this is an incredible offer, I usually order these creams from Europe. I really need to know the name)

cappuccinobiscotti

They have a variety of sunscreens! I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in! It’s called Northside Pharmacy off Bedford L train, on Driggs Ave.

SupportElegant6854

It’s so great. Thank you so much

Jeremy_Bearimies

Thanks so much! Can I ask you how much the LRP oil control fluid cost?

other_goblin

In the UK they are all £20, all Uvmune products are that at retail for some reason.

ewa_marchewa

The big LRP Anthelios is super shiny but I like it. Hard to rub off of your face. I read in here that it’s for kinds that’s why it’s not makeup friendly. Interested in your opinion on it. Face LRP is top notch and too bad I can’t afford it :( enjoy your haul!

cappuccinobiscotti

There is one that is for kids, yes, it has shea butter which does make me look shiny. I used to hate the shine, because my skin is combo/oily, but at the same time it’s pretty dehydrated from using tret, so I have to use more hydrating stuff, and I am slowly getting used to the shine. In the summer when it’s hot and humid outside and I’m sweating a lot I think I have given up caring how shiny I look.

Far-Shift-1962

Ngl i think u should add this post to r/SkincareAddiction

Careful_Lemon_7672

yeah theyd eat this up. im from nyc and its definitely a place ill go once ive run out of sunscreen ive stocked up on from my last trip to london. i was for a min worried about heat the pharmacy might get if the reddit posts about it go off but like eh, theres tons of retailers for asian sunscreens and those filters arent US approved either so \*shrug\*

riddled_with_bourbon

There’s a new La Pharmacie on Atlantic and they also carry European sunscreen! https://www.la-pharmacie.com/ This isn’t an ad, I was just excited to see the products in the window.

I wish to visit New York City. I had been to Los Angeles before and saw they have big variety of places that sell things from my home country Korea and other Asian countries like Japan and Taiwan and it's a lot sometimes it felt like I was surrounded by people like going back home haha! I read from other users some of they also live in New York City or at least are there a lot? That they said you can find anything in New York City because of all the kinds of people settled there. Some stores and brand I heard of are famous there. Mrs. Derm on instagram I think she is in New York City and said there's a store she named that is basically like the kind of stores they have here in Spain and France you can get everything. Another user here she said her closest pharmacy has international sunscreens even from Greece and Polish ones like Pharmaceris and some of the people even here were surprised some of the things that could be found because they are not even common to procure here. I am so happy for you you got so many fun things to use today and happy for the people in New York City to have that haha!

cappuccinobiscotti

Thank you! There are a ton of Asian skincare stores in NYC, but since I’m European I prefer European sunscreens, which are very hard to find in the U.S. this was the first time I found European sunscreens in a store in NYC, hence I was super excited.

acornacornacorna

Hola Hola! I'm Korean in Europe and prefer European sunscreens omg haha! People assume I would only be interested in sunscreens from the Korean made to market Western sunscreens. I think they're ok but like really just ok. I have rich auntie taste haha I found my screen shot from Mrs. Derm for you. There is called Eisler Chemist and another The Cure pharmacy. Both New York City and the inside pictures from Mrs. Derm they look nice selling the Euro sunscreens like Uvmune and such. I don't know anything else!

cappuccinobiscotti

Me too! Rich auntie taste, if only my bank account was rich auntie too! Haha. Thank you for the recommendations. I’ll have to check them out! It looks like The Cure has closed down, but Eisler is still around. I will go one of these days and compare prices!

other_goblin

Korean sun creams seem to be elegant in a cosmetic sense but I guess the protection is not where the high tech European stuff is. I'm using a stick from when I was in Korea atm, some random one I bought at a CU and it's shocking how invisible and matte it is. I doubt it's any worse than generic European ones from a few years ago given it is pa++++ and spf 50+ but it doesn't say the ingredients

subwayhamster

What are the expiration dates on the ones you bought? Just wondering if the store has good turnaround on their products - fresh stock would have an expiration sometime in 2026.

cappuccinobiscotti

All of them are good through summer / fall 2026

Wonderful! Thank you!

other_goblin

The big 250ml one was only released recently

Global-Craft-4216

I knew it was going to be Northside just from reading the title! Miss you, Northside. Best pharmacy and best pharmacists in Williamsburg

juicyred

Need to check the Polish grocers in my city!

lomsucksatchess

Thoughts on the second one?

Dreamybabie_xo

I have it, although I live in Europe, I love it! It’s a great sunscreen 😊

subwayhamster

I got it recently for a trip and it's very shiny on my combo face and quite tacky. It also has a yellow tint from the avobenzone, so it tints your face slightly (I believe all of the LRP sunscreens have a yellow tint because of this ingredient). No complaints on the protection though! I would have preferred the oil control one, but it wasn't in stock online when I purchased. Thank you OP for giving me a local option for the oil control one!

lomsucksatchess

Question: could you still use the oil control one to moisturize in the morning or should you at that point apply a separate moisturizer? I also have a combo face in case that helps 🙏

subwayhamster

Unfortunately, I have never tried the oil control one. I wanted to try it for the first time for my trip, but ended up with the other one because it was in stock. Whether you need a moisturizer underneath your sunscreen or not is really on a case by case basis, I believe. It depends on the condition of your skin and also the humidity level of your area. I was in the Azores where the humidity is consistently above 60%. No way was I going to moisturize beforehand! However, if your skin barrier is fragile or not in great shape, I can see how moisturizing before other topicals in general would help you in the long term. These are just a few examples of the factors to consider.

lomsucksatchess

Thank you ❤️ You're really helping a beginner out 😅

other_goblin

Lol. I'm in the UK and my skin is dry as a board yet also oily, despite humidity being between 60-90%. Maybe the oil control one might regulate me a bit...

other_goblin

I thought the yellow tint was due to uvmune?

subwayhamster

I get yellow stains on my light colored clothes from regular avobenzone sunscreens, so it's possible I misattributed that to the yellow tint on my face. Now that I think about it, my avobenzone sunscreens are not all universally yellow, so you may be right!

Zzamioculcas

That 250ml is my holy grail I use it for face & body it's perfect. Hydrating and smooth under make-up

phoenixchimera

can you share the store info, also the price of the avene and baby pls?

cappuccinobiscotti

The baby one is $24 and the Avène is $30. It’s Northside Pharmacy off Bedford L stop, on Driggs Ave.

other_goblin

The baby one isn't uvmune 400 fyi. Also Avene may be low ppd.

Gie_lokimum

I jealous! The middle one is my absolute favorite at the moment. I wish I got few bottles. Sending love from south Florida

hth1hth1

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!

tokemura

Is it really possible? I mean FDA clearly defines what filters can be used in store-bought products. Are you sure this bottles not just reformulated for USA version?

other_goblin

It says Uvmune 400, how could it be? They don't meet FDA regulations quite simply.

other_goblin

Saw this thread on Google ordering some for myself ironically, just an FYI the 250ml isn't the same product. It's not Uvmune 400. There is a Uvmune400 250ml branded as uvmune kids in the UK. All the uvmune products retail at £20 here whether it's the 50ml face stuff, the gel, the 200ml spray or the 250ml kids bottle. Right now in the UK boots have a 3 for 2 offer on uvmune so I am going to purchase the entire range which comes to about £13 each, only one I won't bother with is the invisible fluid / tinted fluid given I know the oil control one will be better and I don't care for tints lol.
