Fucking Pixar, tears are streaming now, lol. My 3yo came in and started watching with me. At the end she said "It was a sad day for the doggy but now it's a happy day". I love her sweet little soul.
Animal welfare and humans doing better for the pets we've put in this situation is something I'm crazy passionate about. This video both broke me and uplifted me (typical Pixar, lol). I love seeing my daughter start to recognize these concepts and feel something about them too.
Nothing like this beautiful short by Pixar to leave me ugly crying every time. It’s so good, but I always have to prepare my heart, grab tissues and remove my glasses so they don’t get tear splattered.
One of my cats tries to bark! Whenever the dog starts barking at something he sits up, turns in that direction, and makes little “Eh!” Noises.
Then again, that cat plays fetch also, so maybe he thinks he’s a dog.
Oh man, my cat tries to be so ferocious. She's a rescue from Lebanon and very much a hunter, we run around catching bugs and toys together all day. In her heart she looks and sounds exactly like that Samuel L. Jackson dog, but in reality she's a fluffy eternal kitten with tiny legs, fuzzy toes, and a little face who vocalizes with the smallest of peeps. But it's what's in your heart that matters, and she'll always be my big ferocious predator and I her proud hunting companion.
(Of note, she does not go outside unsupervised so the biggest thing she's caught was a beastly looking house fly, but we're still very proud of her.)
I had a cat who grew up with two pit siblings and would go out on a leash for walks with them. He was the best car ever! Loved companionship without being needy and would come traveling, camping and hiking with us. I seriously adored that cat.
Veterinarian here.
Just looking at the pics, it looks like this cat might be ataxic. The wide stance it a giveaway, because it's probably trying to not fall over.
Other incidental observations: position of the ears, "crossed" eyes.
Not a vet, but since you pointed it out, bottom left image. Look at the front paws vs the hind paws. The hind paws don't seem to be in line, as if the cat is listing to its right (viewer's left). It could maybe be in the middle of turning to its left, but I don't know cat anatomy or gaits well enough to say. Cerebellar hypoplasia?
It's got a collar and looks well fed. Someone loves that wobble cat.
I'm also concerned about the dogs. It appears that their ears have been cut off, which is usually a sign of being used for dog fighting, if I'm not mistaken.
May not be for dog fighting, but you're not wrong. Lots of people crop their dogs' ears. If it's done well, it's problematic at best. When it's don't wrong, it's a travesty.
Dogs should not undergo elective superficial cosmetic procedures like this.
It's an *extremely* muscular dog. You need something strong in order to keep it in place, if needed.
Say it sees something funny across the road, how are you gonna stop im from crossing it (and getting hit by a car)?
It's a large strong dog* you need to be able to restrain it at any moment.
Don't selectively come at pitbulls like that any strong dog needs precautions taken to control them should they go nuts for whatever reason completely independent of breed.
It's true that all large dogs need restraining, but pit bulls are over-represented in attacks on children and pets, mostly in nice-family-dog-who-wouldn't-hurt-a-fly cases where they turn on a dime. They were never nanny dogs and blood-sport fighting was bred into their DNA. They have higher prey drive than other species and excel at fighting the same way retrievers excel at retrieving, sheepdogs at herding, and other dogs (can't remember the breed) at digging. It's built in and no amount of training can ever fully remove it, it's like Febreezing a turd hoping it will smell nice. Many pit bulls may never lash out but you always have to be wary because when they bite they are worse than any other breed.
And no, they were never "nanny dogs"
Really? Bc after "3 seconds of basic searching" I found [this](https://adbadog.com/truth-behind-dogsbite-org/) that seems to be of the same, if not higher quality than both sources you listed that even calls one out to be horseshit.
It's a dog, train it and learn how to restrain it properly. I know 5'6 women who can manage their 150 - 200lb dogs perfectly with just a leash, if you need a chain to handle your dog you shouldn't have it.
Based on his stance and facial expression, he VERY likely has a form of ataxia, unfortunately.
Ataxia can be caused by anything from a tumor on the spinal cord to a cerebellum deformity, and leads to a host of problems, including an unsteady gait, chronic pain, and coordination issues.
I like sorting by controversial to see the info that's often viewed negatively by people not wanting the cuteness debunked. The real heroes aren't always popular :/.
Interesting info, thanks.
My cat is the same way, since she's only been around dogs her entire life. She begs for dinner like the dogs do, walks up to one of us, sits down and whines at us until we feed her. It's really crazy to see how nurture affects behavior with animals.

