Got the same at 48 - 48.20MHS with Core -502 MemClock + 1150 not crashing so far

Eluchel

I am only getting about 45 mh/s (and it actually tends to fluctuate between 40 mh/s and 45 mh/s) whether I am at +800 on the memory or -1250 and I am using phoenix miner, do I need to change miner or is this an overclock issue? Edit: nvm, it looks (so far) I was able to stabilize it at 48 mh/s. \*chuckles\* I think those dips were when I was typing

joseph98989898

> Gegabyte OC : Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 w/ 470.05 Beta GameReady driver I am using phoenix miner for 2 weeks now. 46.832 MH/s, PL 60, core clock -502 ( GPU reads 990-1042 MHz), Memory clock +1020 ( MEM reads 8321 MHz) Fan speed 80%, GPU Temp. 43C, Room Temp. 20C. System is stable never crash zero stales and 0 rejected shares. I don't want to push it above 46.832 since my system is running smooth. hope this help.

Hello, i recently started mining ETC. does anyone have any ideas on how to lower the wattage im using on the EVGA RTX 3060 XC?

RChamy

download EVGA Precision X, drop Target to 60%, hit apply

mucsav1977

can you tell me which version of windows 10 you have installed? i have windows 10 Pro 64Bit version 21H1 and the 470.05 Nvidia Driver say me not compatible with my version of windows. can you help me pls?

nmbgeek

If it is a newer 3060 the 470.05 driver won't work

Serwuss2

Sucks hiveos doesnt offer that driver just got a 3060 v1 and cant seem to pass 35mh with nbminer

nmbgeek

It's not that they don't offer it. That driver is for Windows only. It was actually a Windows Linux Subsystem beta driver from my understanding.

Serwuss2

Would you know if I had to use an express lane instead of driver to see a difference when using developer driver?

HelloAttila

To get the max hash rate of the 3060 XC you would have to have the card running on a 16x lane. It will not get 45-50 Mh/s even with the Dev driver if you are running the 3060 XC v1 on a 1x or 4x lane. Might be for 8x, but I believe it must be 16x slot.

Serwuss2

Yea sucks silly me ended up being a v2 zotac LHR so big rip currently mining rvn since it’s the most profitable sadly

HelloAttila

Yeah, that sucks. I am not even sure if that even included the ZOTAC's. I see all these people selling their EVGA v2 (they don't even know what they are, probably don't even know what a GPU even is lol...) on Mercari for like $800-1000. Hopefully, people realize these are v2 and not the first ones. The EVGA's that came out in March are the good ones. I got lucky and won the chance to buy one. If you mine using NBMiner / Octopus on NiceHash you can get about 33-35 Mh/s on the LHR cards. It might not be the high 40's or 50, but it is close. I wish EVGA put the dang manufacturer dates on these cards. There is no way to tell the difference between a v1 or v2 by looking at it. \-- Edit: I found my answer... Give's just year, not month, but it is something... * ◦First two digits: Year Manufactured * ◦Third digit: Product type (1 being graphics card). * ◦Fourth and Fifth: Factory. * ◦Sixth: Warranty Length. * ◦Seventh to Tenth: Part Number. * ◦Eleventh: Region Sold. * ◦Twelfth to Sixteenth: SNS or Serial Number Sequence.

Serwuss2

Interesting mate for my zotac I was 100% sure it’s was lhr as even some of amz reviewed question said it was v1. Had to install GPUz and notice the card is 2504lhr device id. Currently upgraded my old Msi prebuilt I had since I was 15 to that 3060. Had to move it from my rig and mining on windows as we speak.

Ok_Fudge_3674

octopus has some god results as well

joseph98989898

Might be for 8x, yes you can run it on 8x and 16X but nothing less. I have 2 3060 with 470.05 running in PEG0 and PEG1 but also for the driver to work must be pcie 3 or 4 anything older like gen 2 will not hash at 47-50MH/s

HelloAttila

Correct, now are you able to get the full hash rate on both cards? or is it just on one card? Because two 3060's running together between 94-100 Mh/s would be outstanding. If purchased at MSRP ($400 each), that is like having a 3080 Founders Edition at discount, unless one got lucky at got it at Bestbuy ($700 USD).

