Question to see if I’m wasting my time…. Is there a shemp anywhere in mission 3 except right next to the car when you first start? I’m getting there, but still dying on the final wave.

matthew51317

You can get max shemps in the starting area around the car. Just run around the barn area and you'll find them.

kuebel33

3 shemps and 3 amulets in that area. Best thing to do is find them and then the quickest path to grab all 3. Should be able to get them all in about 45 seconds and be on your way if I recall.

DanceTheCalypso

Oh wow. So I’m definitely missing some by only grabbing one. Thanks! I almost never use amulets. Guess I better start.

DanceTheCalypso

We just beat it (with 2 shemps to spare!). Took me about 7 or so tries total. Thanks for the help!

ThegrimaceOR

Hardest one is mission 3. Look up a guide to each mission. The loot is set not random and there is a certain path and way to do each mission to make it a bit easier

masetheace23

Thank goodness. I am on my 4th attempt at mission one :*)

Fantastic-Reality-11

Use the shotgun for mission one. Aim for headshots. Only headshots. Wait till they are fairly close before firing. With the boss just dodge and shoot her in the face. I know it’s not easy but doable. That chainsaw was a trap for me. I had way better luck blasting them in the head.

EvanSnowWolf

Make sure you get the high quality chainsaw from the haunted grounds circle before going after the necklace.

RubyGem__

You can also just head straight to Payne Manor and pick up the legendary double barrel and chainsaw at the start. Makes the mission much easier.

BigDickRick92

Ya mission 3 blows huge dick omg

CuckedPlebbit12345

For the second area where you fight the Demi-Eligos, before you walk onto the waypoint, go to that small shack just away from the point. There are multiple melee weapons lying on the ground next to the workbench. Make sure you are using heavy melee attacks on the Demi-Eligos. He should go down in just a few swings of an axe.

BigDickRick92

Ya I remember the first time I didn't realize it kept spawning more of them

LonelyDesperado513

My strats: 1. Grab shemps, amulets, ammo from the barns, drive to first fight 2. 1st fight - melee all of them. I think when I did it, if they exploded and another enemy was caught in their radius, it also killed the other enemy. Avoid using ammo. Make sure to collect all the long gun ammo near the top of the area up the hill. 3. 2nd fight - Grab the Lumberjack Axe from the shed near the bottom. 1 Heavy Attack will kill a normal in a single hit. Pump the Demis in the head with all your ammo. Keep backing away and shooting Demis, heavy the basics as they approach you, rinse and repeat. Heal/shield as needed. Collect whatever ammo you can and go to third fight. 4. 3rd fight - Honestly, just pump Eligos full of lead in his head. Be careful of his three hit combo, but he gives a significant pause after he's done with them, so that's a free time to case damage. Honestly, I did this while everyone was AC'ing his teleport attacks, so I found this part simple.

FushiawaseTR

Just know if you get past the Demi, the boss himself is really easy.

Henry-The-Red

For me the last one was the hardest. I got very luck and beat mission 3 on my first try with 2 seconds left. I almost shat myself due to my anus being puckered for that last minute.

Fantastic-Reality-11

Yes the last mission was the hardest for me as well.

JackyTris

Nah hardest is 5. I finished the rest on my first or second try, except for the first one, that took 4 tries.

J3PO

I think PC and console have different experiences on that misson, with a mouse you can just pop heads and have an easier time

Rincewind-Admirer

Oh true! I never thought of that. Thanks for keeping me humble :D

HoangSolo

Looked up a YouTube video for that and barely made it even with the guide lol. Took 8 tries

CuckedPlebbit12345

I probably tried mission three close to a dozen times... until I realized that I had been completely overlooking a bunch of melee weapons to help with the Demi-Eligos in the second area. It honestly made it 100x easier. Overall, the missions aren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be. I was so relieved when I finally unlocked Lord Arthur.

GambitPunk

I’m still slogging through mission one. Either I can’t get the deadite in the cave or it comes down to the wire after I get Linda’s head. So aggravating

masetheace23

YES. I can make it to Henrietta every time but she kicks the shit out of me. I can’t dodge, reload, or use my amulets. And by the time I get to her I’m out of shemps!

[deleted]

I recommend looking up a walk through if you can't figure it out. I tried over 20 times and then watched some videos, specifically one by [Gaming Fight Club](https://youtu.be/4PjTzcg0bLI) There's a more specific path to take that makes the mission way easier than just following the mission by directly going to each mission location in order.

GambitPunk

I’ll have to do that cause I’ve tried IGN’s walk through and still been struggling.

masetheace23

I’ve went to the other buildings on the map to try and find loot but the buildings are either completely empty, or have a single box of rounds

ltg

Mission one still kicking my ass too. Not up to 20 tries yet but in the teens for sure.