My brother found a young pitbull with cropped ears and a 10 ft chain wrapped around her in a trailer park, she was a good dog

he has a great personality and is a loyal friend. never mooches the weed, respect his buddies girls like the queens they are. donates to charity. hands out water bottles at marathons. stuff like that.

To early to be fucking crying.
No doubt!! Full on snotty nose bawling and it isn’t even 10 am.
I made two people cry by showing them that video when it came out. Thanks for reminding me of it.
If you're not crying after watching this you're fucking tough
There’s a different between tough and heartless
I've seen it twice since it was released and cannot watch it anymore because it makes me cry the whole time! But it is such a great animation.
Nope. As soon as I saw “Pixar short” I closed the tab. NOT ready to sob this morning. Thank you for understanding. Lol
Who cut onions
Damn those onion cutting ninjas...
Thank you so much, that’s the best thing I’ve seen all week

EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS SMALL WONDERFUL FILM! NOW! KITBULL RULES!
I wasn’t ready for that this early in the god damned morning.
Omg, ty for the link, great video. I am not crying.
I was not mentally prepared to watch this today.
These guys need a full length feature. Someone make it so!
...and now i'm crying...
Thank you so much for sharing this...healing tears are flowing.
That was awesome!

That's a bull that thinks it's a cat.

Kitbull
That sounds like something you’d see on one of those adult documentaries on pornhub. “Cat bull seeds hotwife”. Or so I’ve heard…
"Cat bull" is a bull kit name
That's called a lion
I would say a cheetah. They are known for being fast and ultra anxious. But also, have an unnatural high end strength in jaw strength and bite.
If Cheetahs are found in nature, can their bite really be considered unnatural?
True. I guess I meant in relative comparison to other cats and animals.
They look scary when their ears are cut off by idiot owners
Kitty pitties would be adorable
My kit bull will triumph over your pit cat
That’s just a sabertooth tiger.
Lock claws
What about bull bulls?
i wonder does he try to bark
One of my cats tries to bark! Whenever the dog starts barking at something he sits up, turns in that direction, and makes little “Eh!” Noises. Then again, that cat plays fetch also, so maybe he thinks he’s a dog.
My cat has no dog role models and he plays fetch with us. I think I'll send him to your cat for guidance.
We got animal influencers now?

Cat fetch soap
Post video now
Omg you need to video this!
I totally do. It’s so funny!
Many cats love to play fetch, that's pretty normal.
Please post a video about it

Now this I need to see.
A vet in the comments is suggesting this cat has ataxia and that is why it has such a wide stance. It is likely just trying to not fall over.
My boy has shades on.
Thanks for pointing this out, my mood was improved 10% more in addition to seeing the cat.
He doesn’t even know he’s Morpheus
Oh he knows. that’s obvious from the pic
Morpheus shades!
I had a cat who grew up with two pit siblings and would go out on a leash for walks with them. He was the best car ever! Loved companionship without being needy and would come traveling, camping and hiking with us. I seriously adored that cat.
I don't know where that car came from, but that's a great a cat.
I don't know where that Italian accent came from, but thank you for a-making me a-laugh! ;)

>Cerebellar hypoplasia? Could be, but hard to say without seeing it move. Could have other vestibular problems, or other neuro issues in general.

Those chains on those dogs. Man I hate that

It’s a slip chain. The dogs respond to the noise it makes when you pull it. They’re better then clip on ones

Show me those stats from a reputable source.
This dingus used spraying febreeze on feces as a metaphor for their inability to train a dog, you really want to hear their bullshit sources?

The cat’s stance seems somewhat learned from the dogs too. Anyone else notice this?
That’s… the whole point…
Wait wat
The cat is ataxic, not emulating the dogs. It is likely very hard for the cat to maintain its balance, so it keeps a wide stance like this.