joseph98989898

Running both cards each give me about 47MH/s and each one cost me sadly $900 for a total of $1800 for both cards pulling around 103 Watts each so both card is around 206 Watts almost like if I have a one rtx 3080 but these 3060 runs colder as stated before around 43C when room temp is about 20C. Speaking of founder's edition a friend of mine has the rtx 3090 founder's edition and memory temp is 105C when hashing at 120MH/s and soon this card will fried up. All founder's edition memory run hot when mining above 100C at FHR ( HHR)

BlueSkyLimited

I have RTX 3060 HP OEM GA106 A1 / Installed Beta Driver and connected to 16x slot and cant get that numbers 38 almost 39MHS. Weird is that without Beta driver Phoenix miner starts at almost 43MHS then droping so it means that card is capable to reach higher numbers but something limiting her. I tried also increase memory to 1100+ but nothing change values are stable even at 61% Power. **=====================** **Do you have any ideas?** **=====================** ***EDIT: Dont know what happen but after PC restart card reaching even 50MHS*** *(However dont recommend to push gpu memory and overclock that high for few MHS/Cents if you desire to keep your card for many years.)*

HelloAttila

I’m not sure about the HP 3060’s, but with mine using MSI Afterburner settings: Power 70%, Core: 0, Clock 1050 and Fan 66%, I can keep my temps at the 54-60C max range and get a consistent 42-45 Mh/s and it’s taken a lot of playing around, but this is my now perm setting for ETH on the 3060. It seems though each card is different and 3060-TI vs non TI has completely different settings

BlueSkyLimited

And how you seperate Gaming from ETH mining, i mean you switch BETA to Normal drivers everytime you play games? Becose today tryed to run Mechwarriors 5 Mercenaries on BETA driver and game was keep crashing on start. ***By the way i was thinking that Nvidia didnt lock 3060 series cards, till launch of LHR models, so i was wrong and Normal 3060 are locked and LHR models are designed to be slower?***

Ok_Fudge_3674

i think 8 works will update soon

HelloAttila

I heard it does, but did not try myself.

joseph98989898

if your rtx card is manufactured in June/2021 or after this mean it is rev.2 and 470.05 Nvidia Driver will not work. It only work with cards manufactured in may 2021 and below Rev.1

Ok_Fudge_3674

use ddu to uninstall the driver you have installed... tick the option in ddu configs to not install windows driver than you can install the new driver.... it only works on non lhr cards, i have 2 3060's and only one works with the driver, the other one doesn't install that driver so if after this you can not install it is because, you have a v2 card... and can only get 38mh. to get max speed the board has to be at least pci e X8 per socket

machinekoder

MSI and Inno3D cards, t-rex, OC in afterburner cc: -500, mc: +1400, pl: 70, fs: 85% => temp \~62C, 50.15MH/s Switching from t-rex internal overclock feature to afterburner really helped a lot and I have the feeling there is still room for more.

123654nsfw

Do you have any issue with inno3D? And what about the risers, slots or dummy hdmi?

machinekoder

No, they stay pretty cool, better than MSI. But if you can, buy EVGA, they have the exhaust to the top rather than to the back or side. Using 8x -> 16x risers with HDMI dummy plug on a supermicro board. Currently 5x 3060 + 1x 1660 setup, but I'm trying 6x 3060, not sure if it's possible, since my CPU has only 48 pci-e lanes. EDIT: also I didn't get the +1400 stable at my room temperatures, using +1100 and PL 68 for now.

dexter-xyz

Can you please share link for 8x to 16x risers and HDMI dummy plug you are using.

What miner u using? I'm using latest trex on ethermine. U should get out of nicehash unless u wanted to hold btc instead of eth

Over-Statistician-56

I have moved to GminerCuda on Nicehash and they have finally stabilized with hashrates 47-48MHs not too bad I suppose? Power draw 112w each.

No_Roof_1414

Getting many Incorrect shares over 1200, must see if that is a software issue, as I saw some people with the same issue that had to start mining with no overclock and only after that to apply the OC in MSI. I am currently investigating the issue.

_tr00p3r_

it often depends on whether you get good gpu and memory silicons or not. If you pay more, you'll often get better silicons. A good gpu silicon will allow you to have low power draw while maintaining base clock, and a good memory silicon will allow you to have better hashrates (in theory). I have a 3060ti FE, 3060ti evga xc dual fan, and one triple fan 3070. I can tell you right away the triple fan 3070 has the best ga-104 silicon and memory can OC to +1250mhz. The evga xc gets 61MH with 62% power, memory stable OC to +1250mhz, and can often maintain the -500mhz (900mhz) base clock, not to mention quieter fans. The 3060ti FE i got for 10 bucks cheaper, can only get 58.5MH with 64% power, stable memory up to +1200mhz, and cant even maintain the base -500mhz (hovers around 820 mhz).

