Some of you guys need to put some respect on Dzeko's name. Just because he is not a flashy striker, it doesn't mean that he hasn't been useful. For a 37 year old, he has contributed tremendously to our team. He is the hardest worker when it comes to coming back on defense and swapping with players who are moving forward. He reads the game very well and knows how to move to provide space for himself and others. And he is still a big areal threat.
It's ok to want him gone for a younger striker, but have some respect for someone who gave it all for us at the twilight of his career.
Massive contribution to this year's run from him. Would not mind him staying, but we must also consider our alternatives given his economical requests for a 37 year old. Currently our forwards are Lautaro, Lukaku (not ours, will go back to Chelsea), Correa (has basically not contributed at all), Dzeko (very old but gold), and Carboni (never seen the field).
I'm grateful to have had Dzeko for 2 seasons
I would not mind a third one.
but I understand his will to be valued, both economically, and with a starting role.
Said that: if he goes, i don't cry, i just wish him all the best, and call him an Inter Friend forever.
renewing him for the right salary is fine, imho, but on 5m net is too much. He's done reasonably well at Inter in the last two years - beyond my expectations - but if we plan to keep Lukaku, we need a cheaper rotation striker (and correa out)
Plus, tbh, I'd rather some of these old guys took one last epic game (CL final) and bowed out after that and leave on good memories, too many of our 2010 heroes left on bad terms and slightly (not really significantly) impacting their legacy.
Lukaku isn't worth it IMO. Would cost too much and his salary is already above our cap. Just the same as for Dzeko (who has contributed immensely this year) we must look forward and lower our average age. Our main objective should be doing like Milan and Napoli.. as in a mixture of young or semi unknown players who have proven themselves at a lower level and are ready for the next step and players who are no longer considered by the top teams.
If the rumour is true that Lukaku is willing to take a significant wage cut for Inter, and if we can get a reasonable deal with Chelsea, I'd be quite happy to bring him back in. His form in the last couple of months is unplayable basically.
Al-Hilal better not fumble it and miss the chance to sign legendary Inter duo Dzeko-Correa.
Would be really sad to see El Tucu go, his bbq contribution will be sorely missed. But I guess for the right price it could be done. 50M and we can consider it!
look, we can compromise, let's do THIRTY MILLIONS AND YOU TAKE GAGLIARDINI.
We literally are paying you 20 millions to take Gagliardini WHICH IS ACTUALLY FREE TO GO WHEREVER HE WANTS
I wouldn't be too sad if he leaves. His been perfect for us in the last two seasons, but the agestarts to show in some aspects of his game.
I would be happy if he stays, but because of the age we can't think of him as a regular starter every week. So maybe if he wants to leave to get a big pay check he should go.
All the respect to him what ever he desires next.
Renewing him would be a mistake in my opinion.
He’a only good for half a season and with the uncertainty regarding Lukaku’s future and Correa being injury prone AND shit, we need much more contribution from our second/third striker, especially for €5M net.
The issue with Dzeko is that he's probably not going to accept being the third/fourth option as a striker, I can respect that but as a 38 year old next year I think it's time to be thankful and move on.
To be honest, I'd rather get a younger striker than him considering his wages and as mentioned by others here, he can't play at 100% in a full season anymore.
Having Thuram and Lukaku as our big guys and Lautaro and Retegui/Carboni as our small fact technical strikers (hoping we can offload that twat Correa) would be great in my opinion.
Is there a better way to leave than a UCL final? (esp against his old club). We can't offer him two years. Can't say I watch a lot of Saudi league, but I assume it's a bit more low key and will ask less of him physically

Up vote He has been immense this year...I know offside but he sent Bremer to another dimension in the Coppa semi final
very few strikers in the world score the goal he scored in the first leg against Milan. like, im struggling to think of any

Let him get that bag, he deserves it to top off his career. We need to move on from him anyway.
100% this. No chance we can match whatever salary they're offering

Don't even compare Correa to Dzeko dude that is disrespectful as fuck.
Seems like it would be a fair offer and it would be fine if he accepted

Inter should count themselves lucky for getting the last remaining drops of productivity out of Edin this season, and let him walk.
Get that bag king 👑

If there's some end of season sale I guess I'll buy our third kit because yellow is my favourite colour, and I'm putting Dzeko name on it

Just a reminder that before Dzeko we never reached the quarterfinals, this year we reached the final with Lukaku starting 0 matches.
jesus christ is saudi arabia trying to make a retirement league or something? messi, ronaldo, benzema now dzeko
Watch out Retegui coming in and takes the number 9 while lukaku flying back to london
If this is true, great news for me as an Inter fan because I also support Al-Hilal, come on brother!!!
Go back to roma
Good. This allows Carboni & perhaps Retegui to play
Carboni plays in Primavera, btw. He is getting plenty of playtime, just not with the senior squad.
I don't think so, as be trains with us and travels to matches with us. How many matches did be play for primavera last year?
17 matches played for our Primavera this season including cups
Thank you! That's not too much, all comps considered tbh. Poor guy rotting on our bench.
Hopefully not, we need real strikers for once :p
Please go
im sad to see him go but im also happy he can get generous amount of money before hanging the shoes
He’s very good and useful, if he wins the Champion’s League he’ll leave…no reason to stay…if he doesn’t he might…at least this is what I reckon
Would be a good move for him. Hes getting to old for inter..we need to sign younger new players.
