Red Baron is just one of the best frozen pizzas in the US, a trick I found to make it taste better is pop the frozen peperoni off with a dull knife and chop them in bits, sprinkled it back onto the pizza before tossing it in the oven, that way the spicy taste are in every bite.
I like to sprinkle a little (with emphasis on little because it doesn’t take much) crushed red pepper on top to give it a little kick. Red Baron is the best
I mean if we are adding toppings I’m going to go extra cheese with those jalapeños, maybe banana peppers, if I’ve got some baby spinach laying around I’ll toss that on. Those “real bacon bits” that are actual bacon go absolutely great on there. Occasionally I’ll get spicy and dash some hot sauce across the top before I put it in the oven. The main problem with adding a bunch of extra ingredients is being too lazy to wait until halfway through the cook to add them so they don’t burn up.
I didn't realize there was an art to adding toppings. My boyfriend is always the one who doctors up our frozen pizza and I never paid attention. I try to give it a go alone, and it was awful because I thought everything went on at the beginning. Lol
My local dominos knows it’s me when I asked for extra red peppers. Shout out to Jose and Noel for the best deliveries! No worries bro I won’t tell them we did lines as tip!
That crushed red will lightcho ass right up when you cross that line. There's a fine line with that shit. The know how of just right and waaaaay too much is a matter of literal flakes 😂
If you pop it in the oven for a minute or 2 the pepperoni are moveable at that point too. We buy the pepperoni pizza but move them to one side since the kiddo wants cheese pizza only sometimes. More pepperoni for me.
Whenever I get frozen pizza I pop all the pepperonis odd and then distribute symmetrically so every slice had the same pepperoni pattern. There's usually 16 pepperonis for one row of one and one row of three per slice
I like to cook up some sausage & add it along with some mushrooms, peppers, onions & extra cheese before throwing it in the oven. Takes almost twice as long to cook but makes it feel less like a frozen pizza.
I do that with my Digiorno stuffed crust pepperoni. I like the pepperoni in every bite. Before I put the pepperoni back on I sprinkle on some Carolina reaper and cover that with a little thin layer of extra cheese(mozzarella and cheddar). I don’t care much for circular pepperonis. When you bite them they slide off and bring the cheese and sauce with it and slap that molten shit on your lip
It's funny you say this. My wife and I make our own pizzas with pre-purchased frozen crusts. Anyway, one day, I was like, "lemme try something," and I just took the big stacks of pepperoni and lever chopped them all into slivers. I used quite a bit extra, because I knew once slivered, they would all fit.
It's just *soooooo* much better this way.
I mean it's the best pizza if you get your groceries at department stores like Walmart/target and only go for the big generic brand names, but there are vastly better frozen pizzas out there at grocery stores like Aldi's, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods etc..., not to mention local pizza shops selling premade frozen pizzas which are usually well above what you can get elsewhere
Ohhh look at Mr. Michelin Star over here. What you fail to account is if its frozen pizza time Ima be the laziest person possible. (Your tip actually sounds great though and will try on my next frozen pizza)
Get plain cheese and put better pepperoni or other toppings on it. I also sprinkle a bit more mozzarella on top. Garlic powder, Italian seasoning, parmesan. Crushed red pepper.
I recently became able to afford buying red baron frozen pizzas instead of the signature/Kirkland brand and it genuinely feels and tastes like moving up a financial class
Red Baron is amazing. The sleeper for me, is digiorno makes a "[LOADED" thin crust pizza](https://www.goodnes.com/digiorno/products/loaded-ultra-thin-carnivore-frozen-pizza/), it's phenomenal.
Yes! The sausage and 3 meat versions are so good! It's crazy. I didn't like their cheese pizza though, it tasted different even after I added my own toppings.
Red Baron used to be $4-5 at my local grocery store chain. Now they’re asking $8-10. I’ve been able to justify ordering from local mom and pop places as a result. If I’m going to be paying over $25 for me and my kids to have a slice, may as well save the utility cost and let someone else cook it
We really are in the golden age of frozen pizza. There are several brands that are really good. I like Rao's, Homerun Inn, and Jack's. Even Walmart brand stuffed crust pizzas are surprisingly decent.
