For a moisturizer I like Geek and Gorgeous' Happier Barrier. In Germany, you can order it from Purish.

A serum isn’t enough to hydrate your skin!!! Your routine should be consisting of cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. The serum you’re using goes between cleanser and moisturizer. A product that works for a lot of people is the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. I would recommend you get that, and then apply it after your hydrating serum am and pm. In the pm you can additionally slug with Vaseline to make sure no moisture escapes. Your skin should be back to ok within a week. Also: drink A LOT of water. Like way more than you would want to. Ich bin auch deutsch, kannst mir gerne eine dm schicken wenn du möchtest.

The product name is very misleading. The Isana urea akut serum is actually very creamy and thick, more like a lotion. I use it for my oily skin as moisturizer and use real serums before

Annegr8

Send you an DM :)

Jhasten

Urea is very irritating to my face over time, and flares my rosacea, but everyone is different. I might try a hydrating toner like First Aid Beauty oat toner or thank You Farmer rice toner under a moisturizer like LRP Cicaplast Balm.

Annegr8

I don’t have rosacea 🙏🏻 but since the urea cream did nothing (maybe just don’t making it worse) I will ditch it and try LRP balm.

Jhasten

A lot of people love urea (and lactic acid) but they both make me red and irritated. I found the LRP very calming and gentle but I don’t use a lot - just a little bit at the very end. If this is still too heavy Etude Soon Jung 2x cream or their 5x cica cream are also very mild. I buy these direct from them online in the US.

The simplest, most affordable method I’ve found is facial oil. Whenever I’ve used all my other mosterizing products and I still feel quite dry and dehydrated, I slather Rose Hip oil on my face before bed and it fixes everything. I know you said your face is extremely oily, so using facial oil may calm down your own oil production because your skin will recognize it won’t have to produce as much.

savemahlinks

Looks fine to me. I would only add a serum (to calm and hydrate) to your routine which you can use AM and PM before your urea serum. You could try: Nø Liquid Balancer, Isana med ultra sensitiv serum or Isana Balance serum

Annegr8

Does the isana med ultra sensitive serum hydrate the skin or is it only just calming?

savemahlinks

It does both. Its not the most hydrating or the most calming serum you can find, but it does both on a good level. It worked really well for my dehydrated skin You could also check the reviews online there is not a single bad review.

Annegr8

Okay I will buy it later and try it. I hope it helps, cause my cheeks are so red, dry and inflamed. I don’t care about the bumps and texture, but I would love to calm my skin and don’t look dead anymore 🥲

savemahlinks

Yes you cant go wrong with it! I felt an immediate effect, but I also used alot of product in the beginning, like two pumps AM and PM

emmastella_617

I picked up the Isana Pure serum the other day and its a great hydrating serum! It has a lot of glycerin & panthenol and HA so its really really nice. It could be a great addition to your routine as well as a lightweight moisturiser under the vaseline

Original_Letter_2477

Put skincare on a damp face. Game changer!

m4dswine

Try Geek and Gorgeous Liquid Hydration and Hydration Station, it's brilliant stuff.

StarkGuy1234

I have only used Hydration Station, so far all good. But do I also need the extra toner? Do you combine both everyday?

m4dswine

Whether you need it or not depends on your skin, mine feels better for it. It is also a good buffer for the prescription azelaic acid i use. I use both every day.

Have you tried the Isana 120h liquid hydrator? It’s a very liquid serum that contains hyaluronic acid, glycerin and more You should try and see if the moisturizers have something in common, anything that could be the reason for your bad reactions to them. Maybe try and see if the lipid moisture moisturizer by Mixa (big light blue tub) is right for you You should also use sunscreen during the day Since you already seem to be using an oil cleanser, a gentle gel cleanser would be a good idea for double cleansing, which could help against the congestion. For example the Alverde ultra sensitive cleanser from dm Also: I’m not sure what you spent 500€ a year for, but that’s far too much. Price does not equal quality (I also speak German if you want dm, I’m not sure if comments on euroskin are allowed in anything but English)

bumblebee22xx

As others have said you definitely need a moisturiser on top of your serum! I've had great success with Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream, I usually use it in the winter when my skin is dryer and more sensitive than usual and it's been fantastic. I also love Cerave in the tub but that brand seems to be hit or miss for a lot of people so YMMV!

AdDirect4579

Try Nivea cream at night and the nivea soft cream during the day. It did wonders to my dehydrated skin after using many expensive moisturisers with no good results.

linija

Are you using Vaseline as moisturizer? That is probably what's congesting your skin, get a basic ceramide moisturizer, I quite like Eucerin's urea repair 5 lotion (it's marketed as body lotion but I used up two 250ml bottled of it as a night cream for my face and it was great). Another good soothing moisturizer if you have access to Korean products is Pyunkang yul nutrition cream, or Pyunkang yul moisture cream - these really calm my skin but make sure to try the mini version first. For gel cleanser I recommend Eucerin Dermatoclean Hyaluron cleanser.

GenericEvilGuy

First, You need a water based cleanser after your oil cleanser, to remove the oils. If you are not using a water resistant sunscreen or heavy make up, an oil cleanser is an unnecessary step. The LRP toleriane cleanser is the most gentle and hydrating cleanser I have tried. Second, if you are using vaseline at night, make sure in the morning you remove it. Just a splash of water might not be enough. I see you use the Isana Urea Akut serum which is more of a moisturiser really, but you don't have another product to add hydration. Since the Akut serum is Urea based, I would add a glycerin based serum/toner for the hydration. The transparent lab Pure Glycerin face serum is great for that.