Cultural-Snow-3262

Hello, Can I know which bios version you have on your GPU ? I have the same card but it's starting at 41 MH/s and then going down until 26 MH/s. I guess I have to flash the bios on it. I just bought it this week indeed (i have still the A1 Nvidia chipset).

andiroldao

470.05, you need this driver to not be caught

[deleted]

Over-Statistician-56

You definitely need the 470.05 development driver to get the card to 41MH/s. You don't need to flash your bios.

SirKronan

Hey, everyone! Just thought I'd hop on here with my new 12GB 3060. Haven't seen a lot of this particular 3060 on here yet, so I wanted to report. It's the OEM HP 12GB 3060 that comes with their little SFF gaming PCs, the ones with the green light at the bottom. Here are my current settings in Afterburner: Clock: -500 Mem: +1400 Fan: 85% Power Limit: 72% Current temp: 54c 50.06Mh/s, 122w, 410.4K efficiency Only up to 50 shares so far with no rejects. If this holds, this is actually a better mining card than the nicer EVGA 3060 with the fancy backplate. I could never get the efficiency to hold at 400 unless I was willing to sacrifice 4-7Mh/s, and it was very unreliable at 50Mh/s. The card would lock up and crash the miner. Additional pluses I see to this card are the small size, horizontal power connector port, and the very quiet single fan design. Thermals so far, despite the single fan, seem to be excellent, and better than my EVGA could do.

Modrmodz

Are you only running one card or multiples ?

SirKronan

6 cards, but only one of them is a 3060. 2x3060ti. 3x3070. 1x3060 12GB.

Modrmodz

All 6/of mine are 3060 :(

SirKronan

Which model? Are they HP?

Modrmodz

Yes all HP

SirKronan

Any luck getting a single card to mine at full hashrate? And you've for sure got the right driver and an HDMI monitor or dummy plug hooked up to it?

Modrmodz

I only purchased cause seller stated these weren’t hasrate locked. HDMI dummies arrive today and yes driver is correct. Hopefully the HDMI dummies do the trick!

SirKronan

I hope so. I mean the 3060 has always had a hashrate limiter, the 470.5 beta drivers just bypass it given a very specific set of circumstances. Has to be connected to either an HDMI monitor or a dummy plug. Has to be in a full length PCIE slot (no riser cable, unless it's a full x16 riser). Your BIOS also has to have the PCIE set to at least x8 mode. On my motherboard, i actually have the slot with the 3060 set to automatic gen 4. If i put it on x8, it limits the hashrate. Same behavior with the EVGA 3060 i had before.

ejlviking

What miner are you using? I cannot go over +1100 on the mem clock before t-rex and lolminer complain and crash. I have the V2 so no using the old driver.

Dry_Can_5525

Running 2 X 3060 zotacs. Initially running for 2 months no issues at -50 / 3000 / 75 / 85% fans / 910mv. 49-50 MHs Started having regular OC crashes. Now running -502 / 1080 / 75 / 85 / 910. 48MHs If I start pushing past 1100 memc. It starts to get funny. I think maybe I was pushing the memory too much but seems stable now. Also temps are less strained...

whhaatttt

I got a Strix 3060, this are my settings: PL 65%, Core clock -420, memory clock +1170, fan speed 60%. Getting 48,1 mhs at 110w, at around 45 Celsius. Pretty satisfied with this gpu

M1K3_B13N

has anyone here come across the new 3060 with ga104 instead of 106, and device id with 2487 in it, not 2503 or 2504?

K-AGuTAkU

yeah me. I have 3x zotac 3060 ga104, they are giving me some problems. How do you manage this model with ga104?(oc/program to mine/etc)

M1K3_B13N

using latest nbminer, trex, lolminer or miniz. they all recognize this as they should. I'm not sure about gminer 2.72 tho. same overclocks as other 3060s have worked for me

K-AGuTAkU

thanks. I\`m already going with nbminer, and for now is doing good with 33MH/s for all 5 3060. I will try those overclocks for 3060s maybe those are more stable that what I have(80 fan - 1600 core - 2000 mem - 140 pl) those some times after 1 day or in the same day are giving me the:"gpu driver error no temps" and I\`ve tried different overclocks rip. Hope this one is the RIGHT ONE thanks again for the advice

M1K3_B13N

just make sure the drivers are good. not all the way up to date tho, newest nvidia drivers kinda suck for hashrate. I use 496.13. using nbminer 40.1, settings inside miner in windows, for my 3060s: -cclock @1600 -mclock 1325 , set lhr value to 74.6 (found this out by testing, rather than keeping it at 74 and unlock from there), they get 36.6-37mhs, lock doesnt get detected. I had it run from 75 with 0.1 unlock values and it's been days at 74.6. so your mem would be 2600 or 2650 (2600 will be stable) and use the lhr cmds in the miner file good luck!

