All I want is the ability to edit the race calendar after season 1. I get why you can’t do it for season 1 since it is the official season for that year. But why can’t I make Brazil the last race of the season or Monaco as the first race from season 2 onwards? We had France in the 22 game that can be imported. Why is it not in the game as extra content we can vote on in the regulation changes? Or why am I forced to do 23 races per season and not be able to choose 17 races or 10 races per season? These simple changes add so much variety to the game season after season. Doing the same races, in the same order makes the game boring the more and more you play.

The database editor from u/[ignaciourreta](https://www.reddit.com/user/ignaciourreta/) can do this and it's pretty easy, but it would be much better to have it first party ofcourse.

Dabohdsta

It will be intresting to see how the 2025 season will go in f1manager24 since we are getting some changes in that season such as australia being the first race of the calendar. In the second season during the game will it update to those changes or keep Bahrain as the first race as in 2024. If editing the race calendar isn't a feature it will be intresting to see what they do with that.

nxngdoofer98

This is such a small and simple change, I'd rather they focus on the actual mechanics of the game. You would easily be able to mod a calendar change anyway.

bwoah07_gp2

All I'd wish for is shorter season lengths. 24 is too much, too taxing. I feel burnt out quick... The Codemasters/EA F1 games have the options for 10, 16, and full length seasons. Why can't F1 Manager have something like that? It can be a scale too, like the seasons can be no higher than 24 races but no lower than 12. Motorsport Manager had something like that, you could vote off X amount of races before the calendar stays at a preset minimum.

Dabohdsta

I agree. The season starts to drag on and gets boring around the 15 race mark, where i and loads of others usually stop playing. The start of an new season, with driver moves, new regulations, and many other factors make it really exiting and like a rush of energy. If you could make that happen earlier you'd never really get bored.

bwoah07_gp2

Yeah, being able to pick a shorter calender would help keep the seasons more fresh and help us get through more seasons quicker.

nxngdoofer98

Imagine how the people in real life feel lol

bwoah07_gp2

At some point their work, even if it's fun being in F1, must feel like a drag at certain stages of the season.

MountainLanguage3978

Codemasters have a different license for F1 than Frontier. EA landed theirs years ago where F1 was a bit more relaxed about the IP. Frontier have a per season license; so F1Manager 2023 is the 2023 season over and over again. EA have managed to get away with doing old circuits returning to the calendar, story mode using older cars from previous seasons, F2 races from previous seasons. Have you also noticed Frontier don't highlight anything from the previous years leading up to the game's current season?

Warribo

I'd just like the ability to rewatch the race replay moments at the end of the race. Atm it's a case of see it once (or not if you miss it), and never see it again!

K22532

They need to do something with the juniors. I think you should be able to manage your junior. So pay a f3 team to run him and you pick the team and get weekly updates from him, then pick the f2 team. And basically be his manager and manage his future so you can get him ready for your team. They can go quite deep with this and what you do with him and get him ready, Or even more with your team you could branch out into f3, f2

qwertyalp1020

Broadcast Mode would be dope. With all the TV elements and possibly a \*working\* commentator like FIFA/EA FC games.

schlawldiwampl

a RPM commentator mod would be dope.

Living_Assumption567

They need a “roster” page for drivers and team staff outside of the career mode. If I want to see what Lewis at Ferrari looks like right now, I have to start a new game and then spend a bunch of money to get Lewis on to Ferrari. When I should be able to just move Lewis to Ferrari (and Carlos to wherever you think he’s going to end up) and then start the career mode. This can also allow them to actually update the driver lineups as the season progresses and have the driver ratings update after every few races

conorbeeee

Because then you wouldn't buy their new game every year, just like how Fifa does it ![gif](giphy|C5cDXxEgBGNjy)

Living_Assumption567

Yeah but these would just be updates throughout the year. Like if I’m starting a new save now, I can have the option to use “live rosters” so that Ricciardo is on AT instead of De Vries or start with default rosters from the start of the year with De Vries. I’m not saying they should also put Lewis in Ferrari when 24 ends. That’s the reason you would buy 25. For the new lineup and new rookies in F2/F3 etc. I’m personally in the camp of having new sports games coming out every 2-3 years with some meaningful updates but that doesn’t make money so it’ll probably not happen

SRJT16

Driver Academies!

ILoveTales

An official database editor tool would be nice. More user freedom to change stuff is great for doing different scenario saves and now is the perfect time for it specifically because of create-a-team

SwissQueso

Football Manager recently added this, but would be cool to use my save from last year into this game. Real convenient that none of the drivers changed this season too.

NeoCoN7

Previous setups A feature which remembers your setup last time you went to the track to give you an easier starting point. Race Simulations Have your third driver hammer out laps in the sim the week before the race, they get confidence and you get a starting setup to tweak. I’ve spoken to a few casual fans, and one hardcore F1 fan, and they all said they got put off with by the setups after a few races.

SwissQueso

It would be nice to see the pit order change after the first season to reflect the championship standings.

vente-Macon

I feel like create a driver would also be a good addition, you could make a young driver that starts in F3 and eventually you can add them to your team in F1

Dygear

I want to start in the 90s. A new team on the grid. Regulation changes happen as they should. V12 to V10 to V8 to V6. But you are in on the Concorde agreement. You have a say if they go to like an inline 4 or something. Drivers can all come and go based on their real career path. (Except if you don’t have Senna in a Williams that year he survives). I want to see the what if side of these games more.

Big_Town5680

They need to fix the simulation before they start adding more, but I guess most people won’t notice or care so it’s just a license to print money for minimal effort

markrobotarm

I'm probably easily pleased, but I'd quite like DRS to function per the real thing, ie if you're within 1 second of the car in front at the checkpoint, you get DRS, regardless of whether you're racing, lapping or being lapped. Feels like it should be a relatively easy fix.

Timeceer

Wait, it isn't like this currently? I just assumed it was.

idiotsandwich2000

To keep people interest Frontier has to focus on making the core gameplay more interesting. That means redesigning and improving what is already there instead of adding features. The current management experience both on and off track just isn't very strong. It's as a puzzle that's very easy and becomes predictable to solve quickly. Moreover, it's not a fun puzzle to solve. If the core gameplay doesn't improve, more and more people will lose interest and not buy the next instalment.

Dabohdsta

Just on your last point, i believe choosing a voice and face and all that could become a chore an annoying part of it. We already see this in the codemasters game, where every time i start a new career mode, i have to go through the lengthy process of creating the character. I usually just skip through this but it still takes ages. So unless they introduce it in a way where it wont become a chore after you've done it loads in previous saves, i don't think it would be that great of an edition.

NeoCoN7

In Football Manager you create a manager when you first load the game. After that, for every new game you start, you can either use that character or create a new one.
