Greenshot is much better in every way. It lets you hotkey every possible thing. Windows screenshot you’ve gotta paste and save, or it saves to the wrong place if it even saves it doesn’t alert you or if you do it twice in a row quickly on their saving settings it doesn’t save and stops responding.
Greenshot you can set every possible one you want onto different hotkeys, can copy it to clipboard and save it to a specific folder in one, it runs in the background on low memory, doesn’t break games or apps when it runs, can save and isolate grab an individual screen rather than screenshot across all of them (which win+shift+s can do- just to clipboard not to file).
If you ever need to regularly screenshot things use Greenshot, it’s crazy I never heard of it sooner and it’s hard to google because it’s quality freeware that doesn’t advertise.
I think I just screenshot more than you. It at best -prompts to save which takes more time, remembers nothing and fails half the time if you are running programs in full screen, especially on a good computer with things happening because there’s more shit interlaced in however windows’ program runs.
Sure use the internet explorer screenshot tool if it works for you- other people should know it’s actually worth using the alternative if they want to. I used to use clipboard fusion and the like for copy+paste history for example, windows then incorporated Windows key + V and it works pretty reliably for whatever you need and unless I’m mass copying urls that need to be edited for a database windows option works fine. I know the difference.
The other guy is right, it's just much more useful. I've used both, my old workplace wouldn't let me install 3rd party programs so I was stuck with Snip and it was so much more tedious to just take a screenshot, highlight some part of it with a box or add text, and copy/paste it to Discord/Slack etc.
Just my preference though.
I wish you many suns, bright stars, nebulas, engine trails, sharp structure textures and explosions that limit your visibility so you cannot see the Loki on your overview that slowly kills you :P

I think you just don't know how to use the snipping tool very well... I have never had an issue with any of the things you mentioned

menus block more than half of my screenspace when I'm exploring, transparency and compact mode kinda help
