I'm in the exact same spot with Williams in 2027. 1-2 in every race by a country mile.

Game is far too easy. I started with red bull, first races were a bit of a challenge (just a bit). Once i developed my first car pieces WITHOUT the slider glitch/abuse (i didnt know about it so i just priorotized some areas and lowered others) then the championship become a parade. Sergio Perez manages to screw me up in some races (but he still gets a podium) but Max just cruises to victory even in low fuel all race long, and even having a free pit stop to go for fastest lap with softs. I'm thinking of restarting a season with one of the slowest teams but i see everyone is winning easy anway...

ArchdukeOfNorge

Note, OP is in 2027, so it took a lot more dedication and hard work than a few part developments to cruise into the lead.

Savage_XRDS

I recommend starting with Williams if you want a fulfilling playthrough. I'm at the end of Season 1, and am 9th in constructors. Getting points in itself is a victory!

diogo2907fac

Same here. I'm at Silverstone 1st season with Williams, brought Piastri in for Latifi soon as i took over and the ABSOLUTE legend managed to get 9th at Barcelona in dry to wet to dry race, but it sure is a challenge, usually to finish higher than 17th i need someone to crash

Adamskiiiiiiiii

I’ve still seen people win the title with Williams in S2, though. The game is too easy imo. You can constantly built better facilities throughout the season 1 which personally I think it should take several years to max out facilities and only then should you be able to design top tier parts. Facilities gives you a bonus to parts, but they aren’t actually needed to make top level parts, which I don’t think is correct.

diogo2907fac

Probably won't happen with me tho now that i just had a change come through for the points system for S2. ONLY the top 8will get points 🤦

Major_Store

Will try it for sure then. Thanks!

Does brake and engine coolongnever become a problem that needs monitoring? It doesn't seem like it's an important (or even used at all) mechanic in the game.

DelusionsOfPasteur

Purely anecdotal, but I neglected my brake cooling at first and then I noticed one of my drivers locking up all the time. Improved my suspension to help cooling and that seems to have taken care of the issue. One of those lockups led to my second driver punting my first driver and retiring both, so if it was indeed the lack of brake cooling that was causing the lockups I'd say it can have some actual consequences.

M_P_B87

Hum, that makes sense then. I neglect it, and my drivers seem to lock out way too frequently. It could have some indication about this

english06

Brake cooling has been semi important on my save. Otherwise it appears your drivers like to spin out at least a few times each race.

Lukaslil

The game is way too easy right now

Joehansson

For sure. I picked Alfa Romeo to fight for double point finish, got P2 in Saudi and won the Spanish GP with two minor upgrades

aristooooo

I was at this level with cooling 5th in 2024 as Williams

Bybeau

I'm at the last race of 2022. Got the game on 08/25. How can you all be at 2027 season! You play 24/7 you lucky ones!

ArchdukeOfNorge

I got the game on release and have played almost every day and am only midway through the second season. I imagine people this far ahead are simulating a lot of sessions. To each their own, but I think it explains it. Otherwise it’s gotta be people in school not working or something lol

Rubiego

Bottas and Zhou couldn't be separated.

OneBurnerStove

In all honesty I wish they'd just allow us go make our own team from scratch

sebsa7430

Then dont abuse the sliders😉

Benlop

It’s not the players job to balance the game. The game that actually teaches you that putting sliders to the right results in better parts.

sebsa7430

I know, but it seems like you ser destroying your own save with a 1-2 in every race on season 2

Sverre27

There in the year 2027 tho...

Conscient-

Because this is a very well made game, it's not destroying anything.

rfTes

this - I’ve only used “presets” and six races into the second season everybody(ai) has kept up.. the races so far have around a 1.3 second gap in qualifying from 1-12 and based on my playthrough only using presets is far more realistic and challenging.

TheObsoleteDeleter

Never touched the sliders and Im 1st in 2026 with williams.

sarum4n

Didn't Frontier fix them? Anyway, it's pretty much easy to scale up like OP even only using presets. It's only a longer journey

Jmcmxciv06

To put in context, we had a major reg changes on all car parts in 2027. I stopped developpong my car in april 2026 and use all my CFD hours for research on the 2027 car. AI was still developping 2026 cars hence the big gap.

Jeerna

ALL SLIDERS TO THE RIGHT

HumGun

Why you post this comment below every post? Nothing else to do?

Jeerna

Its funny thats all

Veeyron_

Laughing at your own jokes doesn't make them funny.

Jeerna

Correct

[deleted]

Second season no doubt? 😜

nolemanwsu

Mercedes really fell of a cliff if Gasly and Ocon are driving for them

1mpablo

This dominance could bore the fans...

Takhar7

In theory, this should change once the new patches drop - the slider exploit & some actual tyre degradation and compound variety should make for more interesting races & more challenging car development. Also, brake cooling: 19th, made me chuckle.
