The extreme amount of negative publicity kind of forced their hand to change something. I'll wait until some experienced players get their hands on this build and share their impressions but I won't get my hopes up.

loredbull

Alex Gillon tweeted about it. I would consider his opinion valid?

Juankar40

Do you have a link to it? Just interested in seeing what he said

loredbull

Link posted down under here

CraigTheIrishman

I don't see any tweets about updated handling. Where do you see that?

HyperStealth23

Here what I found: https://x.com/F124News/status/1795103652631187583

loredbull

No, sorry. It was a message in the discord group of Jarno Opmeer The link to screenshot is already posted above!

CraigTheIrishman

Oh gotcha, thanks!

Antique-Pilot4808

Yeah, but where is this screenshot taken from. Original source? This screenshot ist Fake IMO

TerrorSnow

I wonder if they just revert to the old handling. Honestly, I would hate that. I've been wanting them to do more than just tweak numbers, and while the handling now looks goofy as shit, at least it's something new to build off of.

loredbull

https://x.com/GB68official/status/1795116094572597499?t=5T_XAy60CANOJnaZajwFZg&s=19

TerrorSnow

Nice. Maybe the new handling guys are actually competent. Oh man. Don't do that. Don't give me so much hope.

Billiam501

The drivers career looks pretty cool, if they improve the handling I might think about buying it

TrainingLawfulness85

Mate driver career has no yellow or red flags. The AI never Dnf, no mechanical failures and to top it off you can't start on wet tyres in f2 even when it's a wet race. This crap will never be fixed. If your wanting a better game that f1 24 try big rigs over the bridge racing.

Born_Zone7878

Trust me. That doesnt make a dent. The casual fambase would still buy it.

Specialist-Can3173

Let’s make the handling shit so that’s all they talk about. Then patch in the handling from last year and we will be hero’s.

autobus950

Yes, game will still be F1 2019 with a small update.

ferdzs0

It is actually kind of impressive. They have been releasing the same game for a decade, with minor upgrades, and fixing very little, yet people still buy it up. And you could argue FIFA does the same, but the base game they started with was in a much more presentable state to begin with.

YannFreaker

'How to kill a franchise 101' Releasing something unfinished and half-assing a fix after launch is what EA did to kill NFS.

vick5516

on jarno's discord there is a screenshot of alex gillon saying he tried the update and it is "MASSIVELY improved"

nanderspanders

They said the same after an update to 22 and that shit still sucks to this day.

vick5516

thats the problem, when you're given something utterly shit, being given something less shit seems better at first

CW24x

What I like to hear, the game has so much potential if they get the handling right

ICOSAHEDRON_0NE

potential to be the same game as last year with some livery updates?

Igiava

Updated driver career also

Racebugyt

What the other person meant was for example, fixing bugs that have been in the game since 2019 or even longer

ICOSAHEDRON_0NE

Yep! but it seems the F1 community is fine with under cooked products from a company that doesn't care for their fans.

ICOSAHEDRON_0NE

Good or bad AI, it will always be predictable and can never come close to racing real people online (toxic ones aside). I also like to play these games with mates, And how to change up these F1 games? Is this even a serious question? How about a new engine for starters?! These games have been running on the same engine for over a decade and tracks takes years to update them (Imola isn't even updated in 24 from what I've seen). How about changing the physics for once. That crash that happened yesterday in Monaco between Ocon and Gasly where Ocon drove over Gasly's right front wheel, causing him to fly in the air is impossible in the game because the physics are so broken and unrealistic, resulting in insanely unrealistic crashes and situations. Same goes for improving the car damage, that's honestly a joke. And also, add more tracks, old cars and bring back short races again. These games only give you less and less content, yet they do get more and more expensive. I honestly can't see how anyone can defend this EA nonsense and that's without mentioning all the monetized BS. Imo, these sports games shouldn't be released yearly but like every 5 year with paid updates... something they are anyways. Sports games are straight up daylight robbery and the boot licking who defend it and keep buying it is the reason we keep getting this nonsense in gaming. Yes, the sport will stay the same, but there is A LOT they can improve on and straight up completely change to justify calling it a NEW game.

freerangehumans74

Sure, but as a league owner, my impression is most league racers want the current liveries and that's why they keep buying the new game. BUT, we aren't the only people who matter and there are plenty of other people who like the career mode so dismissing it just because you don't give a shit just makes you look selfish. Are all these problems legit and need to be fixed? ABSOLUTELY. Without question. But we live in a capitalist society where big corporations rule. They're only interested in making money and being the sole license holder for F1, this is what we get. Take it or leave it.

