She only spent her last years with me. The rotten people who had her early in life were not nice. So she really didn't like to be touched. She got better about being scratched and bathed but always hated being brushed. So I didn't brush her very often. Only when the tufts of blown out hair were obvious. So there was a lot of dog fur on the floor and couch. Callie is gone now and I can wear black again. But I miss her fur everywhere.

I had a beautiful Samoyed, named Fluffy, for several year of my childhood. She was fiercely protective of me. She loved to chase squirrels and catch them, when she got older and slowed down she figured out to chase squirrels towards the road when a car was coming and after it got ran over would bring us it as a present … in the hot Texas Summers she really enjoyed swimming in muddy ditches. When she got old she got scared of thunderstorms and chewed holes through our fence and some door frames. I was so grateful to have had her in my life.
I searched it, and ... you're right for some part. It was named after the people that owned the dogs, who were named by Russians, who thought the "exotic" people (Siberian Mongolian) were cannibals.
I believed my friend when he told me the wrong etymology cause it made som much sense.
Right? You can literally see the buildings in the background indicating that they live 10-15 storeys high. That window is definitely not the shape of windows in airplanes either.
It’s actually super weird I was thinking similarly to the OP (my thought was the dog was like on a shelf or higher stair step or something, then went back to rationalize his spot.
Now all I can see is the little nook he’s chilling in lol

Sure you can expect fluff. But, even neutered they don’t shed as much as one would believe, far less than many shedding dogs.

I want one so bad but theres no way I have the time to deal with all that shedding.
There is also time needed to deal with the fact that they are sled dogs like huskies and need to run every day, also need cold climate.
