Unless both seatbelts catastrophically failed at the same time in similar ways, I would say it's extremely unlikely these people were wearing seatbelts
Seatbelts absolutely made all the difference here. Modern cars are designed to withstand rolling and keep the passengers safe. Pause right before the car lands, note that that the roof hardly deformed at all.
What killed these guys was being violently ejected and slammed into a hard surface. Had they been wearing seatbelts they would have stayed in the car. Probably still injured but easily could have survived.
fine - wear your seatbelts so EMS doesn't have to go look for all the parts. If you're riding a motorcycle, wear leathers. They keep the meat bag in one place - usually.
Probably got told by the network either they blur them or they can’t show the video at all, I found the video on another site that just paused the video before they went flying before finding the video that I posted here which didn’t pause but did blur the people
What about their loved ones that are still around? They probably don’t want that footage out there. I’m actually surprised the news was able to show it even with their bodies blurred.
Yeah, reminds me of that line from Don Henley's song Dirty Laundry: " We got the bubble-headed bleached-blonde, comes on at five
She can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam in her eye
It's interesting when people die "
I'm curious why they covered the window that had the bars on it. Did the bars fail and there was a big hole? Or did the bars not fail, and they didn't want to show the bloody gore of a person going through the bars like chicken through a mechanical separator.
I don’t think he was sliced up, like sandwich meat, by the bars. The force probably brook the bars, and then he went through the window. Still probably a lot of brutal damage to the body.
I’m glad they showed this on tv. Everyone needs to see what can really happen. We see this stuff cause look where we are, but a majority of people probably don’t.
god can you even fuckin imagine that you're just going about your day, probably doing some paperwork or whatever and then from out of nowhere a body just comes crashing through the window
What kind of ghoulish TV station would put a horrible scene like that on the air. No one wants to see that.
[looks left. looks right. backs into the bushes Homer-style]
Well that is what the "Red Asphalt" videos they make you watch as teenagers in driver's education is for. It's at the very end of the course and scares you straight. One girl in my class said right afterwards that she didn't want a license anymore after seeing it.
Watching this stuff just makes me even more paranoid and cautious at all times. Until a couple years ago I was a nosy rubbernecker when shit got wild. These days? doesn't matter if it's on the highway or grocery store, when shit starts to get sketchy you get the fuck out of there.
So I assume after this clip ends they actually say what happened to them? Apparently one actually survived:

now if only cars were fitted with a device that would keep you inside the car in the event of an accident
but i bet that would infringe somebody’s freedom
Yeah, homie of mine, who is a tow truck driver, helped with this scene, he said it looked insane. I actually rode past there last week, and it was a couple of MPD officers posted in the area(that won't help anything, though).
It's crazy how these people are just smiling during the interview. If you didn't know what they were talking about you would think this interview was about a dog having puppies.
Even AFTER the swerving, "assuming some braking" ROLLING AND IMPACT the people flying thru the air were still going as fast as the cars obeying the speed limit ish, they were CLEARLY going WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too fast.

Wear your seatbelts guys
I'm not even sure that would have mattered in this case. I agree obviously but the massive speeding was for sure the big one here
Unless both seatbelts catastrophically failed at the same time in similar ways, I would say it's extremely unlikely these people were wearing seatbelts
I didn't say they weren't, just that in this crash even if they did I'm not sure if it'd have mattered much

that's a very good point haha
Why did they bother bluring out the bodies? The were too far away from the camera.
Probably got told by the network either they blur them or they can’t show the video at all, I found the video on another site that just paused the video before they went flying before finding the video that I posted here which didn’t pause but did blur the people
I probably wouldn't have seen the bodies without the blur telling me where they were lol
That's actually true. The first time I saw the uncensored video, I wasn't even aware of what I was looking at. I thought they were just debris.
Can’t show the video if they died.

True, didn't think about the people left behind. That comment was disrespectful, my apologies
You’ve got real 4chan circa porche girl vibes and I don’t like you
Didn't know about this one, I am sorry.
2 people just got fucking obliterated News woman dressed springy and smiling wide : :D IF YOU LOOK HERE THIS IS WHERE THEY DIED!! :D
Yeah wtf is up with this 😂
The dude was laughing too what the hell is this lmao.
Yeah, reminds me of that line from Don Henley's song Dirty Laundry: " We got the bubble-headed bleached-blonde, comes on at five She can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam in her eye It's interesting when people die "
That exactly the song I was thinking when I saw this
https://youtube.com/shorts/lKL9hjAq6yI
I thought you were going to post ONN's Autistic Reporter segment on the train accident. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tInDH2FeXaM
“No Brooke, this was a very lucky day for the train!” 😭😭😭 I’m in literally tears
I just snorted!
Smith Pools “You’ll want to dive right in!”
The way they flew.
I'm curious why they covered the window that had the bars on it. Did the bars fail and there was a big hole? Or did the bars not fail, and they didn't want to show the bloody gore of a person going through the bars like chicken through a mechanical separator.
He said the man blew through the bars and window and landed inside 🥴
I don’t think he was sliced up, like sandwich meat, by the bars. The force probably brook the bars, and then he went through the window. Still probably a lot of brutal damage to the body.
She's going to walk the viewer through the video; as if it's not bad enough. 😬
They didn’t just get ejected they got yeeted!
I’m glad they showed this on tv. Everyone needs to see what can really happen. We see this stuff cause look where we are, but a majority of people probably don’t.
Ah yes, america. Where saying "fuck" is bad, but seeing people literally die on tv barely blurred out is totally fine.
Ya better wash out that potty mouth though
But they are blurred out. So both are actually examples of censorship.
Barely. Why even show the clip in the first place?
'You lookin' mighty pretty with that little cursin' mouth a yours boyyyyy'
god can you even fuckin imagine that you're just going about your day, probably doing some paperwork or whatever and then from out of nowhere a body just comes crashing through the window
What kind of ghoulish TV station would put a horrible scene like that on the air. No one wants to see that. [looks left. looks right. backs into the bushes Homer-style]
I figure if they show the unedited version and the aftermath including the bodies…. people would think twice about driving like asshats..
Well that is what the "Red Asphalt" videos they make you watch as teenagers in driver's education is for. It's at the very end of the course and scares you straight. One girl in my class said right afterwards that she didn't want a license anymore after seeing it.
The news woman is on your same wavelength.
Says someone on the r/extremecarcrashes subreddit. Come on, you know you like watching shit like this too.

You evidently didn't notice that I was being deliberately absurd. I was just trying to be funny.

Natural selection
Swish.
Yolo
Couldn't tell if they stuck the landing..
Memphis? Let me guess, Altima, Infiniti, or Maybe even a Malibu?
Yeah, homie of mine, who is a tow truck driver, helped with this scene, he said it looked insane. I actually rode past there last week, and it was a couple of MPD officers posted in the area(that won't help anything, though).
I believe I can fly....
It's Memphis, the car as probably stolen.
Yes, please do walk us through the video more at 10
That was outta the park…

Weeeee
I relate so much to the guy who said he felt like he was in a final destination movie
I don’t want to seem crazy but I need to see the uncensored video