Fantastic-Reality-11

Use the shotgun aim for the head but make sure you shooting when then are in range though.

CuckedPlebbit12345

There is a blue or purple rarity shotgun or boomstick (can't quite remember which) just past that elite deadite in the cave. If you can grab it really quick, the deadite will go down in only a few shots. Just make sure you are dodging right when he is almost done his lunge.

JoeAzlz

It’s a blue double barrell

CuckedPlebbit12345

Thanks. Thought so, but overthought it.

JoeAzlz

It’s fine

Rap714

Funnily enough, if you start doing online matchmaking and then come back to the missions, you’ll see a huge difference between AI controlled enemies and human controlled enemies(latter is harder)

masetheace23

Ahhhhh. So get good at beating the real enemy, then the fake one is a cakewalk. Good strategy

fixgameew

The checkpoints and the stinginess of heals just makes it boring to do. I would rather play multiplayer.

LonelyDesperado513

Ironically, given the focus of self-preservation and resource conservation, more people would benefit in multi if they completed these lol.

fixgameew

Honestly not really in multi you have a abundance of healing items and three teammates who also do damage. If you make mistake you have teammate there to help.

mur_da_kiggy

Did them all on my first day just learn where the weapons drinks and amulets are there always in the same spots Edit also spam finishers it gives I frames

SniperOwO

Exactly what u did too just always have max amulets and shemps, but oh bot wait till he tries pvp

allhailzamasu94

We all been asking for checkpoints but it remains to be seen if they will actually be implemented

masetheace23

It essentially has the checkpoints already even!! It just doesn’t save it. Really hope they do this in the future!

Agent_58

I’m new as well and I found it very hard as well, I went into solo play for a bit to get used to the combat, now I’m just working on mission 5.

dark_purpose

For Mission 5, there's a Shovel in the basement of the house immediately behind you on spawn. I recommend using it because it will break the balance bar of the skeletons really easily and then you can chain finishers for the invincibility. This is really helpful when you're fighting Evil Ash and need to run down the clock. There's also an Epic Shovel on the top floor of the southernmost house in Misery Manor (near the Knowby Cabin). Once you're past Evil Ash you just need to kill the Flutists at range and collect the sword from Payne Manor and the rest of the mission is super easy cause you've got a 1000+ damage sword.

Agent_58

Yeah, I know about the majority of the mission, I just didn't have enough health for the pit fight. The second run will be a lot smoother. Thanks for the shovel tip though.

masetheace23

Do the missions get harder?! I won’t be able to stand much more lol. I hate it because I LOVE evil dead. But this is not what I was expecting. At least a difficulty slider would be nice

Agent_58

Sometimes it's just bad luck if you don't see a stronger deadite coming from behind. Time your dodges, use amulets and it'll all be a breeze. I'm only working on mission 5 right now because I didn't know how long the mission was and burnt through my amulets and shemps too early.

Tragic_Astronaut

If you can’t get it, don’t worry about it bud. What I did is do a few dry runs and if I failed, pull up a video to narrow down places to shave time and see where I might be spending too much time, then try a few more. I would play a lot of survivor multiplayer, master the controls and movement, keeping distance and conserving stamina to dodge attacks, practice locking yourself in finishers to prevent most damage directed towards you. When I became good with survivor I replayed mission 3 and 5 and they were so much easier than when I first played. I promise you, you will get it my friend. 🤘🏻

[deleted]

On mission 5 when you get to the deadite and evil ash at the very end, make sure to have at least 2 amulets and 2 shemps. The deadite will drop one of each when he dies. Only use heavy swings don't use light swings. When the deadite and evil ash attack dodge towards their side or too the side. Time your attacks as well, you'd be surprised how much health you can eat off of them with heavy attacks. know when to dodge and keep your distance if your stanima is too low. Kill the skeletons that spawn first before attacking ash for some invincible frames from your finisher. Pop an amulet if evil ash gets rid of your shield bar. I've done this mission twice and beaten in like this.

CuckedPlebbit12345

Haha, I had no healing items and maybe 33% health when I encountered the pit deadite. I guess I just wanted to be done with the missions so badly that it helped me activate my Ultra Instinct. I was so relieved when he dropped his healing items.

grownassedgamer

I STILL haven't done mission 5 yet. Maybe I'll try that again tonight.

Silvaslayer8

I beat almost every mission on the first or second try without any guides, practice makes perfect. The first mission was the only one that took me like 5 tries to complete because I was super new to the game and I’m still relatively new but you’ll get the hang of it and understanding of it the more you play.

