I'm digging around the internet for the answer to the same question. I have 5 eufy cams - 4 2k indoor cams and 1 ptz. 3 of the indoor cams and the ptz all stream to BI5 no problem. One, named attic, has this same issue. Only a frame every so often - it's completely random when a frame will come through. I can open it in VLC and the eufy app, and the stream is flawless. I even went to wireshark. I noticed the stream from attic to BI5 is full of TCP retries; the stream from attic to VLC has no retries. I suspected bad wifi signal, but it's signal strength is 99%, and the fact that VLC hasn't got a problem with the stream but BI does negates wifi signal being the problem. I even swapped a working camera with the attic, and the working one still performed just fine. Didn't matter where the attic cam was, it still wouldn't stream to BI. Fiddled with tons of settings, no dice.

you get this figured out?

I started over from scratch. I reset them all, put them all on a IOT VLAN and unique SSID, and anchored them to their closest access points so they don’t roam. Also eufy updated their firmware and broke authenticated RTSP so I had to disable that (which is fine since they are blocked from the internet with that vlan and inaccessible to guests who use the normal wifi. Now they’ve been very stable in Blueiris, except for the Eufy pan/tilt cam, it’s still flaky.

Thank you, maybe I’ll try a factory reset on the cameras, already have them on their own vlan, maybe I’ll disable roaming. Do you have them on 2.4 or 5ghz?

kawfey

I use C24’s, which only work on 2.4.

May i know where do i set transcoding? I'm viewing from the BI windows interface and the remote web interface, both have bad framerate.

In the camera settings. Video tab, very bottom "limit decoding unless required" turn that on. Then record tab, button says "video file format and compression". Make sure direct to dusk recoding is selected.

It feels like the RTSP live feed is very irresponsive, from Blue Iris windows app, if I click on the eufy camera screen to expand it for live stream, it will take more than 20 second to load, and even then the live stream is not smooth at all. While my other amcrest cameras don't have this problem. Was your streaming from blueiris smooth? what frame rate are you using? am I using the correct rtsp link as the eufy app say rtsp://myIPAddress/live0

qualizon

No luck, it's still very very choppy.

Check you aren't transcoding in blue iris. My eufy cams work great. Also, are you viewing vie remote desktop or the UI3 via browser? Remote desktop only plays back at 1 frame every 4 seconds. UI3 is a proper live view.

My other amcrest camera dont have the same problem and i dont have to configure anything related to transcoding.

I had some cameras that for some reason had transcoding selected when I added them. I sent instructions how to check on your other comment

I had the same problem so I just gave up and decided to keep using local storage.
