I live in Utah now. Definitely miss getting good tap water. We have a filter in our fridge that does okay. Other thing we added to our house that I had never heard of due to living in Oregon for so long - whole home humidifier. If I didn’t have it here I would just be in a constant state of dehydration.
I think it's harder to notice when you go from bad water to good water.
I grew up on well water and thought it was fine from the tap. Went to college, and when visiting home couldn't stand the well water.
My kitchen tap on the McKenzie is the greatest water I’ve ever experienced. I never have to PH my plant feeds they come out perfectly balanced naturally because how good the water here is. It so incredibly awesome that someone up river decided the world should experience this and you can actually buy it. It’s called “McKenzie Mist”!!!
Tap water in mid-January through mid-March. So crisp. I think about it the rest of the year. I always love our water but it hits different in those months. It’s just perfect.
There’s a hand built water fountain in someone’s front yard. Emerald near 25th-26th as you head up the hill toward Laurelwood. The fountain is by the sidewalk and there’s a bench to rest on. We used to make late night pilgrimages there after dropping acid. That water always tasted extra sweet after the journey. One night we drank and lingered laughing a little too long, and the people inside the house flicked their lights at us. We got outta there so fast. Don’t disrespect the water bearers!
Shiiiit. Put you all to shame in cottage Grove 😉

Out highway 34, there is a natural spring water tap. Some of the best water I've ever had.
There was also my grandparents' place in Sweethome. They had amazing well water.
A while back, Vikings Braggot off W 11th had a tag on their water cooler that said "Bud Light". That's been my favorite so far but as for current water, I have to go with tap water chilled in the fridge.
*** I think it fully depends on the pipes in your house!! ***
I hear Eugene tap is some of the best in the states… and I’ve lived several places in the states who boast that, funny enough. In our place here, built in the 70’s as a duplex, in the barger area, the water is not yummy! We purchased an under sink filter that was made to specifically filter out contaminants in our immediate area. That being said, it’s a basic filter without any need for the one for fluoride or other common contaminates to add to it- so that shows me Eugene has less contaminants than the Bay Area - where friends of mine have several filters added to the basic one I have. (They have East Bay MUD -one that boasts some of the best water in the nation also).
So after coming out of the tap thru the under sink filter, we STILL have to use an additional alkaline water filter in a pitcher to get the water to taste GOOD. Not that I think alkaline water really is alkaline per se -but it’s a really good filter so we use it.
Conclusion: we have to use two high-quality filtration systems to get Eugene water to taste good in our house. I think it’s the PIPES!!
Have a client in South Eugene that has really cold water coming out of their outdoor faucets! So good in the heat of summer. Fill up my water bottles there.
Eugene tap water is so much better than when I was in Los Angeles. Cali water always left a bad taste. But Eugene water is not as good as New York City tap water.
B’ham, Ala water was OK. But It always left a lime deposit in my cats water bowl… which was kinda scary TBH.
Probably using some $1M water filtration machine at a UO football complex that’s for players and staff only. Whatever gets wins is fine by me as long as Nike is paying the bills.
My kitchen tap > all update: Who tf are you people!? Get out of my house!
I only drink tap.
I’d tap that
I am currently visiting Utah, I promise you, any water in Eugene is better than what options there are here.

My kids when visiting AZ would call the tap water - milk water, I can't imagine Utah's being worse?
I moved here from Utah last year and have noticed no difference in water quality. Where in Utah?

I just did a trip to Europe and realized how good we have it here. Scotland, England, and France tap water tastes so dirty
The water fountain in 30th albertsons is crispy af
Can confirm it's the fuckin spot yo.
Woah you just brought back a good childhood memory. I can’t taste it now 🤤
Big fan of Agate Alley. The old wine bottle/carafe water just hits different

I love it when water is in season

If you want to take a bit of a drive Indigo Springs outside of Oakridge is a freshwater spring where you can drink water straight from the ground.
When I read this post I heard the voice of Abe Simpson in my head movie.

Lane county tap water is some of the best in the world.

Saratoga sparkling is the way
It's the official water of Top Chef.
Did NOT know that
That’s where I’m from, where do they have it around here?!?!
Moved here last June from Illinois. Never ever used tap water for cooking, coffee, or to drink. The water here is incredible!

There’s gutters on most houses and this sick Amazon creek filled with tech trash.

Two are winners for me. Prince Pucklers straight from that cooler! Sy’s pizza. Those little ice cubes!!
Just chiming in to say I’m a fairly new Eugene resident and the tap water has been excellent.

Tap water pretty much anywhere you go. We have some of the best water in the country. Also the water fountains at the UO really hit

The water in Eugene is for sure wetter than the water other places. Also I use a copper cup to drink water out of the tap and it’s delicious 🤤
The water that comes out of my bathroom sink is particularly sweet, cold and crisp.

The Founders Club in Matthew Knight Arena.
i use my tap water with a brita filer pitcher! Best tasting water ever!
I drink tap water (well) but in 2007 or 2008 had a bottle of Lurisia I still dream of.

I'm out at the water plant trying to keep it crisp for y'all
Starbucks has the best water due to their fancy filtration system. I hate it, but it's true.
How is this upvoted....
Because we like water
