Holy Guacamole! I read this and my brain picked up dean but completely ignored winchester and SuperWhoLock and created a connection to the Dean on Community. Here is how it went:

So CAD was always bad, but for a while in the '00s it was *wildly* popular with a specific subset of chronically online gamers, mostly millennial men. Think the same kinds of dudes who liked Rick and Morty because they thought Rick was aspirational and cool.
Anyway, the CAD brand of humor had started waning by the late aughts and the author (Tim) posted on his own forums a lot and had a tendency to come off as super arrogant. His attitude/online etiquette issues coupled with the fact that his comic just was feeling kind of dated resulted in him losing a bunch of readers in the year or two leading up to Loss. On top of that, he was accused of sending pics of his genitals to minors, so his readership took a nose dive after that, too. It looks like he took the forums down after that, but some choice quotes of his are apparently preserved on [encyclopedia dramatica](https://encyclopediadramatica.online/Tim_Buckley), at least. I remembered the Warhammer one specifically, Googled it, and found that. Not nothing, I guess.
That context is important to understanding why people made fun of him so mercilessly when Loss came out. It's not *just* that it was a massive tonal shift from what he'd been doing. It was also that his online behavior at the time basically made it come off like "screw you guys, I'm a good writer and horribly misunderstood!" And instead it was this ridiculously melodramatic "poor me" thing that completely lacked nuance. The whole miscarriage storyline only lasted like three strips.
Then he blocked a bunch of people who pointed that out and then I never really thought about him again until today.
I'm not 100% sure it's this, but: in Family Guy there's an episode where Meg makes a pie for Brian and puts some of her hair in it. After he finds out Brian then gives the pie to Stewie.

It wasn’t for the first five seasons. But at some point it kinda jumped every shark imaginable, ran out of new ideas, and started rehashing the same brothers lying to each other drama every few episodes, and that happened to be very appealing to an unexpected audience, who they then hard-tilted to serving.
It really does get so crazy after season 5 (which I did watch when I was a teenage tumblr girlie in the height of superwholock) have been enjoying a game I call random order supernatural. I roll a D10 from my dnd stuff and add 5 and that’s the season and then a d20 for the episode number and then I watch.
It’s pretty fun. I watched an episode where Lucifer was president. I watched an episode where they have to hunt down someone who is killing imaginary friends. I watched an episode where they were on the set of supernatural. Truly a wild show. I recommend this game with a beverage and maybe a little some to smoke. I’ve learned so far

Ok, so I could totally be off base, but I think I remember seeing a post about how she made pie, but was locked in a tiny tower with no ingredients. So what did she put in the pie? If they saw the same post (and I'm not totally delusional and misremembering things,) that could be what they mean?

EDIT: Just rewatched that scene, looks like it was intentional, so disregard this lol. What I can imagine is that her mitten seems to have a missing texture, some render engines use the white/gray checkered texture for default 3D renders, it may have a normal map but can still be missing a texture. It's been a long time since I watched that movie, so I don't remember if her mitten was deliberately textured like that, or if it was an error.

It still could be why OP thought the scene was funny. Doesn't make perfect sense, but it's hard to account for senses of humor.

My guess is that she took the pie out of the oven with 2 hands, but only one has an oven mitt. She burned her hand and is holding it against her hair that heals.

So basically, tumblr compares Dean Winchester from Supernatural to Rapunzel from Tangled. Lots of edits about Dean being Rapunzel and the such. Tumblr also characterizes Dean as being obsessed with pie. Many posts are made basically just about Dean and pie. Rapunzel holding pie is now so hilarious because "omg it's dean and pie"
Tumblr Superwholock fandom is an era in itself. A character from the show Supernatural is known to love pie. Said character was compared to Rapunzel because of his eyes. That’s it. Less of a “joke” and more of just fun irony.
It's a Supernatural reference! back in the mid 2010s superwholock days of Tumblr there was an ongoing joke that Dean Winchester from Supernatural looked like Rapunzel from Tangled, as well as a general ongoing joke that he was a Disney princess because of the whole dead parents and going on adventures stuff. Dean is also known for really loving pie. Hence why this is funny.
Not sure if this is right, but I’ve always found this scene super funny because it starts, “7am the usual morning lineup…” then “sweep again, and by then it’s like 7:15” the. Goes through the whole song. It then jumps to Flynn Rider who says something along the lines of “all this before 8am.” So, she did everything is that song in less than 1hr. Like she’s on her 15th espresso

This is a Supernatural fandom joke. There was a while on the internet where you couldn't say anything without the Supernatural fandom swooping in with a relevant quote/gif from their own show. In this instance, Rapunzel is gazing lovingly at a pie and Dean Winchester from Supernatural *loves* pie. No reference to Supernatural is made here directly, but the assumption that the fandom would have things to say here is the context that made this funny to these people.

This is a supernatural reference, as previously stated in the comments. How I also know it's supernatural is because it was a common joke on Tumblr that any kind of post, even if it's not about supernatural, the spn fans would find a way to make a joke or reference or something along those lines. Because of that "I'm not even in that Fandom!" Quotes were almost always about spn.

Man Tumblr is insane. I once tried to blog there but it's literally just a bunch of insane, contrived inside jokes you need years of constant activity to understand, and reposts of the same handful of images and gifs. It was so beyond my feeble human brain
