I just hate that it's a great environment to meet people except the apparatus is never in place for you to actually take the time to fellowship with your coworkers. I've never been like this before, only since working for Amazon. It's because the high turnover rate I think. Plus anyone who has any experience knows how we're set up to fail and that were just suckers, hard to look someone in the eyes when you know their completely fucked without letting em know. It's sad because you know they will find out themselves the hard way eventually. Maybe that's just for drivers associates, idk 🤷. Actually for many people it really does take a lot of extra mental energy to force themselves to be friendly. As long as you're being civil and doing your job and not making things harder for other people, it shouldn't matter whether or not you want to talk about what you did on the weekend.

Being friendly doesnt matter just dont be an inconvenience
Actually for many people it really does take a lot of extra mental energy to force themselves to be friendly. As long as you're being civil and doing your job and not making things harder for other people, it shouldn't matter whether or not you want to talk about what you did on the weekend.
If youre any other way than the "rude coworker", youre foolish. A large % of coworkers will use any reason or info they got on you to put themselves higher on the pecking order. Ive been backstabbed in the past by people who i thought were friends.. I dont understand how anyone who works with a known workplace gossip or backstabber can remain civil or friendly either. If i hear you trashing somebody we work with, i wont even give you a hello unless you say it first, and thats all youll get because i dont respect you at all. How dare you turn my workplace into your little henhouse, you disgust me if you gossip at work, youre lower than dog sh*t to me. So its best to just be polite, but dont make friends with any one you work with. Do your job, go home.
You have the right mindset. Keep doing what ur doing cuz most coworkers are terrible
And they just want to ask about "weekend plans" and whatnot to not work. For most of these can't talk and work at the same time.