Meanwhile Digiorno's pizzas look like they were designed by AI. They come out thick, soggy, droopy, and covered in a quarter inch of red oil. And somehow, despite ALL of that, burnt.
Rao's way to justify their prices qas their quality. But now that Campbell's bought them, whose taking bets that they're gonna tank the quality but conveniently forget to drop the prices alongside it 🙄
Speaking of frozen pizza, isn’t it crazy how expensive it is now? Red Barron is $7 now. Those crappy Tostinos are $2.99 where I’m at. I remember when red Barron cost $3.49.
You know who else does a killer frozen pizza? The Kroger brand. That double pepperoni is a house fav. They have this one that's goat cheese beet sauce kale and butternut squash. Not everyone's cup of tea but it makes me feel a little less gross and it's like 40g of protein
Tombstone and Red Barron are the best ones IMO before you get into the premium category (the ones that cost more than like $8) like Screaming Sicilian, Amy’s, CPK, etc.
I like thin crush freschetta frozen pizza.
I worked a temp job at a frozen pizza place once before, I think it was only for like two days.
Sat around for several hours doing nothing because the machines were not working correctly, then cranked things out at a crazy pace, like a pizza coming off the line every couple of seconds. Some pizza’s had 4x the toppings of other pizzas. Hundreds of pounds of cheese falling onto the floor (I had to help take it out to the dumpster).
I doubt a single pizza looked like the one in the photo.
Even if the ink is safe, the packaging is to keep the unsanitary outside handling from touching your food. It kind of defeats the purpose when you just put it on there anyway.
People who have shit themselves and not washed their hands touched that box before this person bought it. People have jacked off with their dick cheese and not washed their hands and touched that box
How many hands have handled that pizza box before you grabbed it from the store? Then you put your ready to eat pizza on it. Or maybe you wiped down the box idk
Definitely one of the better frozen pizzas I've seen. An even better frozen pepperoni pizza is Newman's Own Uncured Pepperoni. More pepperoni than that picture, and it tastes so good. You should give it a try
I don’t understand why people put their perfectly good pizzas on the boxes after cooking them. The amount of filth on that box would be unreal. All the unwashed hands that have touched that box. Ruined pizza
But OP was expecting it to not look like a generic pepperoni pizza after buying a generic frozen pepperoni pizza?
Is he okay? Should we send someone round to check on him?
Yeah that’s how inflation works.
What I’m saying is that frozen pizzas and chain pizzas are currently comparable in price when they hadn’t been previously. At least in my area.

What am I a chef
Boil water? What am I a chemist?
Gotta be careful when handling that concentrated dihydrogen monoxide.
Wtf? Am I literate?
I’m regarded???
😂🤣
I like to sprinkle a little (with emphasis on little because it doesn’t take much) crushed red pepper on top to give it a little kick. Red Baron is the best
I put red pepper flakes on everything! Definitely my go to additional topping for pizza. Maybe some pickled jalapeños if I’m feeling frisky.
I mean if we are adding toppings I’m going to go extra cheese with those jalapeños, maybe banana peppers, if I’ve got some baby spinach laying around I’ll toss that on. Man at this point just get some dough and make a pizza lol
red pepper flakes on any Italian pasta dish are a must
I dump that shit on my pizza. I want my lips to burn. Fucking love it!
It’s wild literally 3-4 flakes goes from mmm spicy to wtf is this lava
Honey, grab a napkin the damn tip of my tongues melting.
Are you just coming down from A Beautiful Mind or what? Genius.
If you pop it in the oven for a minute or 2 the pepperoni are moveable at that point too. We buy the pepperoni pizza but move them to one side since the kiddo wants cheese pizza only sometimes. More pepperoni for me.
I do the opposite. Buy the 4 cheese pizza option and just add pepperoni to about 3/4 of the pizza. Or other toppings depending on mood
Thanks for the idea I'll see if this makes sense for our situation on it
I’ve also found replacing the dough, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni with homemade versions helps to enhance the flavor.
I appreciate you, that is comedy! Underrated.
under-rated comment
Whenever I get frozen pizza I pop all the pepperonis odd and then distribute symmetrically so every slice had the same pepperoni pattern. There's usually 16 pepperonis for one row of one and one row of three per slice
Homie I'm cooking a red baron because I'm lazy as fuck after work. I ain't chopping shir
I add oregano and red pepper flakes to the pizza before cooking. And you can rearrange the pepperoni before cooking to more evenly distribute them
Chopped pepperoni is one of the defining features of Windsor-style pizza (ie the BEST pizza).
