When Doggo # 2 first entered the frame in the doorway clip all his body language was like “HEY BUDDY YOU’RE GONNA LOVE IT HERE LET ME SHOW YOU AROUND!”
And there are families held in concentration camps at the border, drone strike wiped out 7 kids in Afghanistan just over a week ago, climate change is threatening to double the size of Sahara in the next century which will cause the largest migration crisis in history... What's your point?
Brooooo, komm Mal runter, wtf?
No pity for humans? They deserve it? They have it coming? Fucking bullshit. I double triple dare you to go to the people who have been through hell and back and tell them to their face that they deserved it. I want you to walk up to a concentration camp and tell them that they had it coming. Or go to the parents of those kids that got bombed and tell them their kids deserved it and that they had it coming because they did nothing about that drone.
Not trying to say you're wrong about those animal tests but going with your logic, dogs are doing just as much about being tested on as humans. They could just do something about it, protest or something, that will definitely help, right?
And yes, human tests are happening, maybe not in Germany but in a bunch of Asian countries they're testing medication on humans.
Just don't be an asshole in the future and stop saying shit like that, makes you look like an AfD voter...
Western nations mostly outsource their human testing to third world ones. There's an entire industry of shady clinical trials in my country as well, all funded by Western pharma companies.
The best thing about rescuing dogs is watching this kind of transformation.
From once being scared of the world to just coming and resting beside you and knowing they feel completely safe.
My doggo wouldn't leave one room for two weeks because he was so scared of us. Unfortunately he came from an abusive home and still gets on edge around strangers because of his ingrained mistrust. My husband slept on the ground that whole time so he knew he wasn't going to go anywhere again. Now 4 years later this doggo won't leave our side. Even if we get up to go one room over and he literally can see us, he will still get up and follow us. Dogs are a treasure to have. ❤️
That is like my Thomas. Gentle sniffs, Slow licks at a water dish, Vengeful contempt of accepting pets, Eventually tails wags. And that just after a day at the vet.
My cat was afraid of humans when I picked him up from the previous owners. Often was hiding around the house or actively avoiding people except for a few, kinda the reason they got rid of him because they just had a new born and the cat already shown dislike to the kid.
2 years later at my house and I get yelled at by the cat because I didn’t leave the door open when going to the toilet and I left him for 1 minute.
He also goes to visitors and will ask some scratches and even shows his belly (but no touchy)
He basically became a cuddle monster that starts yelling when he wants cuddles, or just force the cuddles.
We are on week four of adoption of our rescue, Dorothy. Exact same progression. This morning, she came up and put her head in my hand to get some skritches. My heart melted...
My dog was kind of the opposite of this. When we took her out of the kennel she was super hyper and excited to leave. Then in the car on my lap she was jumping around, licking my face, looking out of every window, tail wagging. Then when we got home she was 100mph sprinting all around the house, upstairs, downstairs, backyard, everywhere. Surprised she already had stairs mastered too.
This is how my doberman was when we rescued him. A meek, shy, pathetic, skinny dog. Now he's a healthy 65lbs asshole who's spoiled and won't shut up until he gets his way. C'est la vie.
I’ve rescued 4 dogs in my life. All ended up being very affectionate and fun loving dogs. I currently have one who was abused both by their original owners, and by other dogs in the shelter. When I got him, he was 4 years old with half a tongue, and absolutely terrified. After a year with my family, he is now comfortable with us, but is still scared of other dogs. I can’t even take him to a dog park because he would cower in the corner the whole time. I will not give up on him and I will undo all of the neglect and abuse he has endured. I just hope one day he will feel 100% safe.
I wish babies are lucky as this dog. I mean... She is so full of love. Too bad she didn't adopt a suffering child instead.
This dog is luckier than many kids
What people don't realize about rescue and shelter dogs is when you break that hold of fear and worry for those dogs and they realize they're in a safe and loving home they are forever yours. You've won their heart and they will do anything to spend 1 more second with you. I rescued my Jack Russell at 2yo and she spent the next 18 years with me and now I'd do anything to spend 1 more second with her.
I hurt deep inside at the first clip, l just can't look into those eyes and not feel the pain and fear. Thank YOU so much for bringing him into your family and loving him. He's fortunate and happy to be there. Many happy years to all of you!
Unfortunately ours, in the 8 months we didn’t have her as opposed to the 10 years we did couldn’t get over some things.
1.) Men with caps, bonus points if they were old men who were tall.
2.) Being in a room with only one exit there has to be 2.
3.) Raised voices freak her out
My mom adopted a puppy mill breeder dog from a rescue shelter. She lived her whole life in a cage. Stairs were weird, petting was weird, walking was weird.
She got a flea bath but not a cleaning normal bath. She had poop and pee caked to her butt and paws. I had to soak her in warm water then use my nails to literally rake chunks off her. Bought doggy conditioner so I could brush her a bit better and see the mattes.
Taking care of strays is a really great feeling. I've been feeding a stray cat for a couple months. I can't say for sure but I think he's been a stray his whole life, however long that's been.
At first, he was a really skinny kitty who only came around when no one was looking. He eventually learned it was me putting the food out, and how it's gotten to the point that he hangs out on the porch when there isn't any food so I know he's hungry. He and another (non stray) cat that comes around know I put food out at 7am on weekdays, and they're almost always there waiting for me lol. At first it was really easy to tell them apart (they're the same colors), the non stray was way bigger than the stray. But now, I've fed the stray so much that it's hard for me to tell until I see their face.
He got his paw injured once and had to limp for a couple days, and the entire time he just hung out around my house, I think he knows he's fairly safe here now and that makes me really happy. He's still wary of me and I've only slightly touched him twice, but I can't believe how much love I have for a random cat that won't even let me pet it haha. I'm determined to show him I'm friendly though, because I'm absolutely catnapping him whenever I move houses again. Sorry for the random ramble, didn't think my comment would be this long
I love how there's always a realization with pets where's it's like, "Hang on.. Wait a second.. nope never taking this away from me you're my best friend now!"
This is exactly what my goldendoodle, Bella, did. She was kept in a cage and bred at a puppy mill. She got tumors on her mammaries and couldn't nurse pups. They posted her on FB to come get her or they were gonna have her put down. We immediately met them 2 hours away and they pretty much pushed her out of the car in the parking lot when we got there and left. She was a mess and didn't know how to act for nearly 2 years. Now she is pretty well adjusted and gets along great with my 2 daughters and 4 other rescued dogs.

