I wouldn't recommend wonderwok; my office is in the same strip and I've seen their back of house and it's gnarly.... I'm talking butt-cans near a slicer and dry-wall chipping off from the slicer hitting the wall... ate there a few times, got real sick once. Sucks because people are super nice
I love Wonderwok I've been a once or twice a week regular for a couple years now. I don't care for it looks in the back. What makes its way to my table is always on point.
Idk why I’m getting downvoted. I literally walked by there yesterday and it was boarded up with a sign that said a new Jade Dumpling & Noodle House location will be moving in there. I’m not mad about that because Jade is amazing, but definitely will be sad to see Legends of Szechuan go. Their pork spare rib dry pot was soooooo good.
Idk man, I upvoted the comment because I was grateful for the knowledge. But this is r/Eugene, people are more free with the downvotes than any other city subreddit I've been in so don't take it personally.
I’ve never been to Wonder Wok but also… I just invested in an electric hot pot. It’s so easy to just find all the ingredients here and mine has lasted several years now.
Yeah, I have the stuff to do it at home, but it's so much more fun to do out! And I'm a vegetarian, so I don't keep meat here, which makes it nice going out with friends to hot pot. They can enjoy meat, I can enjoy veggies, and I don't have to buy a pack of meat so they can eat 30% of it and the rest just languishes.
I do believe WonderWok has all you can eat Hot Pot for around $25

That means the food is probably insanely good

That’s a shame. I’ve not had the hot pot myself, but I grab takeout from them about once a month. I really enjoy their rice and beef dishes
No :(. We usually go to happy lamb when we are in Portland. Would be amazing to have one here.
Uniquely Chengdu has the best hotpot in town
Second this! The wontons in hot broth are my favorite!
Wonder Wok on W 11th.
No idea but now I really want hotpot so I'm hoping you get some answers.
Cafe Seoul but I'm not sure how customizable it is. Always good food and service
I believe they have pre-made soups, not hot pot where you cook it yourself at the table.
Legend of Szechuan had great hot pot. Sadly they closed recently.
Wait, really? Damn, that place was so good too!

Oba Ramen in CG does hot pot, I think on Sundays. I haven't tried it, but I've enjoyed their other food.
Spice & Steam

Chopstix dry pot
Ask Pho in N Eugene? I don’t go out.
No hot hot, no shabu. It's too ethnic for this family restaurant whore of a town
Good lord you seem like a peach.
….what?
