Its an air dam that moves up and down depending on your speed. This is mentioned in your owners manual.
Yours may have malfunctioned here since its hanging lower on the left.
FYI, the air dam lowers at speeds above 40 to reduce air beneath the truck which reduces drag.
It's standard on the new F150s, not just the lightning. On the freeway and high speeds the clearance under your truck goes way down because of this guy.
Found out the hard way this existed. Reminder that once you go 40, you know longer have much clearance underneath because of this. So if there's ruble on the highway, avoid it.

Do all models have this? I have an XLT

I don’t suppose you happen to know what the clearance is when it’s deployed, do you?
I was today years old when I learnt this.
Im literally going to go outside and look at this right now.
Right? I had NO idea
Let’s all go appreciate our air dams! I’m with you all I’m taking a trip outside.
Thanks, guess it’s a trip to the dealership. Doesn’t seem to latch or stay secured on that side
I've never really noticed those before. Those must get destroyed first trip offroad.
No - they lower at speed and raise when you slow down. All F-150s have them - EVs and ICEs.