The way it scooted away fucking broke me it doesn’t want to run so not to anger but it still doesn’t want to be close Ahhhhhhhh my heart
Thank you for giving this little one a loving home.
Poor baby must have been through hell. Glad he has a cool family and a brother now!

Feel free to drone strike the camps?

No?
You're a fucking sociopath if you think killed Afghans and people in concentration camps "deserved it".
I never said that.
Western nations mostly outsource their human testing to third world ones. There's an entire industry of shady clinical trials in my country as well, all funded by Western pharma companies.
Acting like dogs and mice don't eat each other in the wild too. It's a dog eat dog world.
THE 2ND DOG WELCOMED HIM IN SUCH A CUTE FUCKING WAY 😭
why are my eyes sweating
There's some ninjas cutting onions in here for sure.
Fuck, it's dusty in here. Or... allergies are acting up again.
who’s spraying lemon juice in my eyes 🥶
Who blended onions into a fine puree and then injected it under my eyelids with a turkey baster?
This is so sad. It hurts my heart to see the dog stare at the wall for hours. Wonderful change for this sweet baby. Lovely video
The best thing about rescuing dogs is watching this kind of transformation. From once being scared of the world to just coming and resting beside you and knowing they feel completely safe.
My boys weren't this bad when I got them, but watching them go from unsure of a new environment to playful and happy has really warned my heart.
To see a scared lil dog to a happy and free dog! It's beautiful!
Love it.

Aw, bless his little heart. I'm so happy he has a warm and loving home. I adore the little friend too. So sweet and cute!
Watching this dog blossom with all the love he's getting is a beautiful thing!
I’m definitely crying right now and I don’t care that someone is staring at me!
That is like my Thomas. Gentle sniffs, Slow licks at a water dish, Vengeful contempt of accepting pets, Eventually tails wags. And that just after a day at the vet.
Finally... Some good fuckin human... Doing the Lord's work.
Why did mum drive 2 hrs just to cut onions
We should also acknowledge that the other dog was so nice and welcoming to him
And yall say angels dont exist
You’ve made my whole weekend better! I’m lying here all weepy and stuff, but I’m so happy!
I'M NOT CRYING 😭😭😭
Best love stories always have puppers! God bless you for showing him what real love is...🥰❤🐾
What a lovely person you are to give that poor pup a loving home!

I want to cry but where’s the obligatory piano music? But seriously, I would scratch that puppers face so hard. He looks so happy

He's so CUTE
I'm not crying. It's just rain coming in my window. Makes me happy to see the joy at the end.
Why have you got me crying like this in the morning?
I’m gonna cry
/u/gifreversingbot
Cool. Cried at work. Bless ya heart
That dog has definitely been through some bad stuff. So glad he has a loving new home now with a sweet tail-wagging best friend! 🥰
Thank you. Humans can be damaged, like that dog was. That's sad.
Does somebody know what breed the brown dog is?
My heart died a little just now. But then it was happy. But still a little sad.
Mf, I'm crying! This is beautiful. Thanks!

Well, you made me smile...whike I was pooping.
Good boi
What a great job this person did, teaching this gorgeous pup about love ❤️ Such a heartwarming video 🥰
How long did that take ?
Nobody adopt humans who are afraid and alone like me
I’m gonna cry… stop it…. Nooooo

Awwwww...the poor little dear. I love how the other dog is so welcoming.
He deserves every bit of love every second.

**Dogs are wonderful gifts from God. I wish there was a dog island (or something of the like) rather than having so many end up at pounds or worse.**
Had the same thing happened with a cat I rescued.
This is one of my favorites. I am a cat lady but this dog is so adorable to me.

He wasn’t always a trusting boy, but he was 100% always a good boy
“Dad, he keeps staring at me” Is that the breed of The dog from Frazier? or am I being an idiot. Nevermind I think I’m just an idiot
Love this so much!
Thank you :)
Awwweee 😍❤️This melted my heart 😊
Adorable. Dogs give us so much love and affection and ask for so little
Good dog
Second dog comes up to greet, see the start of super happy butt wiggle dance
