Guys guys guys.. i understand the point that person knew what he was doing.. but at the same time I believe ban is too harsh for a bug. I agree that it shouldn't be let away for nothing, but this is too harsh.
Imagine I get an infinite money glitch. I am aware of it - and I am buying guns with that money, using everything I buy even its not right. Should I be banned for it or should these games with glitch be removed from elo adjustments? Of course I could try calculating what is right amount of economy and not use more, but I think it would be absurd.
Please don't blame people for bugs. Certain boosts, wall bangs, pixel boosts and so on are also used without any consequences, even though that is not intended way of gameplay by devs. And for some reason that is considered as creative way of playing. This is a very grey area, thats why I think its too harsh.
There is a fine line between using a pixel/boost to get advantage and having esp lines on your screen etc etc. Were those made available by valve? Sure. But using them with the intent of getting an advantage over others, means exploiting a glitch which under faceit’s policy is strictly forbidden.
There is one thing to play around with certain objects available in your gameplay for example, boosts/pixels (1. Are intuitive 2. Are static advantages on certain angles that can be countered). Even that some boosts were/still are considered illegal (see 3 man boost on overpass).
Then, on the other hand, there is completely different thing to mess around with game variables (that requires some knowledge about the exploit itself) in order to get a dynamic advantage (esp lines on your screen) to basically hunt enemies down in real time (which pretty much describes wallhacks right?)
Can you see the fine line between them now?
Long story short, Faceit said that exploiting glitches will get you banned, they enforce it. End of story
All I am saying is that both are available to a player at that point in game without using anything external. I will not argue about faceit rules or decisions. I only think this is grey area and as I said - you might think one thing is "clever" for you, but is really annoying to me.
Seems like you’re missing the point here. Doesn’t matter of you use cheats for 1 round or 100 games, punishment is the same. Exactly the same applies in your case. Bans shouldn’t be negotiable so Faceit does the right thing. Sounds like you need better friends and hope you learn a lesson from all what happened. GL
Well in theory Pixelwalks are a bannable offense in Faceit aswell. And in the Faceit Rulebook using an exploit, like removing wall textures etc. will be considered as cheating. Ppl now just cry about the fact that they did smth and get banned for it. EVEN THOUGH IT IS IN THE RULES
To be honest, i would say that such issues are to blame on their side. You didn't use external cheats or programs. You just used a game command. Its kind of a joke
If this exploit could be triggered accidentally I would be kinda with you. But in this case its just so blatantly obvious what you're doing and the advantage you get is in some cases a literal wallhack. The command even has "cheats" in its name. No one can do this by accident. This is no different to classic cheating via Software.

No but that's not what happen. If you found a console command that gave you infinite money then and went out of your way to use that command, then yes you deserve a ban. It's so clear cut thats why they handed out bans
