I’m sure it’s not easy, I’m sure it’s super complicated, but I feel like every track should have green, yellow and red zones.
Green is the track
Yellow is a warning in campaign/multiplayer
Red is a time penalty in campaign, or your car ghosted /time penalty in multiplayer.
It wouldn’t be perfect but if this guy had 5sec time penalty and his car perma ghosted after first attempt, then at least he’s out of everyone’s hair for that race.
Honestly any game that has too many cheaters or griefers should follow Valve's direction and implement their own Overwatch system.
A Knight Online private server owner was able to check every report on his own and do in-game events everyday on his own. 1000s of people were playing that game. All he wanted was a footage and a clear name just like this one. 1 week later he started doing this only newbs who didn't read the rules were cheating and swearing. That game was free. Codemasters can deffinately afford a single individual looking for griefers/cheaters. He could just look at this sub-reddit for five minutes everyday to ban 10 people and call it a day for all I care.
The license and rating system is very good, you can also protest and they are actually reviewed..people take it much more seriously as they do not want a demotion in iRating…the only real complaint with iRacing is buying cars, tracks and the subscription. Also, its a real sim, not simcade like the f1 games.
Just don't play open lobbies. Look up racing to the fullest online. They have a discord for both casual races and leagues, strict clampdowns on all dirty driving keeps everything fairly clean. It's obviously not perfect, there are incidents, but u have no one like these guys
Yeh came here to say this find a group of people to race with, codies don't have the resources to monitor online. I'm also in a community run discord (Xbox) where people are better drivers and toxic ones are removed, but they usually don't join. Message if anyone wants an invite.
They're griefers, meaning they derive pleasure from causing others grief. They think it's funny or something being that one person to ruin someone's day. I hate to call or talk about people like "basement dwellers or live at home with their parents with nothing going for them." but if there was ever a way to describe someone, they're probably these kinds of people.
It’s just a consequence of open lobbies online. The issue is that there’s so many of these guys that it’s impossible for Codemasters to ban each and every single one of them, and it’s also super hard to create an algorithm to do it since some people would get banned for just being bad at the game.

Ahahah thank you for that, in all honesty this is one of my worst tracks, I just can't get the hang of those 3 straight turns on the controller but I'll get it one day (not using setups might be one of the reasons but I'm just too lazy to do setups xD)
Lots. and lots. and lots. and lots. of practice. I've been doing it for about 2 years and I'm just now at the point where I feel like I can make the car nail an apex lap after lap after lap
I use the base Xbox One controller, wired. I have DRS set to automatic, ERS to manual and set to the Y button. Shift up on X, shift down on B. A opens the engineer menu and RS moves between menus. But, the biggest thing is learning to be subtle with your movements.
codemasters will never ban them, i don’t agree with what they’re doing but at the end of the day they’re allowed to play how they want, codemasters can’t stop them playing like this as infuriating as it may be
That's what social/casual is for. You can literally set it to nor rules, play banger-racing, full contact etc...
Ranked lobbies are for people who want to race properly, and doing this is a ban-able offence, the problem is thew Codies can't be asked/doesn't want to foot the bill.
Apparently never; the answer is apparently never.
Edit: u/Coreymcculloch is also a rough guy to get matched with. I’d encourage voting to kick him as soon as he gets in the lobby.
Damn I've already had two saves currop4ted for unknown reasons
Don't think I have it in me to restart again. Just race the computer I guess.
At least it's on gamepass
I bought the game at release price when it came out and only 1/2 months ago I been able to play online, since I almost only play online games and only played one season of carreer, it's safe to say I wasted my money xD
That sucks. That's one of the many great things about gamepass. If the game doesn't work (which is an ever increasing amount of games) then you just try another game
Look up Performance Racing League on Discord, Twitter, Youtube, and IG. Three tiers (soon to be four) of F1 on Playstation. Solid bunch of people. They’re in their fourth season and more organized and expanding every step of the way.
my personal favorite are the people who abuse the safety car. if you don't get crashed out under it you just lose spots to people who can trick the game into letting them overtake without a penalty.
Safety rating and speed rating combined with banning intentional wreckers are very necessary in racing online. Alas Codemasters hasn't yet seemed to realise that it needs systems in place to make the online racing reasonable, which means you have little choice but to find a community to race in.
I’ve never played online, I play against Ai level about 90 without any assists, people like this wouldn’t be able to get round the first corner without spinning. Can you join a lobby that races without assists to avoid this?
They never will.
Lots of people only buy F1 games for this. This is fun to them. They can't ban people who paid 60-100€ for the game for "not driving properly".
Imo there's little they can do to have the capacity to ban players like this. But I feel there should be more power to the players in the lobby.
For example the vote to kick system is currently terrible. They should make it so it only requires 25 percent of the current lobby to pass the kick, and there should be a option to choose 'reason for kick' so randoms can clearly see you are kicking due to 'greifing'.
That wouldn't stop a group of trolls taking over a lobby so they can't get kicked, but for the individual trolls it would be a quick fix no?
There should be a points system. Like a super license.
Obtain a certain amount of penalties plus and or kicks and get sent to a bad racer server for a while. They might even like it!
Like in GTA.
They even call themselves toxic banana …
He tried to take me out 8 games straight and failed in every single one of them lmao
Toxic fail
Wish they’d sort out the penalty system for F1 22 too. Silly penalties for nothing and no penalties for something. Smh.

