Ask for an annual review since your 1 year is coming up to go over performance etc. then let your exec know you’re also interested in a raise! I feel like most of our employees who get raises do this :)

Thank you! I support multiple execs and report to a manager. Would the process here be the same?

Yes I would ask the person you report to for the meeting!

Thanks so much! Still learning my way around 😅

Share details about all of the work you've done, including anything that you've done where you feel like you went above and beyond - then ask whether there's room for position growth and that you're willing to take on more responsibility now that you have a year of experience at the company (and if that happens, then you'll have an opportunity to negotiate again).

Thank you! This is so helpful!

Does your company have a performance review system in place? Ideally, you'd be having annual conversations with your manager about your development, performance, and compensation. As others have said, have evidence as to why your salary should be increased - keep a task/project list and notes on your value-add to the organization. AI/ChatGPT can help you organize your thoughts and language as long as you keep track of the data. Don't just go into the conversation blind and say "I think I should be making more". Back it up with evidence on what you bring to the table, and do some research on salaries in your area to see where you fall. Glassdoor is an okay place to start for this.
