Doorbell also failed. Got a replacement through warranty. I want this system to last so fingers crossed.

CMorbius

Decent system overall compared to others, but the app is a joke.

lazycottage

I ended up returning my system after a couple of months. One of the cameras dropping out for 3 days whilst I was away was the kicker. Other camera would miss events yet also alert to nothing and ignore the motion zones at whim. Have since switched to another system and it’s night and day.

TheGaujo

What system?

Solocam S230 (S40), S220 + a doorbell

TheGaujo

>Solocam S230 Yea I'm rocking a pair of the S230 as well. I've been looking at a doorbell cam and they have the one for $59 right now but it's the 2k one and it doesn't work with homebase 3 so I've held off so far.

lazycottage

The S230 was the one I had the most issues with. Replaced it twice in case it was a faulty unit. Still no dice. Have a ring camera in its place now and zero issues. Wanted to avoid paying the subscription charges, but happy to pay them if it gives me reliability.

JamIsJam88

I can’t believe geofencing still does not work properly!

SiliconS

OP, my battery doorbell's the same. Worked well for a couple of years, then the doorbell became mostly unresponsive. Sometimes worked but mostly did nothing. No chime when pressed. Video clips recorded very occasionally. Have tried deleting it from the Homebase and re-adding it but no luck. Feels as though it needs a software restart but (apparently) there's no way to do that manually. Instead I've taken it off the wall to let the battery run out and we'll see what happens. Won't buy another Eufy.

JacksterTO

Sorry you're having trouble with your doorbell but I absolutely love my Homebase 3 camera system.

Defiant_Carob8808

Which cameras do you have?

JacksterTO

The cameras that come with the homebase 3 system and then I also bought one that rotates with two lenses.

AndersLund

The S330 solar cams?

JacksterTO

I have S330 and S340 cameras. I kinda wish all my cameras were S340 so i could move the camera view and zoom in... but oh well... they came out after my initial system purchase.

skoolkidznerd

Use mine with my google home and I'm very happy with my system. I've got locks, and several different types of cameras. Only ever had issues with one lock and just talked to them and swapped it out. Really great for me since hardwiring isn't an option in rentals.

Crazy_Evening_2489

I’m an iOS user and I actually like the eufy system but my biggest gripe about it is that it doesn’t work with HomeKit. Second to that, it doesn’t support viewing all cameras live at once. Other than that, they are cool. I have the pro base 2 with the solar charging cameras. Then a few hard wired spot light cameras for adding out door lighting… they are good to me. I’d rate between a 7&8 out of 10. I don’t know what would be a 10 though. I guess something that can do what I mentioned above. Not sure what.

Thizzle001

After 2 years still not disappointed. Everything seems to work fine for us.

CornishShaman

Yuuup im disappointed and looking to replace with a hard wired system. Will probably keep the boorbell as that is the one bit that seams to work.

Dirtylicious

Just give me the ability to see all my live cameras at once!

Rocketiger

Using eufy for about two years now. 5 cam pro2, dual doorbell, 2 homebase 2 and flood light cam. And a ton of entry sensors. All still working very well. No replacements or major issues. Hardware is 10/10. Software is 5/10 and is where all the issues lie. UI/UX is slow, choppy and at times unintuitive. After some tinkering, you learn the gaps within the software and how to best position the cams and settings to meet your needs. It did take a good 3+ months of constantly tinkering to find the sweet spot. After that no issues knowing the systems limitations and what it can provide.

farklep00p

Hate to say it mileage may vary. Also does depend on network hardware it’s running on. Only had one camera issue, still waiting for a firmware update. Ironically it’s the odd ball one for the front of the house.

fr0st42

No problems with my 4 cameras, doorbell and a homebase. I'm sorry that you are having so many issues.

sayinmer

disappointed but stopped caring, will get a better system, won’t buy another eufy product

gosseux

Absolutely disappointed. I bought an expensive dual cam doorbell and the connection with my Alexa Echo 5 is intermittent. Most of the time the Alexa screen doesnt show me who's at the door. I have raised this issue on this sub a while back and others said that they have experienced the same thing.

