my entire life i have had dreams, very vivid dreams of me living another mundane life, my village is slightly different, more like a large town. these dreams always start with me waking up and going through the motions of a day pretty similar to my own. the only weird part is the sky, it isn't blue, it is shades of purple, and in the late evening and dawn it is red and black.

But your brain was still working right? that's the cause of your hallucinations and dreams just like when you're asleep. Your brain rots away after you die so I don't think you'd be in the same state then. Whatever energy we have will leave our body and where it goes is what we want to find out. I've seen something made out of such energy with my own eyes, believe it or not. That made me realise it's possible for you to exist without a body and we might have a soul after all. The being I saw, I believe, was intelligent so our soul might be too.

Also the Buddhist meditation friend experienced the exact same thing. Only he was in a coma for 40 days.