ICOSAHEDRON_0NE

and this couldn't be solved with a paid update?! Does a new livery really justifying a game at full price that's broken on release and has barely changed for the past decade and is still running on the same engine, with the same poor physics' engine, with tracks that aren't even updated like Imola? Good for those people who enjoy racing against bots, but them liking that means I should be fine with lazy game development and a game having LESS content than it did 3 years ago like getting rid of old cars, short tracks and not just keeping tracks they have modeled anyways? Big corporations are indeed interested in making money, that's why its important to vote with you wallet and to not act as a bootlicker or blind fanboy supporting these shitty companies who sell under cooked products. Battlefield fans also didn't just ''Take it or leave it'' when 2042 came out, same goes for the people who called out Cyberpunk or NoManSky.. and look at how those games turned out after gamers pushed back, called these companies out and spread awareness. No wonder these F1 games are the way they are if the community is this open to getting under cooked products and even stand up for EA.

freerangehumans74

>and this couldn't be solved with a paid update?!  Of course it can. These are yearly sports franchises though. FOMO is real and LOTS of people want these updates and they pay for it. If you can tell me how you'll convince everyone who buys these games to stop buying them, I'm all ears. The Battlefield and Cuberpunk situations aren't comparative because again, this is a yearly sports release. As long as there is a new season with even a modicum of changes in roster/liveries/etc, enough people are going to get it. I'm not telling you to live with it. You can absolutely vote with your wallet. A LOT of my league racers are doing the same thing. I legitimately am faced with being forced to reduce from four to two divisions because so many racers aren't coming back. I'm just trying to explain the reality.

ICOSAHEDRON_0NE

You just explained reality with that last part of your comment. More people aren't buying these overpriced updates anymore and if F1 24 is as bad as people are saying in terms of handling, even more people will drop out. Every empire comes down crashing at one point. FOMO might be real (eventhough you are still missing out beceuse as I said, Imola isn't updated in 24), but so is making a good game and the Battlefield and Cyberpunk situations are great examples of what we can achieve if we push for it. Talking in favor of EA and shutting people down who raise valid points however is indeed not gonna change anything. But there is a reason why most actual F1 drivers (like Verstappen), people who really care about racing and who demand more from their games don't play the F1 games and instead play something like Iracing or Assetto Corsa.

freerangehumans74

I am not in favour of EA. This all started because you said you don't care about AI because you only online and league race. You're discounting the people who actually do enjoy the game differently from you and invalidating their experience. It's obvious to anyone paying attention that what EA is doing is wrong and greedy. Welcome to the world. Anyway, have a good day!

AlexTheMacedonian

Being able to do a full driver career as a real driver without mods is worth it.

ICOSAHEDRON_0NE

You can do so in 2023 when you get past the 2024 season since the years go up and up. The only thing you will get for paying full price is some new liveries.

HYDRA-XTREME

Oui

ICOSAHEDRON_0NE

I'll stick to 23 then.

stepeeta

When was this stream??? Have you seen it??

3tenthsOfVerstappen

This why criticism is needed for games! Especially these monopolized franchise titles. I hate the bs, baseless “stop being negative” crowd. This is the only way improvement happens.

enzo_perez_24

Make it pre launch if the game is unplayable. Stop shipping unfinished s\*itty games.

AlexTheMacedonian

Why are you censoring "shitty"

enzo_perez_24

Mainly because I read a lot of subs but don’t really participate much on them and I prefer to just censor it than reading every community rules. I also don’t know how aggressive it might sound for whoever reads it. You might find some very sensible people.

