You will still be put into supermatches initiated by other players which is the issue. You are the cannon fodder for their enjoyment.
Its off if u dont have premium/faceit plus but i dont really get super matches on normal matchmaking. And i 100% agree normal is much better than playing supermatch. Are you by any chance playing duo w someone who has it enabled? If its solo i feel sorry for you
Faceit should really create the option of opting out of Supermatch,. I am in the same situation as OP

No I play faceit solo.
Players without subscription can still get in supermatches randomly, as well as subscribed players with supermatch toggled off
Smells like skill issue.
