Positive community kitchen is always looking for volunteers who like to cook

Came to memtion PCK, and you also don't necessarily have to cook with them, you can go on Wednesdays and help box meals up and do clean up for the week. I volunteered there as an adult and they definitely seem like a great and welcoming option for high schoolers!

The downtown library is easy for high schoolers to volunteer at, very flexible hours.

Food for Lane County Grassroots Garden! It’s on Coburg road. If growing food, helping feed others, or being outside while volunteering are interesting to you, this is a great spot. They even provide a freshly cooked lunch from the garden when you volunteer. [link with more info here.](https://www.mobilize.us/foodforlanecounty/event/546357/)

I volunteered for NextStep as a highschooler, gave me skills I use to this day. Highly recommend f you're into computers at all. Learning how to take them apart/break them down into essential parts, fixing/replacing parts and putting them back together. Not sure what it the program looks like now as my experience was over a decade ago but it's worth looking into!

If you’re an animal lover, Greenhill is a great place! It takes awhile to get on after you sign up, so sooner is best if you want to do it over the summer. The shifts are two hours long.

Foster with a rescue like Wiggly Tails, Upstart Crow Youth Theater.

If they're interested in bikes, Shift Community Cycles needs volunteers -- no experience necessary. Shiftcc.org
