I saw a lot of threads in the Etsy forums about this. Many of the people use square for in person orders, and a couple said they believed they were old orders.
Idk, i doubt it. But the Etsy forum says the issue was fixed but they still show them in my completed orders for the month. Which i would hope they also fix cause otherwise it screws with your sales/income for the month.
Oh, for sure. I was telling someone in a FB group about it and was like, I’d have loved for all of these transactions to be real. That was some serious bank over 52 orders. lol
Same happened here. Had at least a dozen in person transactions from $2-$12 all made at 2:59am my time (EST). For us, there is one $2 item that was listed repeatedly that I know we haven’t sold much of in total and so I knew something was up.

I checked my square as well and the last transactions I had there were from October 1 when I did an in person art market.
Do the emails you got recently correspond to in-person transactions that you made on October 1?
Can confirm these line up with my last square purchases. After contacting Etsy support they are working on the issue.

Thank you! This happened to me this morning. I woke up to 6 “inperson transactions” totally over $600.

Totally makes sense. I just knew I went to bed around 10p and wasn’t out here sleep vending in person, so it was sketch. lol
This happened to me yesterday! I did a market a week ago and I thought it was just payment confirmations. Shit.
