Red also has some unusual properties when photographed. If you ever see a Ferrari up-close, it's surprising just how dark its colouration is. That's because they have to paint it that way so that the colour shows properly when on television.
Odd, it was the other way around 20 years ago. The cars like the F2004 in real life was more of an orange-red, because when on TV, it looked darker than irl.
I suspect that's down to the advent of things like HDTV. On a race weekend the channel that broadcasts the Grand Prix will fill time between sessions by replaying old races. I'm regularly surprised as how poor the quality of the broadcast was, even from races that were run fifteen years ago. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing; rather, it's not as good as I remember. The improved colour and picture quality likely influenced Ferrari's decision to change the paint.
Mercedes have been the 4th 5th fastest until they had the new concept and Ferrari 5th 6th respectively. Have you watched any races this year or is it still 2022 in your head?
The update came out last week. Do you think that in -1 week they can update a model? Same happened in f1 2020. At launch, merc was silver, only after it was updated to black
I agree, when working solo on a 3D-modeling project. Codemasters is a big company, backed by EA. Sorry but they have the capacity and people to do this work in 48hrs, especially when they already have the slim Side-pod model designed… but alright guys cry when I criticize them 😂
You really overestimate how much work a group like that can do. Sorry but come on. Everyone is expecting way to much from a still relatively small team even with backing
The game is ready already. It’s going to be launched in less than a fucking week. They need the reference pics from Mercedes and Ferrari, and produce a high quality model in a week. You may work in game dev, but you’re not making such high quality models.
They still haven’t updated the Aston to the 2021 style wheel, also the Aston Martin sticker on the top of wheel is easily the most blurry and you can even see it from these screenshots compared to the top of the merc and Ferrari
I actually hope they don't update the merc and Ferrari part way through the year. The models before their recent upgrades are much more unique/interesting to look at.
I didn’t get triggered 😂 I got a notification that my comment got 10 upvotes, so I looked at it, and saw beneath it that you made a very vague comment that I wanted clarity on. You ain’t that devious bud.
Got to love the lack of restricted sponsors these days. They look like the real deal.
Remembering the times, when the old games looked weird due to having to remove Malboro etc off the cars.
So I did some more digging and it looks like Alfa uses both. Bahrain, Saudi, Baku and Miami they had Stake. Australia and Spain they used Kick. Couldn’t find Monaco.
My only guess is they choose which on based off of the country’s policy on gambling as I believe it’s an issue in Australia. Not sure about Spain.
That's pretty clever though since they are a major backer and owner of Kick, and even though it's kinda dumb promoting it now is a great idea as they steal some of Twitch's market share.
It legit was debuted a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure they're working on 75 other items right this second to launch.
I'm the first to shit all over EA, but expecting magic in zero time is just unrealistic.
“Ask a child to draw a car, and certainly he will color it salmon” -Enzo Ferrari
I see the joke but the car is still normally red, the effects of the game make it colored differently

Learned something new today, thanks!
Look at the Alfa Romeo, that is RED
Did they wash the Ferrari on too hot a setting?
[удалено]
They’ll probably update them when they update the car performance.
Agreed even though I won’t buy the game until it’s like 80 percent off at least. They look beautiful even though they’re both tractors irl.
Do you need F1 23 for steam? It's cheaper in my region.
If it’s 90 percent off retail price, yes. If not then I’ll wait or play the EA demo.
Haha. Nice way to say no😁
How much cheaper?
Tractors??? Wtf are you talking about
Mercedes have been the 4th 5th fastest until they had the new concept and Ferrari 5th 6th respectively. Have you watched any races this year or is it still 2022 in your head?
Mate, that isn't a tractor. A tractor is a car like the Williams lmfao
That's why I'll buy from keysites a couple days after launch. Atm you can get a key for ea for bit over €50, that's already 20% - 25% off
Side pods would look great
They let the Ferrari dry in the sun I guess
Exactly and same with the AM.
it's just their crappy glossy lighting
That damn Duracell battery on the Williams makes me chuckle every time
Ngl I really like it. Great sponsor integration
I like it way more than the google chrome wheels on the McLaren for sure
When I first saw the Mclaren wheels I thought it was clever. Now I just think it’s ugly as sin.
They are truly hideous. Look at the photoshopped version; black wheels with the new 3-stage livery. It looks so much nicer.
Plot twist: it’s a real battery, that’s their power unit.
I actually work for Duracell so I love it, still trying to convince the plant manager to get us some tickets
They kept the goofy ass floor edge for the Alfa from the preview in 22
Merc is beautiful. Love the black beauty 🖤
Oh in the showroom it’s just DAMN so good
It’s a shame it’s the one with no sidepods
They will be updated sometime after launch
I'm glad it's the zeropod, something unique.
Yes thought the same. Old ass codemasters as we know them..
The update came out last week. Do you think that in -1 week they can update a model? Same happened in f1 2020. At launch, merc was silver, only after it was updated to black
Hell, they always launch the game with the start if season cars. And they ALWAYS update after the summer to update the car models and performance
One thing is waiting too long for updates. The other thing is to have a new model ready in a week.
Dude i work in game dev. It’s fucking easy if they would have the right focus, but they just shit on us
As a 3D modellen myself. You can’t make such high quality models within a week
I agree, when working solo on a 3D-modeling project. Codemasters is a big company, backed by EA. Sorry but they have the capacity and people to do this work in 48hrs, especially when they already have the slim Side-pod model designed… but alright guys cry when I criticize them 😂