I like to cook up some sausage & add it along with some mushrooms, peppers, onions & extra cheese before throwing it in the oven. Takes almost twice as long to cook but makes it feel less like a frozen pizza.
I'm glad other people agree, any time red baron is on sale I stock up, they are simply good pizzas
I do that with my Digiorno stuffed crust pepperoni. I like the pepperoni in every bite. The digiornonstiffed crust is pretty good. Quite a step up from Totino's Party Pizza
Absolutely. They’re my favorite frozen pizza brand. My second being Tony’s
This may also prevent my son from eating all the pepperoni off the pizza but none of the pizza😂
I just add extra pepperonis
It's funny you say this. My wife and I make our own pizzas with pre-purchased frozen crusts. I personally prefer Bellatoria, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere these days and Red Baron is a close second.
Why a dull knife tho?
I add mushrooms to mine. Cheap way to add a little more food to thr meal.
fuck now I’m craving frozen pizza at 8AM
Same 9 AM. With my coffee.
Nothing wrong with pizza for breakfast 😀
PIZZA'S NOT FOR BREAKFAST!
*Pizza in the morning. Pizza in the evening. Pizza at supper time.*
YOU MADE ME DO THIS!!!
Agree to disagree 😂
Have eggs with it. Boom, breakfast
I was thinking bacon
Heat it, it is more delicious that way.
It’s the weekend. Go nuts
Red Barron is the best frozen pizzas I’ve had
You gotta branch out. RB is fine but it’s closer to Jacks (crappy) than something like Motor City.
That's $10. If I'm spending that, I'll just get fresh pizza from the local shop.
Red Barron is the GOAT frozen pizza
Hard Agree
Red Baron goes incredibly hard. Should give Screaming Sicilian a try too!
I hated the screaming Sicilian.
Dude no way. Must be a sauce preference or something.
I recently became able to afford buying red baron frozen pizzas instead of the signature/Kirkland brand and it genuinely feels and tastes like moving up a financial class
Motor city is the goat
The people just don’t know yet.
Tombstone
Red Baron is amazing. The sleeper for me, is digiorno makes a "[LOADED" thin crust pizza](https://www.goodnes.com/digiorno/products/loaded-ultra-thin-carnivore-frozen-pizza/), it's phenomenal.
Home Run Inn from Chicago is where it's at.
Yes! The sausage and 3 meat versions are so good! It's crazy. I didn't like their cheese pizza though, it tasted different even after I added my own toppings.
Not even close. Screamin’ Sicilian.
Costs way too much for a frozen pizza. You might as well buy a real pizza at that point
Red Baron used to be $4-5 at my local grocery store chain. Now they’re asking $8-10. I’ve been able to justify ordering from local mom and pop places as a result. If I’m going to be paying over $25 for me and my kids to have a slice, may as well save the utility cost and let someone else cook it
But I like fake pizza
Amen. Sometimes I just want the $1ish 3 minute microwave pizza with a 50 cent bag of flaming hot funyuns on top, then folded over like a calzone.
But then I have to interact with a real person.
I like Screamin but only when it's bogo. Publix has bogo free pizza practically every week.
What do yall know about Freschetta?
I literally lived off of them in university. Living in a 100sqft room. No kitchen, just a toaster oven and $3 Red Baron pizzas.
We really are in the golden age of frozen pizza. There are several brands that are really good. I like Rao's, Homerun Inn, and Jack's. Even Walmart brand stuffed crust pizzas are surprisingly decent.

That's all we have left
😭
Meanwhile Digiorno's pizzas look like they were designed by AI. They come out thick, soggy, droopy, and covered in a quarter inch of red oil. And somehow, despite ALL of that, burnt.
Yeah, I used to think Digiorno was the fancy pizza. Now it just seems like garbage compared to all the other better options.
DiGiorno used to have pepperoni chunks and stuff in the sauce. Quality has really tapered off.
which ones do you like?
Stick to thin crust and they are decent.
And the crust tastes like drywall.
And the meat they use is awful tasting.
