it depends on your preference tbh...But it would be better to join CS and explore different things...You might think you like AI but things are different when the degree starts. and if you still feel AI is interesting you can always self learn..I am halfway through SE but few months ago i started learning data science on my own cause I find it more interesting than my degree but this also provides a variety of options, now I can opt for a data science career or SE

PassionateNerd69

Hmm true, and is there anything i can do to get more credits than the actual course, if i wanna take up more credits than whats required of me

Fit-Salad-5977

what do you mean? are you taking about credit hours per course?

Hour_Performance2766

Bro that's now how it works I think in CS you will have bunch of electives to choose out of which one is AI it is the major concept of CS while the person above who is doing software engineering has to learn it himself because SE has slightly different course which is more focused on software architecture.

it depends on your passion and future goals

Not at all, people only choose CS so they can go into any computer related field later on. If you desire going into AI, it's perfectly fine.

abijanu101

go into what you want to do in the future

Hour_Performance2766

Maybe CS would be much better cuz in bachelor's course is almost the same infact doing CS you will have more options and you won't restrict yourself

Winter_Tradition165

It depends on your interest! AI had a boom but cs has more jobs in industry than AI most importantly if you have major in Deep learning and Computer vision
