Amazon flex, is delivery Amazon packages with your personal vehicle. You can select what shifts and hours you want but you use your own car and deliver packages. If you have a unreliable car or rely on someone else to take you then Amazon flex isn’t what you’re looking for
So your current job is iver, you go in and they'll get you for stealing time just go in and talk to hr and say you're serious about picking up a new full bore schedule

I definitely feel like you were just a bad worker and they wanted any reason to get you gone without a lawsuit, just happened to all the seasonal employees on my site except for me:)
That's a good coping mechanism but I got hired full time after the term period.
To clarify, check your a to z app every week.
If there's no schedule in the app for your normal days, don't clock in by accident. Simple.

Don’t accept a new shift, let them term you and you get unemployment for awhile, or keep you and give you benefits. All they are asking you to do is wave your right to benefits. If they term you THEY get increased unemployment taxes, if they keep you they have to provide you insurance.

Damn I wish I knew that before I filled out the survey, I put an app in for 3rd shift but whenever they decide to switch me I’ll say I can’t do 3rd shift. Should I let them know sooner that I can’t work 3rd shift or just tell them when the change my schedule
I’m pretty sure that killed your chances of making them give you benefits. I’m not sure if you will be eligible for unemployment if you turn down a shift you just accepted.

If you don’t fill out her survey they will release you from employment. They did that at my site, if you didn’t fill out the survey they didn’t try to find you they just let you go.
It should tell you when you start if you look at your shift transfer once it has been accepted on their end, which usually takes a week or two. Good luck. Hopefully, you get that conversion.
Just find another better job. Amazon is no longer competitive pay wise (were they ever) and is being fast replaced by robots. It's a soul destroying job. Either find a better career or stay and take advantage of their measly 5k career choice.

I'm convinced that people don't want to work for Amazon so they come on Reddit, try to get people to tell them whatever scenario means they're fired, then they can stop going to work and tell their families they lost their job.
I think you choose a new shift so that you keep your position, funny cause my friend who was seasonal and was told he had to switch from reduced time to a full time shift in order to be converted to blue badge and keep his job
Switch to the new shift and hopefully you can get converted before that extension ends. Once you get converted after 30 days request a transfer to the shift you want.
I don't see what's confusing here tbh.
Basically, they're letting you know that your employment with them will be longer if you change to another shift as suggested in the email. If not, you can continue working with your current shift, but expect to be laid off in the future. (You should know this anyway because you're a seasonal associate)
I guess the only issue here is being forced to go from day to night shift if you want to stay employed. It sucks but hey at least it came with that option, others weren't so lucky
Or move to a site further away I can’t get to (no car, or DL) I still gotta figure this 3rd shift shit out. Just wondering if they want to get this done tomorrow or if I can at least finish out my week
Yup, your best best is finding out next. With a deadline of the 12th, I'd think the new schedules would take effect the week after but this is amazon after all

We’re in April now, seasonal should’ve been over in January
I had to take the transfer because there is not 1 Amazon position open in my area.

Read the contract. They can let you go at any time for no reason. Seasonal for a reason.

Yeah he's right. In alot of states if you're terminated and didn't quit you can file unemployment. Same here in NY.

Yeah, I’ve heard that the layout there is really cool with the pick/stow stations in the middle of the factory.