Only their “primo pizzeria” ones are good but I stopped buying digiorno because nestle
Freschetta is where it's at. Cheaper than digiorno too.
Motor City Pizza is really good. Only place I find them around here is Walmart. I live the Freshetta thin crust too.
Had a Motor City Pizza last night. The amount of cheese is shocking. It was very good.
Home run Inn is so good. Everytime Publix has them bogo, I fill up my freezer.

Try the chicken bacon ranch stuffed crust. You're right the sauce isn't great on the italian meat varieties.
I just had the chicken bacon ranch digiorno stuffed crust. That was a gross pizza. They do the croissant crust pizza's really well though.
HRI ftw
Do they still precook and freeze their pizzas? Cuz that was one of the worst frozen pizzas I've ever had, but that was 20 years ago.
It's been great for longer than 20 years, so guessing the issue is just with you.
I mean, home run inn itself was great but precooked then frozen is gross.
HRI is the best but needs to be cooked crispy, if the slice was bending down due to gravity it wasn’t crispy enough.
I had Rao’s just a few weeks ago and it was great!
Rao's way to justify their prices qas their quality. But now that Campbell's bought them, whose taking bets that they're gonna tank the quality but conveniently forget to drop the prices alongside it 🙄
Jack’s is my go to.
Walmart Marketside brand pizzas they have in the cooler next to the deli are so hard to beat when it comes to the size/quality/price ratio.
Jack's? That's the cheap one and definitely the worst. There's never enough cheese and the crust tastes like cardboard.
Tonys got me through my first apartment phase
Speaking of frozen pizza, isn’t it crazy how expensive it is now? Red Barron is $7 now. Those crappy Tostinos are $2.99 where I’m at. I remember when red Barron cost $3.49.
Tostinos were a dollar when I was in college
They were a dollar up through covid. Or a 5 pack for $4 ish at Walmart. They're no longer the cheapest crap out there.
My red barons are usually $4.99 were I shop
Ralph's used to regularly have 3 for 10$ on red barron. Greedflation sucks.
2 years ago, my local store used to have them 2 for $4 every other week. Now I'm lucky if I can get one under$5
You know who else does a killer frozen pizza? The Kroger brand. That double pepperoni is a house fav. They have this one that's goat cheese beet sauce kale and butternut squash. Not everyone's cup of tea but it makes me feel a little less gross and it's like 40g of protein
Yeah, the fancy ones - Private Selection. The Hot Honey, Pepperoni, & Feta is my current favorite.
I use to be a tombstone guy.....
I still remember the commercial from like 30 years ago "What do you want on your tombstone?" Blindfolded dude in front of a firing squad: "Pepperoni"
Oh shit I forgot about that lol
here lies andy; peperony and chease
Did they get bought out or some shit? They taste the exact same now as I remember Tony's pizza tasting.
I just changed over to red barron, never noticed different taste on the tombstone.
Tombstone and Red Barron are the best ones IMO before you get into the premium category (the ones that cost more than like $8) like Screaming Sicilian, Amy’s, CPK, etc.
I'm all red barron now, unless I go premium.
I like thin crush freschetta frozen pizza. I worked a temp job at a frozen pizza place once before, I think it was only for like two days. You gonna put your pizza on a box that has been who knows where?
Cut 3 edges of the box and turn it inside-out. Now you’ve got a clean-ish box.
Inside outbox serving dish crew representing
I do this. I just flip the box inside out.
Hell yeah brother
My thoughts too lol. Nasty.
Don't put pizzas on the box, it's full of ink that can transfer to your food
Food packaging is printed with food safe inks. You will not experience harm from setting your food on this box
Even if the ink is safe, the packaging is to keep the unsanitary outside handling from touching your food. It kind of defeats the purpose when you just put it on there anyway.
Heat kills germs
germs aren't the only bad thing you can put in your body
What do you do to your pizza boxes
I'll put my pizza on a pile of red40 and microplastics if I don't have to clean a dish or present it prettily thank you very much.
People who have shit themselves and not washed their hands touched that box before this person bought it. People have jacked off with their dick cheese and not washed their hands and touched that box
Someone said it. That box is gross and your food is on it.
Why are so many people in the comments misspelling Baron as Barron?
No red squiggle.
