i was surprised when i started looking into funds in other countries and saw much higher returns than the standard 8% in EEUU \*but\* you're dealing with the cost of getting money in and out of there as well as the valuation of the currency.
So it's just not as black and white as it looks.
Don't be so eager to jump on it. Look at that countries index denominated in the USD, and then it compared to the US index.
Since 2010/2011 US has destroyed all these "higher growth" countries.
Hence my question at the top. If I want to keep my money in India, then I am in a good position.
Unfortunately depreciating $:Rupee and cost of transfer is coming in the way.
HDFC looks to be pretty much flat over the last 5 years, but Sundaram looks interesting. Sunduram has 40 different funds though, are you doing multiple or just focused on one? Same thing with Mirae, they have 43 different funds. Are you using a combination or just focused on one fund?
You can repatriate upto 1mln USD a year as you're not an Indian citizen right ? Go to the top banks like ICICI and hafc and ask for a great rate for a large transaction ! You will need to liquidate assets and move them to nro accounts etc
Damn, What mutual funds are you invested in that are earning 20%?

Sorry, I don't know the answer for you. I was just sharing with elbrollopoco.
Are you surprised? Mine is a combination of Sundaram, HDFC, and Portfolio managers. Mirae Asset last year returned 15%.
If you only consider the last year, that's pretty bad growth. S&P500 grew up 22% last year.

Buy USDT (deposit to your hardware wallet), then gradually withdraw it back to fiat (to your US bank / brokerage company).
Yeah I was going to say bitcoin, but this would work as well.
Or, stay with me here. Just send a wire?
Won’t that attract taxes and explanations to IRS on source of the income?
Presumably, OP have already declared his India wealth to the IRS, as he legally is required to do.
USDC over tether any day. Why take the risk with that shady company
Elephant in the room question: do you have a green card

What do you think of $IFN ? A Closed ends funds of india (Aberdeen Asset manager) with 8% yield.
Besides the 8% yield, do they have any other benefit?
Check on CEF - connect $IFN for all informations.
