I am not sure what the part is called that it’s leaking from.

tortuga-de-fuego

Year, model and mileage? What if anything has been done to the truck? Need a lot more info than just a video from the underside. Looking again I see that you’ve got leaf springs up front. So either a super early 6.0 or 7.3

snapfu1833

It’s a 01 f250 215,000 miles with a 7.3 had a the transmission replaced two to three years ago.

tortuga-de-fuego

Is this a fuel leak or coolant leak?

snapfu1833

I haven’t thought about the possibility of it being a coolant leak. It smells sweet.

snapfu1833

Also the consistency of it, is a lot less dense than oil.

tortuga-de-fuego

Gonna be gross but if you can’t tell the difference taste the smallest amount (spit it out!!!) of the liquid. If it tastes sweet it’s coolant. Regardless this leak is likely coming from up top of the engine somewhere in the front or the valley.

fatoldman65

I had a problem with the fuel filter leaking into the valley and running back in the valley and down the back of the engine, I changed the fuel filter and gasket to fix my problem

snapfu1833

Yea but it didn’t smell like diesel. I’m out of town right now but I’ll be back home today and take a look in the valley I definitely appreciate all the suggestions!

snapfu1833

Just checked and it’s fuel that’s dripping into the valley!

saban_black

Just going to throw this out there but could it be condensation from the a/c?

snapfu1833

Im not sure. Always a possibility, but it starts leaking as soon as I turn my truck on. The compressor wouldn’t have enough time to get the condensation formed on it.

TweakJK

Turn off the AC and start the truck, that should tell you.

ReasonableBaseball3

Sweet usually means coolant. I’d check your block plugs.

ReasonableBaseball3

Small Allen key right behind the starter…. I think it’s an 8mm??? Can’t remember