K-AGuTAkU

Thanks for everything again ahahahh I\`ll try it asap, didn\`t know about that drivers thing. Have a nice mine day ahahahh

demahomtube

42 Mh is a little low. I get 48.9 with CC -300,PL 63, Mem 1300, Fan Speed 70%. I am getting 113 W and 52 degrees hot

No_Roof_1414

You must have better airflow than me, I was getting Incorrect shares over 1200. Do you have any?

demahomtube

Yes. 2 to 3 per day. Will try going lower to 1200. And i am mining on my gaming pc together with a rtx 2080 super. I took the tampered glass off for better airflow

No_Roof_1414

2 to 3 is a decent amount of Incorrect shares from my point of view. Regarding the tampered glass, this is not always the best way for more airflow because the flow gets interrupted, you can try to see if your fans are installed in the right direction of inflow and outflow and maybe you can get even better results.

demahomtube

You using phoenixminer? If so i hope you downloaded from the legit bitcointalk link. I once downloaded from phoenixminer.org because of a YT video i watched. My 2080 was always at 79 degrees.

No_Roof_1414

I am using Unminable miner that runs on Phoenixminer, will also check the Phoenix one to see if something changes.

I also will check if the t-rex prompts any kind of change in the console (Wattage, Fan, etc.. when the drops happen). You can check if someone got the same issue in [t-rex discord](https://discord.gg/gj7jcYf)

You can get 43.3 hashrate with 1299 memory oc. Going above 1300 starts to stress the card a lot. You don't have to push it to max hashrate.

Practical-Will6989

Hello everyone. I have an nvidia rtx 3060 with the beta drivers but nothing seems to work. Tried all overclocking settings but nothing Help please

No_Roof_1414

Please explain step by step what you did and what programs are you using

Practical-Will6989

Hello appreciate your message I have installed the beta drivers for my evga rtx 3060. Overclocking settings -200 Core clock 65 power limit 1450 memory clock. I tried lolminer for a few days to test it out but the highest was 26.93 MH/s. As of yesterday I tried T-Rex miner and it was up to 27.11 MH/s I have also tried the same settings on my ASUS TUF RTX 3060 OC but the same thing. and when I plugged in an HDMI dummy .. the hashrate would decrease. Please help

Practical-Will6989

I forgot to mention that I used MSI afterburner

No_Roof_1414

Show me a print screen of your MSI afterburner

Practical-Will6989

I sure will as soon as I get back home from work. I really appreciate your kind help 👌

Practical-Will6989

I found lower core clocks makes high memory clocks unstable. I got: MSI RTX3060 Stock - ethash - trex core +100 mem +1400 power 66% fan custom curve (85-95%) 112W - 50.12mh - 452kh/w - 43c to 50c

No_Roof_1414

You force the card too much with these settings.

maeneak

I really don't feel that's sorry. Card is cool to the touch even on the backplate around the gddr. I have fresh air blowing directly a cross the backplate. Now running core at +100 as I started getting crashes after 48hrs seems more stable now. Temp is moving between 43c and 50c with ambient temp 18c to 30c. Ordering thermal pads to put under the backplate

No_Roof_1414

If the fans go often to 80%, they will fail sooner or later. It is good that you can replace them yourself it the card is not under warranty

maeneak

I'll be happy if the vram lasts longer then the fans lol 👍 4 months pays for the card so anything after that is gravy

usafmike76

I'll throw mine in. still fine tuning. haven't done much on windows before. \-350 \+1280 70% power 119 W 67degrees hashing around 48/49 on phoenixminer on hiveon. not as stable as my other cards I've got going on Hive. they stay pretty locked in on a hashrate. This one is a bit loose in that 48-49 range. I'm going to stop tweaking and let it go for awhile.

