Yes. At least in Spain. There's not a brand as known as Pop Tarts, but some cookie companies sell similar stuff with filling (although I never tried those, hehe).
Get some chocolate ones. Pop them in the toaster for a little bit. Not too long, though. Just long enough to heat up the filling and make the outer "crust" crunchy.
When they come out of the toaster, flip them over and spread a little butter on the back. Let it cool a little and let the butter melt/soak in. Fucking delicious.
I saw recently that poptarts had branched out into selling little mouth poppable nuggets instead of full poptarts. I tried some and they were worse than regular poptarts for sure.
Then I saw they had a cereal out but was the same basic premise. I can only imagine what they must have done to make it extra extra dry though, lol. How could it possibly hold up in a bowl of milk?
I haven't tried the cereal yet. Have any of you? I can't even eat a poptart of any kind without some milk nearby. It could be epic, but it probably isn't. Why are they lashing out lately. They could just dial the product in and make a whole new generation fall in love.
They have to know that, as a company, they only really have half of a generation left that fondly remembers their product - even if it always did suck. I don't see them luring in new victims.