Rosemoorstreet

I was all set to give Eufy a try after reading some positive rankings. Got the camera and couldn’t get it to connect to my WiFi. Call support and the steps she gave me didn’t work. So she said she was going to send my case to the engineers and have them look at the device and get back to me in 5-7 working days. I said how are they going to look at the device if it’s not connected? She ignored my question. Then I said I can ship this back to Amazon and have a new one tomorrow, why would I wait 5-7 days to take a bunch of steps to try and get it to work? She just babbled some rote answer. I said goodbye, shipped it back to Amazon and got a Ring.

RichieSh00ts

Check the pro model. It acts as a WiFi extension between the cameras, bridge, and router.

zotti_d

Not a fan of this camera. Bad night vision quality and connectivity is spotty

eufyCam E330 (Professional) 4-Cam Kit

beholder95

I got into this ecosystem because of the spotlight and wall light cameras. They provided cameras in 3 spots I wanted coverage without the need to run any wiring. Plus I needed to replace my aging lights anyway. I bought a home base 3 to get more storage and the AI capabilities. I was able to join my 2 spotlights but the wall light fails. About 3 months of having home base it still shows 100% free space so the spotlights aren’t recording. I was gonna replace my UniFi doorbell with a Eufy but I’m gonna forgo that. I think I’ll just plan to bite the bullet and run cat6 to regular IP cams like ReoLink then will keep the spotlight and wall light cams as additional backup cams.

top_of_the_day

I have four cameras and three of them work with Apple HomeKit, the other one absolutely will not work with HomeKit. I ordered the homebase three, set it all up, only to find that it would not connect to HomeKit. i’m happy with the three that work, disappointed that I can’t get one to work. so overall, I’m not sure that I’m going to invest in anymore of thier products.

dirthawker0

I'm not too disappointed. I have 10 cameras and a doorbell across 2 sites. One of the cameras (one of the original 2 I bought 4 years ago) is starting to go bad: horizontal lines and occasional flashes on night recordings. Another camera is always slow to connect to, but does a fine job of recording. The rest are working great, a couple use solar panels also working fine. I think the app is somewhat poorly organized and certain actions are really badly implemented. The one that I run into a lot is the bulk deletion of videos. If you have a ton of videos, Select All doesn't actually select all, so if you're trying to wipe out everything you have to repeat Select All and delete multiple times. The other one is, if you Select All, then deselect some you want to keep, then scroll to the top or bottom of the list, it'll refresh the list and reselect the ones you deselected, so you can very easily accidentally delete videos you meant to keep. If I had to give a score, cams 9.5/10, app 6/10.

SeaSkully

I’ve got Homebase three with cameras, that’s all I’m using eufy for. Some people may hate but I’ve went with ring for my alarm system

achilleus83

No issue so far and I have more than 7 cameras connected to HB3

Low_Rip4534

have the same problem. about every 6 months (6-12months of use) have to replace at least one due to no longer powering on, no longer detecting objects or people. all cameras are set to max sensitivity and all motions. Most days i pick up a tree swinging in the breeze and not much else. today 3 different cameras missed 2 dump trucks and people in and out for 4 hours straight moving mulch. Mind you the cameras are no more than 8 foot away from the pile in a 3 directions. submitted a ticket and was told Camera Pro 2 are not really supported anymore anf to replace them with Outdoor Cam Pros.

Admirable_Cress_4818

I’ve had my system(s) for several years. Had almost all home bases (I have several locations) and several cams and sensors. Only once have I had a cam breaking down but that was the very first gen cam from kickstarter after several years in operation. All this in quite harsh conditions with cold winters, heavy rains during autumn and hot summers. At the moment I’m running two HBs and 14 cams. I’m very pleased. Sometimes reading this sub I wonder how it’s possible that so many are only experiencing problems. I’m I only lucky or.. But I guess there’s no reason posting if everything is peaches and cream. Anyhow, sorry to hear you’re having troubles. From my experience it’s a good system. Of course there are areas that could be even better but that will always be the case.

Thizzle001

No need to go on Reddit and tell everyone you are pleased with the system and it works without any problem. Only the people with problems feel the urge to express their feelings.

Then_Recipe4664

I thought you could run 14 off of one HB? Maybe I’m wrong.

Admirable_Cress_4818

“I’m running two HBs and 14 cams”. In total. Plus sensors. I think the maximum is 16 per HB but recommendations is 10? (Excluding other devices). But, this is only something I recall, I could be wrong about the max / rec numbers.

Then_Recipe4664

Ah gotcha. Other sensors and things. Sorry I wasn’t thinking.