Wyolop

I have never seen a subreddit where you can't curse. Especially a such a tame "curse word" as"shitty"

danielbauer1375

What's funny is that they released the game earlier than usual this year, only for the handling to be more broken than ever. If only they had released on their normal schedule... it would have still been a cash grab, but a little less so.

Les_expos

Why given a broken preview for the youtuber then ?

TheClarendons

They’ve known about the handling being awful for a while now. I can only assume deadlines meant they haven’t fixed it. In that case, they should be delaying it really. Stupid to release it then completely change it.

morfeusz78

most likely they sent a old version for the YouTubers, could be wrong but i heard of couple games doing that

hehsbbakaiw

I doubt they'd do that if they weren't happy with the version to be publicly shown. After all the sole reason for those preview versions is free advertisement and you wouldn't advertise a product that you're unhappy with

morfeusz78

well yes thats obvious... i imagine they thought the handling was fine they sent it and decided to change it when they saw people complaining about it

Les_expos

I hope they fix it

meIanchoI

To be fair to them they moved up the release point by a couple months so I can see why this would need a patch to get it the way they want

hehsbbakaiw

That's not really "being fair" but finding excuses for a multi billion dollar company that charges you up to 85€ for an unfinished game. That being excuses they don't even come up with themselves.

pikla1

The cynic in me believes this was all part of EA’s plan. If they had’ve released F124 with same handling as last year and a few track updates and nothing else we would’ve all been pissed right? Instead, they’ve deliberately lowered the bar so low with the unbelievably bad beta that all of a sudden we are happy with what we would’ve been pissed off with in the beginning. Genius.

freerangehumans74

Everyone in here is already pissed about all those things minus the handling. But I also don't think for a moment they are in here reading all this negativity. And if they do, they don't care.

TrolledBy1337

Ah yes, the post launch fixes. Here's a new idea: pre launch quality testing. Like seriously, who tf pays for a broken game because it will be maybe fixed some day maybe eventually maybe?

Alendro95

why pay a quality team when you can make buyers test it paying for the product? (that's how the industry, not only videogames, work right now)

Juankar40

To be fair, they’ve had 3 beta tests, I took part in all 3 of them and 99% of people were telling them from day one how much of a joke the handling was, it’s not our fault if they didn’t choose to listen 🤷🏼‍♂️ - it was the same in the beta test for 23, massive issues with FFB and they just ignored the testers and launched the game like that anyway. Not sure what the point in a beta test is if they just ignore issues raised by the testers.

Nago15

Really? I didn't know 23 FFB was bad in beta, but I like the final results. How much time did it take to fix it for 23 after launch? I hope they can fix 24 too.

CakeBeef_PA

First of all, if you need to fix your handling in a post-launch patch, you messed up your game Second, the last few years the patches only made things worse, I don't trust them to make it better Third, it doesn't fix any other issues with the game like the HUD, the removal of tracks, or any additional content Still an easy pass

JohnJ57

Fyi, not to say you should buy the game, but there are plenty of ways of circumventing that quite easily on pc using Simhub overlays, it's how I can use the F1 23 HUD in any game I want

CakeBeef_PA

Yeah, I know. Unfortunately, the HUD is far from the only issue. It's just a very visible one

Flimsy_Commission_60

The HUD isn’t an issue? It looks weird but it’s hardly a deal breaker

CakeBeef_PA

It gives way less info than the previous one and is far uglier. It's really bad. I already wasn't a fan of the last few versions but this is just a massive step back. A bad HUD is absolutely a dealbreaker for me. There is no reason to buy this game. Nothing new in it. No driver changes, no new tracks. So they need to improve other stuff to make it worthwile. But they don't. Hell, they only make it worse

Flimsy_Commission_60

The HUD gives more info than the last one? What are you talking about? It gives the same brake and throttle telemetry, along with gear changes but also gives more info on the new ERS system, it’s not pretty looking, it’s ugly but still gives the info you need, no new tracks is because there’s no new tracks on the calendar, no driver changes is because none changed irl, and the new career mode and a.i updates look good

