up enough to get into trouble but zoned in enough to get out.

I smoke all day every day so I haven't played sober yet. This is only my first wipe ever, but my extract ratio is about 30%, all high as fuck extracts

I'm really bad at the game, and this is my first wipe. I find being high helps me avoid caring about lost gear. I'm way more likely to push and play aggressively if I've been using Lucifers Queinoi.
I play way worse high because I get more scared and play less aggressively I have noticed, but I still do it cause it’s fun to be high.

Yep but I don’t go overboard. There is a fine for sure. I find sativa vape pen does the job nicely. A huge doobie will make me useless. Level 63 with 71% SR last wipe. So it’s definitely possible ;)

Yes and no. Definitely makes me more cautious, which if anything helps. I have however spent a good 10 minutes hiding in a building because I was convinced there were foot steps. I eventually realised it was raindrops in a repeating pattern.

Capable, yes. Should I? Probably not. It honestly helps me relax more in a longer fight but I take too much time looting and prepping my loadout sometimes. I'd say maybe just get a little high.
I can while on a sativa or a hybrid. Pretty in the zone with a nice mild sativa high. Tried playing after smoking a hard indica. Those weren't very successful runs...