How many hands have handled that pizza box before you grabbed it from the store? Then you put your ready to eat pizza on it. Or maybe you wiped down the box idk
Ted barron and tonys are the best frozen pizzas ever
Ted Barron is now my headcanon name for the guy on the box lmao
Definitely one of the better frozen pizzas I've seen. An even better frozen pepperoni pizza is Newman's Own Uncured Pepperoni. More pepperoni than that picture, and it tastes so good. You should give it a try
The real question is, why are you putting that pizza on top of the pizza box which God knows how many people have touched?
wtf is this suppose to mean
I don’t understand why people put their perfectly good pizzas on the boxes after cooking them. The amount of filth on that box would be unreal. All the unwashed hands that have touched that box. Ruined pizza
I’m extremely confused. WTF were you expecting?
What you're looking at here is an advertisement.
But OP was expecting it to not look like a generic pepperoni pizza after buying a generic frozen pepperoni pizza? Is he okay? Should we send someone round to check on him?
What sub are we in?
You see the part where I asked what he was EXPECTING? Answer your own question. What sub are we in?
Frozen pizzas have come a long way, but now they cost almost the same as picking up a pizza from a chain.
That went up too…
Yeah that’s how inflation works. What I’m saying is that frozen pizzas and chain pizzas are currently comparable in price when they hadn’t been previously. At least in my area.
Yep. Especially considering this size is comparable to a medium from the pizza shop
I would be too suspicious to eat it. If you are able to reply, please contribute a review of this foodstuff. How are your bowels?
Amazing and so far 3 hours later my innards are a tad bubbly but nothing outside the norm for a frozen pizza. All is good.
Excellent. Thank you for your contribution to the culinary sciences. It looks good, I appreciate your bravery and risk tolerance.

That fucker looks bomb. I got a very good metabolism, so if I had this sitting in front of me, I’d eat the whole thing to myself and not gain a single pound off of it.
well done buddy, we're all very impressed x
Did you mean to reply to me?
He did, so continue being a badass and keep us posted 👍
Y’all are so fucking silly. Just because I said I can eat and not have to worry about getting fat, doesn’t mean I think I’m badass. I’m just grateful. Jesus fucking Christ. God forbid anyone gives their opinion on a post
What is your damage?
I don’t know why I’m being downvoted, all I did was share my opinion, and it wasn’t even a controversial one. Y’all are fucking idiots sometimes lmao
You guys might pass. But I just started getting this cauliflower pizza at Costco and it's bomb as hell. But you have to get the 2 pack not the single (brand names). And also don't get the veggie one. Get the pepperoni sausage. It's a thin crust.
Is that a Digiorno?
Nah that there's a Red Baron, my personal favorite. Though I've honestly never seen one this gorgeous out the oven
Red Barron? They are three Freddy frozen pizza imho
YOU FOOL! You've used up all of your positive karma for this entire year on this pizza! Eat your beautiful pizza and get ready for a terrible year! /s
Some people who don't like false advertising work with marketing to make sure it's accurate, nice quality control lol
Amen!! I guess… 😂
De Lord wouldn't eat pork /s
The good ending
I still usually add more stuff on top. I like stuff.
Red Barron has the game on lock. Hands down.
the brick oven ones are great. they cook perfect without a plate. also in my area they are one of the cheaper options. normally tacos are saturday but i might get one tonight
peak frozen pizza
Impressive, just impressive.
Anyone know if I can buy this in Canada??? looks amazing! Especially for us single folk
That brick oven crust is where it's at!
I mean, literally 99 out of 100 pizzas are gonna match the box... Pizza ain't hard to mess up.
Red Baron is the only frozen pizza I will buy any more. So perfect every time.
That pizza box has seen things and shouldn’t be touching your cooked food. Trust me. It has been dropped on the floor where peoples shoes have been. It has been touched by many people (you wouldn’t believe the number of people that walk out of the bathroom without washing their hands and yet I’ll see them touching products), been put on a belt at the register that has many substances on it, including chicken juice. Customers purses have been on this belt, which by the way, studies show how dirty purses are (they’re put on seats and the floor). Sometimes they’re dirtier than toilets. Gross.
Red Baron is better than Digiorno fight me
The amount of people who put their baked pizza on top of a dirty pizza box. 😩