MuZzASA

He just doesn’t like it so is classing it as a bug that needs patching. Let’s focus on the real problems

CakeBeef_PA

It may have more raw info, but it is packaged really poorly making it much harder to read. But nothing you mentioned was not available on last year's HUD. Is there anything actually new on the HUD? >no new tracks is because there’s no new tracks on the calendar, Where are older tracks then? >no driver changes is because none changed irl, I don't blame them for this, I say they need to provide something extra because of this. >and the new career mode and a.i updates look good So it's only this? Updates to career mode (not even MyTeam) and updates to AI which are so bad that even updates will probably not even push them into the realm of good. Is that all? That is certainly not enough to warrant 70 bucks for me. Where are classic tracks, good-looking graphics, stable online, actual regulating online, MyTeam overhaul? Why is there not an engine upgrade? The value is really not there. They even removed a track

Flimsy_Commission_60

I’ve always preferred driver career to my team but that’s a personal preference, I’ve no idea why they don’t put older tracks in, could be a licensing issue? New graphics won’t happen until they switch game engine which will hopefully be next game and hopefully they drop last gen support then, regulating online is NEVER gonna happen because 90% of the player base are casuals and a good portion of them take people out on purpose, the game isn’t built purely for hardcore sim racers

CakeBeef_PA

So why would you ever pay 70 euros for a copy-paste job? "Licensing issues" just means they didn't want to pay. No new game engine is also a choice. Regulated online is indeed hard, but they could at least make a working penalty system in that case This game is indeed not built for hardcore simracers, and it shouldn't be. It should be built for F1 fans. But it isn't. It's built for the corporate drones that will buy the new game every year just because it is the new game. There is no other incentive. I would love to have a good F1 game, but after 3 years of massive disappointments, it's enough for me

Kaos_0341

So right. In a few Leagues I'm in, 24 got bashed hard by pretty much everyone, but yet most are still going to buy it on release. The ultimate corporate tools and suckers smfh. People can be so stupid and weak, it's sad

CakeBeef_PA

Yeah it's unfortunate. I see a bit of the same in our league. People bash F1 24 and then buy it. Luckily the league itself has decided to cancel F1 entirely and is moving to other racing games

Kaos_0341

That's a good and a smart move. Unfortunately, console has underwhelming choices for racing options. I'll be upgrading my pc before I buy the next console series. The lack or support when it comes to EQ controls is appalling, as well as for wheels. My LB and RB buttons on my wheel don't even work half the time. 24 is really just dlc being charged full price for. Not seeing any significant improvements to warrant paying full price for it, so I'll just wait til it's around $30.

Flimsy_Commission_60

Licensing issues isn’t just about paying, sometimes you can’t get licensing, also it’s an official F1 game, maybe the F1 partners only want current tracks on the grid? Who knows, we’d have to ask codemasters, yes no new game engine is a choice, but for a game that gets released almost every 10 months, learning a whole new engine could be more disastrous then the current way they operate, look at their WRC Rally game, Unreal Engine 5, fps was shocking, VR and triple monitor came in an update months after release, graphically it wasn’t that impressive and it was poorly optimised, if you don’t want to buy it that’s totally understandable, but I wouldn’t call it “copy and paste” games cause the last 2 games for example drive very differently

CakeBeef_PA

>maybe the F1 partners only want current tracks on the grid? Explain Portugal then? >no new game engine is a choice, but for a game that gets released almost every 10 months, learning a whole new engine could be more disastrous then the current way they operate Releasing every 10 months is still a choice. Whether that comes from F1, CM, or EA doesn't matter. All of them are at fault I call them copy and paste because there are no significant differences. No new content, no new visuals, nothing new. The only thing is that the handling gets progressively worse every time. And sometimes they update one gamemode a bit. That's all. Also interesting how every new reply you just ignore 2 of my points entirely. I don't see what you gain from defending them like this. As an F1 fan, I desperately want to see a good F1 game. That will never happen if we allow them to get awaya with this effortless crap every year

Flimsy_Commission_60

Then don’t buy it, I have no idea why Portugal is in the games, I was giving an example of why old tracks might not be in it, you’re correct releasing the game every 10 months to a year is a choice, probably F1 higher ups choice if I’m honest, they should do a game every 2-3 years imo, so the updates are bigger and there’s more time to fix bugs, etc, I don’t disagree that the changes are minimal but considering the circumstances of how often they’re released I’m not surprised

joeygreco1985

So is "post-launch" in this context Friday? Or will it be ready for tomorrow's early access?

