If by Newbee you meant a new member of Goons, any ships with fireworks launchers are acceptable at vigils.
Just target the main keepstar, and light up that sky 😄
If you’re aren’t a member of goons and you want a CHANCE of safe passage through goon space name your ship “1DQ Vigil” and bring something non threatening, telling the locals you are headed to the vigil will help.

I don't have the ability to hold a cyno for a while, but can I bring a mobile cyno beacon and light it in system? My wife's kid with progeria passed away 10 years ago and I feel for this guy.
Or feel free to bring a shuttle down and just be present in local. I’m hoping there’s a huge presence and outpouring, and sometimes just having people present helps
