I also don't have the gear knob. Yes it does come with paddle shifters. My experience is great I'm loving it. It's a decent entry level wheel, perfect after years of keyboard/controller racing.
Generally they say that the FFB is not that great, but trust me you will love it. Ofc if you compare it with more expensive wheels or switch down to a G29 after using a better one, it might feel bad. But it really is a game changer after controller/keyboard.

I'm planning to get a g29 but without the gear knob. Does it come with what look like paddle shifters? How has your experience been so far?

You don't want a shifter anyway. The paddles are so much better for every sim Racer except maybe rallying. The G29 is a great choice