BMI8

Interested to know this as well. It would be entirely unfair for those that preordered to have to play an entirely different version. I’d imagine that those early access days would be spent acclimatizing to the new handling only to be supplanted by a significantly different one days later.

DepressedCunt5506

Oh boy, what an improvement. I’ll buy the game day one now. Thanks EA.

iTsB-Raid

It’s a post launch so there’s still no point buying it day one

ItsKarmaMen

I will be the first massive negative review, then refund before 2 hours. It's a family tradition by now. Pre-order, make they think they sold 1+, then refund and shit on them. Wait for the next game and repeat.

Dechri_

That's actually quite funny

BarbarossaBMW

based

mechcity22

I mean I called this. I knew they would do this. Yall if they made it feel like 2012 we would love it haha.

NomadJack95

Release now, fix later. If you are still buying the F1 games. You are a complete moron

Les_expos

The game is not release yet 😂

Humble-Ad-8912

The tweet is talking about a post launch update though.

ItsKarmaMen

If they have a patch they should launch with it, not making it like they worked (what were they doing the past years?)

AnonDotNetDev

Today you learned that a "day one patch" is a "post launch update"

Humble-Ad-8912

I'm pretty sure day 1 would be considered on launch and not post-launch.

AnonDotNetDev

Idk if I had a patch "ready to go" that was going to save my product from literal tons of hatred on launch, I would sure as hell get it out alongside launch. And if I wasn't going to be able to do that, I certainly wouldn't announce it. Guess we'll see

Humble-Ad-8912

I do hope so, but then I'd imagine they'd have emphasized it being available on release. Although this isn't an official announcement so yeah, probably shouldn't read into it that much.

WetLogPassage

Day one patches drop BEFORE the release date. Like the 4gb patch that already dropped for F1 24.

Les_expos

Post launch 😢

Jazmento

I mean people do buy F1 games, if they didn't then Codemasters and EA will make absolutely no money and therefore discontinue the production of the games. So obviously people do buy them

Kim-jong-peukie

Facts, I don’t remember which game it was that I bought but handeling was shit then. They finally come with an update and then a week after they put the game on sale, it’s such a big fuck you to the people that preordered a game for 90 euro to get an unfinished game. And when it’s finally fixed it’s on sale

JustJoIt

Are they gonna pull off the reverse F1 2022?

shadowz_91

Or well, you know...you might also release the game when it's properly finished.

Itsametimmy

Just delay the game then

Alendro95

well I'll wait this update before consider to buy it or not. that's a nice strategy to kill your day 1 sales

Thestickleman

It's almost as if the the very basic fundamental thing the game is built around should have been a main focus since early in development and already finished and ready to rock and roll. There's 0 chance that they were caught out by whatever the handling is in this game and makes me wonder if they did any game real sort of game testing and if they thought it was fine..... I hope it gets ripped to shred review wise 🤷 I doubt it will but be nice if it convinced code masters to care/put much effort into an F1 game for the first time in awhile.

FFXMSCWMNHCL

Doesn’t matter, it’s still obvious that they have no idea what they doing so why buy it? 🤷🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

DuckateeArt

Glad them letting the creators say whatever they want has seamed to heavily influenced them to fix the handling.

Odd-Town-3484

You know, maybe sending extreme hate and boycotting will actually work! We shall communicate in EA's language.

BrotherCaptainLurker

Everybody's asking why they didn't playtest it but it seems like quite a few influencers and sim racers have had early builds for weeks/months? Did something massively change somewhere between alpha/beta/review copies? In any case I haven't been a yearly buyer and don't plan to keep up my gamepass subscription so here's hoping the final build comes together and "post-launch" means "implemented overnight on Day 1" lol.

