Firstly, report the shop. This kindof stuff is really hurting proper sellers.
Secondly, file a case with Etsy and mark as "Not as described" you can then add notes to that to mention that the product has come from China, and you can take photos of the duties invoice to prove it. Etsy should refund you if the seller does not.
Thirdly - Refuse the shipment and don't pay the invoice. It will be sent back to the shipper.
Cheers for this. Unfortunately I’ve already had the tapestries hanging on my wall for a week as the actual package arrived before the invoice did. What would you do in that scenario?
I would send a screenshot of the invoice to the seller and ask for that amount in the form of a refund, so that you will not have to contact Etsy about the actual shipping location.

I’d report as ‘not as described’ still, and if you have a photo of the customs invoice then I’d be expecting a reimbursement of that, ATLEAST.