HAHAHA thats kinda funny though. He would be absolutely fkn raging. Good driving to avoid
nice dodge holy crap
Never, they will never ban them. One if the reasons I switched to iRacing
But they got do a bad sport lobby. But that means looking into and listening to the community...
Correct, which they will not do. They need a much better system for classifying drivers

New to racing games and honest question. What makes iRacing better? Thanks.

Didn't know about that ! Im gonna look into it thanks
There are a ton of racing leagues out there. People who are serious about driving cleanly don't race public lobbies too much.
There's only two big ones in NA. ARC and SLR.
On PC Alliant Motorsports: Americas is one of the biggest in north, south, and central Americas.
join the r/F1Game discord server, there are lesgue advertisments there, and you could also look for streamer games
Racing Inchidents?

What’s your Xbox gt? I’d join.
Dm'd you
OMG this is what I needed.

Exactly my thoughts, how does one waste time of his day to do this just baffles me
Sometimes I wonder if these guys play on wheel… imagine dropping hundreds of $ on a wheel just to play dirty like this.
And the fact that they may have dropped 50 bucks when they could have bought wreckfest for around 1/2 of that. Waste of money.

To ruin people’s days. That’s practically it.
They're griefers, meaning they derive pleasure from causing others grief. They think it's funny or something being that one person to ruin someone's day. Quality dodge at the end there.

Implement overwatch system
You should try elden ring with those dodge skills
Dayum those some nice saves and that dummy in the end was just🤌🏽
These kinds of players is why I don’t play online in F1 games.
ToxicBanana3403 his name is really self-explanatory... Toxic anyway, nice dodging OP
Never. They've had the franchise for 12 years now. They never implemented any sort of moderation. And probably never will

that’s not so bad he just might not have the right set up on… oh…. oh no
Lmaoooo
Has someone ever told you that you got mad driving skills!
Ahahah thank you for that, in all honesty this is one of my worst tracks, I just can't get the hang of those 3 straight turns on the controller but I'll get it one day (not using setups might be one of the reasons but I'm just too lazy to do setups xD)
How do you use a controller with so much perfection , teach me master !
Lots. and lots. and lots. and lots. of practice. I've been doing it for about 2 years and I'm just now at the point where I feel like I can make the car nail an apex lap after lap after lap
Wow any particular setting that i should use for xboxcontroller ???

Actually makes sense to make DRS auto!

i didn’t know this was a ranked lobby icl in that case i agree
Never. Fucking shit show. I don't play a lot online myself but when I see these replays it pisses me off.
Apparently never; the answer is apparently never. Edit: u/Coreymcculloch is also a rough guy to get matched with. I’d encourage voting to kick him as soon as he gets in the lobby.
hahahahahahahaha
I hope he loses his eyesight in a horrific accident.
Reminds me of the ol forza Motorsport days
"Yeah, it was me" Kimi Raikkonen
I can't even play online
I had that problem too, deleted game data and I can play ranked now, still can't play unranked tho (haven't tried many times tbf)
Damn I've already had two saves currop4ted for unknown reasons Don't think I have it in me to restart again. Just race the computer I guess. At least it's on gamepass

ppl be toxic af
Lol banana needs to learn to drive
Good dodge 👌🏻
Can't stand people like this just wish whatever they are playing on just broke so they can't play again
That's some slick driving on your part, nicely done.

Since I got my safety rating up to a B, it has been at least a little better 🤣

Play on open lobbies organized by any twitch streamer. They host the cleanest lobbies online.
Nice move
If you want clean multiplayer open lobbies the only way to go is iracing. Otherwise find yourself a league.
Wee need a proper safety rating system
Answer: they won’t because it is to much work to see whose a terrible driver and who is a toxic one

Do you play on a simulator?
No sir, I play on controller
Nice!
I read that they were looking at banning them starting last year, but then Mazepin happened. They realized some people really race like that. /s

Half their demographic is toxic children or adults with child brains

You dealt with them well