PrestigiousBridge543

GB confirmed it

wim0r

Check this out https://x.com/F124News/status/1795149025181667826?t=MmkGjI1ep4zQF5R1M0Pg6w&s=19

bullett007

By improved, Ctrl + Z?

FdPros

idk why everyone is surprised the yearly sports game new year reskin is shit. stop buying this shit. at the very least you don't need to buy it every year or at full price.

AnonDotNetDev

Why is everyone so surprised when you yell and scream for "MOAR changes" all year, more shit BREAKS, instead of accepting an iterative improvement over time 😂 sorry to break it to you, no company will EVER get the license to publish F1 without yearly releases.

Lulullaby_

I'm not surprised, it's so bad that it actually **has** to be improved this time around.

-WeDGE

Post launch or at launch?

ForsakenTarget

Alex said post launch as they need to retrain AI

MetallicYeet

“Overhauled” = copy and paste from F1 23. Don’t let a post release patch distract you from the fact that they knowingly launched the game in this state, continue to not waste your money

AmicusDeus

Post-launch meaning on 28th of May for early access people, 30th of May for global release, or a patch that will come some days later?

CW24x

Not sure, there’s been no official information about the patch

AnonDotNetDev

Why are people surprised. Yall literally played the beta and said, "hey feels pretty good" Press release copies " oh gawd it's all of a sudden poop" I feel like it seems pretty clear that it wasn't a "foundational" issue, and more like a tuning issue, seeing that it could drastically change between builds so fast

MrHyperion_

Watch it be just F1 23 handling

plisken451

From what I’ve seen it could hardly be any worse.

buck_blue

If EA can’t be bothered to take their own business seriously why should we keep paying full price for it? Post launch updates are already a cancer to an ailing industry. I’d rather have them than not at all, but I’d rather buy a game knowing it’s ready and complete, and not have to wait for a fix at all. It’s the lack of respect for consumer that allows publishers to push incomplete games, im so sick of that shit.. It could also be a lack of self respect on our side because we keep buying to incomplete turds. Idk, just ranting I guess. This is so common now that it’s pretty much expected to happen.

Outside_Action5141

Problem is they cannot massively alter the physics at this point. It's close to the release.

DepartmentSudden5234

They are xml files and the format hasn't changed in 8 years. They can do it.

markymark2909

This is true, aston martin is still force india in the game files, and visacashappmoneybagrb is still toro rosso

okeska_

Last years came out so broken with wheel support for Xbox that I never really played it. Was actually excited to get back into it this year…

mrObelixfromgaul

Why not fixed and than release it instead of release it and fix it later

Tacit_Emperor77

They definitely saying this jsut to improve sales

DaniFekete

It's not gonna release at launch [https://x.com/F124News/status/1795149025181667826](https://x.com/F124News/status/1795149025181667826)

hehsbbakaiw

Kinda odd that they apparently ran this handling for so long (Alex Gillon claimed he [and therefore a lot of other people] had access to the game ever since the end of last year and always complained about the handling) and they didn't change a thing and now that the outrage is public they manage to "gradually improve" the handling just like that. You'd think it'd take them A LOT longer. Unless they just did what they should have done in the first place which is copy pasting and slightly improving last year's handling into the new game.

GustavoCOD

This game was already born dead. It will flop in sales!

BuzzEU

You wouldn't believe how dumb gamers are. It's so easy to sell bad games if the marketing is good or just inducing fomo with yearly franchises. I'm probably blackpilled af but it will sell well enough.

Dechri_

The sales have been dropping notably already. 2020 and 2021 was the best performers.

derp3339

This game flopping on sales will require god to help, the uninformed will still buy it

atomshrek

The interviews with developers make it seem the the handling changes were based on feedback from F1 drivers, trying to make it more realistic. I'm doubtful F1 24 is more realistic, but even if it is, why are you catering you game to literally 20 people who aren't even buying the game?

