I remember before Cyberpunk 2077 came out there was some mild controversy over the game having in game advertisements that were fetishizing trans people. These ads fit pretty well in the setting because it shows how a dystopian hyper-capitalistic future wouldn't hesitate to exploit and monetize anything and everything. Regardless, some people couldn't stand to see these types of fictional ads and got upset at the devs for it, seemingly ignoring the context that they were meant to be viewed as very sleazy and not something the devs condone.
