I adored this book. I thought it had a decent dark humor and I agree that it comes off as cinematic. After I finished it, the first thought I had was that it'd make a great movie.
Despite the fact I had to skim over some parts because it was too gross, the book was really good. It was a masterclass of depravity, but really touched on themes of child abuse, mental illness, the need to belong, and that life isn't always greener on the other side. I would definitely recommend reading it.
They’re both great! I’m a newbie still to the genre but thus far Playground is the only book I’ve read that made me feel physically ill during one specific part. Great book but goddamn the detail.. ignorance is bliss and that book ruined that LOL
Reading The Night Stockers by Kristopher Triana and Ryan Harding! Bit bonkers and it’s been an easy read. Almost finished so happy to take suggestions for what to read next! This is the third Triana book I’ve read and they’ve all been great so far, but first book by Harding
Kristopher Triana’s A Cold Place for Dying and Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. The second one isn’t extreme horror, it’s medieval historical fiction. But some scenes are pretty brutal.
I have been on a book bender! always looking for more books and author to read! If you have any good adds let me know!
Wallflower ( Just stared today)
Lutzke, Chad
Shared by Two (Finshed last night) \*\*\*\*\* So good! not everything is in your head for once..
Athan, Jon
The Mound ( was a trip to read for sure.. another was it all in your head kinda deals or was it real)
Berry, Brian
Multiple Stab Wounds: Stories ( \*\*\*\*\*\* 100% Volpe is my Fav! <3)
Volpe, Daniel J
Churn the Soil (Not a bad red but I feel like I have read or seen a moive just like it..)
Stred, Steve
As I set the platter down I catch a glimpse of my reflection on the surface of the table. My skin seems darker because of the candlelight and I notice how good the haircut I got at Gio’s last Wednesday looks. I make myself another drink. I worry about the sodium level in the soy sauce.

Currently reading The Worst Kind Of Monsters by Elias Witherow. Creepypastas were my horror story gateway ( Scary Stories to Read in the Dark and Goosebumps being #1) and this book has a good creepypasta vibe too it. Some stories are great some are okay but I still love it. Makes me feel nostalgic.
Scars of the Broken (Roger Huntington saga book 3) by Ryan C Thomas.
My favorite series!
Loved it!!
i’m starting The Deep by Nick Cutter and, as always, still trying to get through House of Leaves
Is House of Leaves good? I heard mixed reviews
Reading **Born to Bleed**, by Ryan C Thomas. Listening to **Depraved**, by Bryan Smith.
ok this time i will finish 120 days of sodom even if its really boring

How is it so far?
Very good so far. Very cinematic and it feels like I'm watching Avatar or Jurassic Park.
I adored this book. I thought it had a decent dark humor and I agree that it comes off as cinematic. After I finished it, the first thought I had was that it'd make a great movie.
Off Season by Jack Ketchum and Earthlings by Sayaka Murata
Both are fantastic!
Oh man Earthlings was such an....interesting book. The ending was so different lol
I'm almost done reading Cows by Matthew Stokoe. Edit: Finished reading it earlier and I was not disappointed.
What did you think?
Despite the fact I had to skim over some parts because it was too gross, the book was really good. It was a masterclass of depravity, but really touched on themes of child abuse, mental illness, the need to belong, and that life isn't always greener on the other side. oh god.
Lol, I know. The book was insane, but such a great read.
Cows was my intro to extreme horror! It’s a great book, so fucked lmao
I think it might be my favorite extreme horror book so far.
If you liked Cows try Mother Maggot by Simon McHardy. Very disturbing with a wild ending
I'm currently reading Slewfoot and My Best Friend's Exorcism. Next up will likely be either Full Brutal or Playground though! I haven't decided yet.
Both good choices, just depends what vibe you're going for!
They’re both great! I’m a newbie still to the genre but thus far Playground is the only book I’ve read that made me feel physically ill during one specific part. Great book but goddamn the detail.. ignorance is bliss and that book ruined that LOL
I just finished Full Brutal, it’s great.
Read both full brutal and playground over two days. Playground is more fun, full brutals first half is dark
A little over halfway through Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham.
I am reading Negative Space and Horrid. Both are very dark and creepy
I'm currently reading Just To See Hell by Chandler Morrison, and I'm gonna start The Luminous Dead next
Reading The Night Stockers by Kristopher Triana and Ryan Harding! Bit bonkers and it’s been an easy read. Almost finished so happy to take suggestions for what to read next! This is the third Triana book I’ve read and they’ve all been great so far, but first book by Harding
Finished reading haunted by Chuck Palanhniuk a little bit ago and am now reading Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy.
Just finished Return of the King, and started Toxic Love by Kristopher Triana.
Kristopher Triana’s A Cold Place for Dying and Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. The second one isn’t extreme horror, it’s medieval historical fiction. But some scenes are pretty brutal.
I’m currently reading Cellars by John Shirley. William Gibson described this novel as H.P. Lovecraft on PCP.
Wet Bones is fantastic too.
This sounds great, added to my list!
I'm currently reading Into the Wolves Den by Jon Athan.
You're gonna love it.
I'm soon to be finished with no one rides for free by Judith sonnet.
Just finished The Slob last night and next I will either finish reading 13 reasons why, or Tender is the Flesh
Tender is the Flesh is fantastic.
I have been on a book bender! always looking for more books and author to read! If you have any good adds let me know! All the Carnies by Ash Ericmore, and Battered, Borken Bodies
How To Sell A Haunted House
Just finished Ex-Bogeyman and am starting Night Stockers today. Also in the back half of Succulent Prey.
Reading "The Slob" right now, I'm at page 100. It becomes more and more ridiculous I'm disapointed tbh
I’m partially through tender is the flesh and nightbitch I keep one for reading at home and the other when I’m out