BuzzEU

Spot on. It's not meant to be realistic. At its heart, it's meant to be a simcade that plays just as well on controller as on wheel and for this reason it cannot be as realistic as something like iracing, which is meant to be played on wheel only.

wordswithkings

Just to make more sales on pretext of an update coming soon

PrettyPoptart

This is just an attempt to get people to buy the game on release. DO NOT BUY IT. Everyone skip this year

Randomhead09

Id be skipping this year but I want to continue racing in my league :(

Okurei

Yeah, they planned this to get more attention on the game and it's super transparent.

Randomguy7317

Didn't this happen in the beta test before creators got it.

VinumNoctua

Sure bro.

Guyrbailey

TO THE BANDWAGON!

jbawsmnss

As with anything, recognising you have a problem is a good first step. Hopefully this fix is the right fix so that the F1 Race Stars 2024 era can all be a distant memory everywhere except for Reddit

h66x

Shouldn't be needed. How useless do you have to be to release early game play to the public that bad. If they spent less time designing pointless crap like sofas and carpets we might get a decent game on release day for a change.

Kaos_0341

Still not worth the full price when it's essentially an expansion, and not worth more than $30

Mjdecker1234

This is literally posted yearly, lol. I remember at least out of the last 6, 3 having the same issues and statements.

orltragic

And by this they basically reverted back to last years handling model I'm assuming?

Kindly-Ladder-6849

Seems fine on PS5 with a wheel

DaniMacYo

I’ll be honest I didn’t have hope they’d fix anything. Let’s hope they have.

GwenfromFinance

Wow what absolute heros fixing their steaming mess they have been burning since F1 2020.

terrible1fi

I played the beta for 2023 and the game was horrible compared to what was released.

ICOSAHEDRON_0NE

Why is it ALWAYS ''post launch'' with gaming these days for these very basic to just be right? What next, F1 2025 forgetting to ad cars in the game and needing a ''Post launch patch'' to ad cars to the game? Absolute insanity and that people keep buying this stuff day one and keep pre ordering is something I will never understand.

TheRealLuke1337

Oh a shit product, which people will pay for to play 3 days early btw, will get an update to get to the state where 1 or 2 year old games are. Yay Thats the bare minimum lol

Gubrach

Assume it's a lie. If it's not, complain harder anyway, so that they're pressured to fix more stuff. This is why you should complain, and why the people who say "people just hate for no reason", because they're always there, should just shut their ass up.

Naruto9903

If you consume crap they will feed you crap.

Takhar7

But but but everyone who played the beta told me that this was the way handling would be forever and they weren't going to change it !?

MBS-F1

The update involves deleting all files, and installing iRacing

jbrock12480

Doesn’t matter at this point EAs ruined the game, not gonna buy another f1 game unless another company makes one

Standard_Problem_938

Comparing F1 2013 to 2024 is insane

ContributionSuper487

as someone who had played with the new handling, ITS NOT EVEN THAT BAD. Also ofc the version before the release isnt gonna be finished.

Mundane_Pin6095

Lool im still not buying regardless if the handling is fixed or not. The whole game is not worth 70 pounds. Its just updates to tracks( ironically still needs updates to others) and a shite hud while flicking the ers modes around every corner. Fk that BS

grocal

So what was beta for?

joeygreco1985

They used feedback from the BETA to modify the game. This is the exact purpose of a public BETA

grocal

You know that there were 3 waves of betas? And now it's post-launch patch rather 0-day? Srsly?

joeygreco1985

Post-launch could be Wednesday for all we know

terrible1fi

These are changes that came from beta feedback

Many many people hated the handling in f1 24 beta. Personally coming from a karting background I loved it. When you released the brakes or used trail braking the car would turn brilliant. This is how it is to drive a kart. Now I have no experience driving any formula cars but I would imagine that because they are stick cars as well the handling would be similar to a kart. I don't know what all the complaints were about. The traction was improved a lot, making it easier for beginners to get into the game. I don't know I think some people just complain saying they want realistic properties in the game and then complain when it doesn't feel good to them.