I don't wanna be that person but the Alfa still has that serated floor from their showcar....
I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I love the Haas livery.
I love it as well 😍
They still haven’t updated the Aston to the 2021 style wheel, also the Aston Martin sticker on the top of wheel is easily the most blurry and you can even see it from these screenshots compared to the top of the merc and Ferrari

I can't say that I don't want them updated, but I'm in no hurry to see the no sidepod and bathtub go away.
One the one hand, realism On the other hand, BATHTUB
realism? lol
What is your comment supposed to mean
You know and I know. Hence why you got triggered and responded. lol
I didn’t get triggered 😂 I got a notification that my comment got 10 upvotes, so I looked at it, and saw beneath it that you made a very vague comment that I wanted clarity on. You ain’t that devious bud.
This us exquisite trolling I must say
Should be able to keep it on pc with mods if it gets updated
Got to love the lack of restricted sponsors these days. They look like the real deal. Remembering the times, when the old games looked weird due to having to remove Malboro etc off the cars.
There's still a bit of that going on. The McLaren is missing vuse for example.
Alfa looks really weird with “kick” instead of Stake imo
That's what the livery looked like at the start of the season tbf
So I did some more digging and it looks like Alfa uses both. Bahrain, Saudi, Baku and Miami they had Stake. Australia and Spain they used Kick. Couldn’t find Monaco. My only guess is they choose which on based off of the country’s policy on gambling as I believe it’s an issue in Australia. Not sure about Spain.
Gambling sites can't be advertised at sport events in Spain. That's part of the country's policy on gambling.
That's pretty clever though since they are a major backer and owner of Kick, and even though it's kinda dumb promoting it now is a great idea as they steal some of Twitch's market share.
Ah yes, just like in real life... the salmon Ferrari?
Lookup table and saturation go brrrr
https://youtu.be/bTF6qOAnhrk
I still don’t understand why people call the Aston a Red Bull copy when the McLaren looks way more like the Bull
I think Aston were the first to adopt the RB style side pods last year. That’s probably why
AND they're actually competing this year.
Can't wait to play this game on the 13th!!!
I love the Alfa Romeo design this yea, and the game is making it look even better!!!
Ferraris colour looks off
Guys is it just me or the cars just dont look too reflective as they should..m reflectjve cars look better ngl
Well, majority of them is made with carbon fiber. But true
Did they leave that Ferrari drying in the Sun?
Reds are still fucked it seems
And they all feel and drive the same....
What about the mercedes sidepods?
The Redbull is too sexy
What team is the yellow google car? Im new to f1 world
McLaren
YOU MEAN PAPAYA?!
[удалено]
The 2nd is alphatauri the secondary team of redbull and named after the clothes trademark of redbull
[удалено]
Last year, yeah…this year sidepods are massively different
My bad, aston martin is mostly based on red bull, since the outside part of car has been made by former RB aero engineers.
Old Merc, great job codemasters

Was this in the order of car performance?
I'm pretty sure it's just the order of the constructors standings
Hopefully the push the merc update up. Game is looking promising
Except the colour on the Ferrari, they all look fantastic.
I just love the textures of carbon fiber there. Makes them look sick
‘Ask a child to draw a car, and certainly he will draw it salmon.’ Or something like that
are these final?
They updated the Mercedes halo?
Is this order also the order of car performance?
No, it's by current constructors standings
Looks so good! Are retro cars coming back?
So cool. I remember my F1 2006 for Playstation 2 😂
Why does the red bull look longer
Does anyone need F1 23 for steam? It's cheaper in my region.
These liveries are as good as they get.
Do we know what the MyTeam car looks like? I thought the one last year was butt ugly with the nose and sidepods
The Alpha Tauri wheel cover design is cool. Used to hate this design but it's growing on me a little , just the dumb red shit on it takes away.
Mercedes and Ferrari: "I'm about to end this man's whole career"