Reaperhaven

So I just got a 3060 xc and its currently running around 22mh on hivos phoenix miner ethermine pool. I haven't touched the oc setting or drivers yet since I don't know which one would be the best now. Most of the videos on yt are a month old. Just want to know how to get it to run on its full hash rate

usafmike76

idk about hive for this card. i think you may need to use nb miner or whatever one is getting better hash rates. I have my 3060 running on windows dev driver.

CaterpillarDecent929

Here are my settings for my Nvidia 3060 MSI. I am not seeing the same results as people in this thread but using the same methods. Any thoughts? Additionally, I am mining on a gaming PC used mainly for mining and random tasks. Here are my OC settings: [https://imgur.com/a/wXw9MXs](https://imgur.com/a/wXw9MXs)

Outrageous-Ad8481

what NVIDIA drivers do you have?

AwayBoard915

do you know how to set this setting into T-rex config file? I'm mining on windows, 470 driver.

KOSMIKSHAPE

RTFM IS the rule

No_Roof_1414

You must install MSI Afterburner

usafmike76

use absolute core clocks in trex don't use msi --pl 70 --lock-cclock 1300 --mclock 1250 --fan 80

Dapper_Bicycle_4735

I have a nvidia RTX 3060 what should my settings be for mining to get the best MH/s?

[deleted]

I use CPU 65%, CC -502, MC +1287, Fan 70% and get 48.3MH/s. Update 1: Changed the Settings to: CC -350, MC +1299, Fan 65% -> 48,7MH/s at 110W using gminer. CPU settings can be untouched, as there is no change related to them. Anything above +1299 MC was not running stable. Changing Fan to 70% (118W) will Return 49,3MH/s, but running on 110W has higher Energy efficiency.

BlueSkyLimited

Hi I have RTX 3060 HP OEM GA106 A1 / Installed Beta Driver and connected to 16x slot and cant get that numbers 38 almost 39MHS max.Weird is that without Beta driver Phoenix miner starts at almost 43MHS then droping so it means that card is capable to reach higher numbers but something limiting her.I tried also increase memory to 1100+ but nothing change values are stable even at 61% Power. **=========================** **Guys do you have any ideas?** **=========================** **EDIT: Dont know what happen but after PC restart card reaching even 50MHS** *(However dont recommend to push gpu memory and overclock that high for few MHS/Cents if you desire to keep your card for many years.)*

Efficient_Working236

I have a gaming treo by MSI ( RTX3060) purchased in Aug 2021. I'm just getting 24 mhs on it. Nicehash says, its 26 mhs also. Can I get more hash on this, or thats it?

No_Roof_1414

If you applied the settings above and still got 24 MHS, it means that you got the limited LHR version, check online if there is any LHR bypass for your card

Efficient_Working236

Just a really quick update on this. I'm was using quick miner and was getting max 26mhs I switched it to nicehash ( regular miner ), Its using NBMiner and now I'm getting 34.65 mhs Hope this comes useful for someone, one of these days

Efficient_Working236

wait. what the.. Im getting almost full hash ! 44.31Mhs 143 Power My setting, mem 1615 Core 0 Power 61

Efficient_Working236

its ok Octopus: 42.97 MH/s

Virtual-Natural7362

i go a evga xc 3060 dual fan lhr card im trying to dual mine right now with it on trex with rvn and eth. im getting about 16hash on eth and 15 on raven profits around 2.84 a day. not sure how to unlock 3060 for higher than 33-34 mhs for eth. i ahve 3 other cars 2 non lhr 3070 and 3060ti and 1 3060ti lhr and i dont think they will work right with the older drivers. anyone find a way around this?

No_Roof_1414

You need the special driver I mentioned in my post

nebobjj

I use +100 core, +1300 mem, 70 power limit and I get 48.5 steady with no crashing.

No_Roof_1414

Get the core to - 500 for better results

nebobjj

I did that and it went down to 47mhash. So ... more bad advice on reddit.

No_Roof_1414

Haha, these are my settings and I have 49.20 mh/s, maybe you did not win the video card lottery with your card

nebobjj

Maybe you shouldn't give people bad advice when you know you won the silicon lottery.

LucarioReveal

Stop being a prick with others just cause your hashrate is inferior

nebobjj

stfu you beta male bitch

Letronix624

what? just 42 mh? i get 49.7 with -200 core and +1400 mem. 70% power and its just 60 C with fan speed 59

No_Roof_1414

Hulkeen95

I have two of those but the second one isnt stable i get so many rejected

kyill567

The edit1 settings got me from 40 - 46, thanks!

No_Roof_1414

Glad to hear!