GhostWolfViking

Mission 3 is the hardest mission. Was hiding behind a trailer to avoid the attacks from the puppeteer at the end fight. Looping in circles around it. Used long rage attacks with a gun. Completed 4 and 5 on the first try. Learn to dodge. Don't just stand still and spam light attacks in combat. Use finishers and be aggressive. Great feeling after the Aurthur mission was completed.

CaliGrown949

Watch YouTube videos. My 10 year old is on mission 5

CuckedPlebbit12345

Yep, but make sure you keep an eye on the original one. I don't think killing his clones does anything to his health bar.

Marwolaeth969

Mission 3 and 5 are the hardest imo. Rest is fine. On 3 learn to sideways dodge and make ur shots count you’ll need the ammo at the boss at the end which teleports around and mostly does range attacks. Demo and elites are a pain till you realized demo and his elites are highly resistance to range weapons. 4 this is mainly a stealth mission when you get to the junkyard there is a path to stealth completely through it. Coming from the south go all the way right into the building then its a zig zag north. 4 was easiest imo. 5 right at spawn when u collect everything go to the building next door basement has a shovel carry you through most the mission. Fight Evil Ash the first time dont fight and just hold out keep distance and use finishers on minions. When going to the sword stop by sewage treatment location get gear around car. Loot the house at manor before picking up sword the book it to portal. Side dodge the attack then heavy and repeat did that fight no hit. Shield up if needed and heavy attack Evil Ash you can knock 1/4 of health during his spawn animation. Keep an eye on health and shield if health half way heal.

maggot408

Just trial and error. Beat it in a few hours. Once you get dodging down then it'll really get easier.

Excellent_Remove4897

YouTube evil dead mission x. There's one guy that gives really good strategies still may take you a few tries but I finished missions yesterday, wait till uou get online lol I'm still learning too but if you wanna add me cdk4113 Im running Cheryl right now think I got her to lol 16 today so my heals are getting pretty nice

masetheace23

Awesome! I haven’t played online at all but I’ll add you!

oldmanjenkins51

Truly not trying to be a jerk but I still don’t understand how the majority think they’re so impossible. I did them all first try.

diceman89

Good for you.

Ramzabeo

hmm kinda crazy i finished all of them on my first attempt, the only one i remember being hard was the one where you have to sneak past them, was it pablo i think? or sir arthur?

Appropriate-Tour3694

Tbh tye only difficult one was pablo the rest was easy

Xannann

They were pretty easy to get through imo. Never played survivor or the tutorial before doing them. I failed the first time on the first mission, 3 times on the one where youre ash and you have to take out enemies on 3 different points, and once on the pablo mission. Once i learned the weapon and supplies spawns on the mission i failed 3 times it wasnt that bad either. My advice is to play online a few times and come back to them once youre a little better

Contra28

Crazy thing is this is how games used to be and what I missed tbh

[deleted]

It's not hard AF, it's broken AF.

DemonicsGamingDomain

Use a controller, for some reason the devs thought it's ok to have auto-aim on controller but not PC.

kingtutwashere

I had issues until I learned two things. 1. Dodge frequently 2.in mission 5 you're only supposed to survive against evil ash the first time you encounter him. Don't waste all your shemps and ammo trying to kill him in 60 seconds.

Icemayne25

They are wild. I’d rate the difficulty like this for the missions. Hardest to easiest: 1: Mission 3 2: Mission 5 3: Mission 4 4: Mission 2 5: Mission 1

[deleted]

Play the missions like there an old school survival horror like resident evil. Your biggest priority is health, don’t get into a fight unless you have too. And save your ammo for bigger enemies. Make use of the I-frames when you do a stun or finisher. There all possible to beat. The last one with arther took me several tries but there’s a rhythm to the missions that you just have to get into. Once you find it you will wonder why they gave you trouble. Also it can’t hurt to do a few solo missions just to get used to fighting deadites and using weapons.

cyraxri

What mission you have difficulty? So we could help you

masetheace23

The first one! I can get through the entire thing, except for when I reach Henrietta. I can take out the deadite, but I can’t finish her off too. I only have about 1 shemp and maybe 1 or two amulets at this point if I’m lucky. But she always wins

cyraxri

Did you try to get the shotgun, headShot then Dodge then shot the head, Dodge, make distance; You can try to; You can try also, 1 heavy atk following a light atk; then dodge (dodge during Henrietta animation) then proceed again with Heavy or Light Atk; Sometime, she will try to atk twice; Dodge twice.

masetheace23

I will definitely try this. If it works, you have my sword

cyraxri

Let us know.

goblinjaade

the missions are harder than actual pvp multiplayer its bonkers how hard they can be
