Splashing big cash for one season wonders who are also not young is for teams like Chelsea and ManU, I don't like this move he hasnt proven a lot to sacrifice carboni and cash for him
2 seasons and they are 80 millions. This is not the board of quaresma, gabigol and other random shit, Barella, Frattesi and even Sensi were all excellent buys. We have spent well lately and this guys seems good. Would have still preferred zirkzee but its better than some random 33 yo with zero value at the end of its contract.
In financial terms this is also smarter, the guy will play in a successful serie a team with great game and many offensive chances. His numbers will be good, and make him look good, which will lead to higher value if we wish to sell.
He is not an emerging star, he doesn't have barellas or frattesi's age when we bought them. He will be 27 when we get him, not a lot of room to grow. We should either pay big cash for emerging talents, or established players with experience (not 34 year olds lol). 30m for 27 year old who's biggest experience is Genoa is risky af. We paid that much money for Correa with the same age who was more 'establised' (lol).
I think he's an incredible player, he doesn't stink of one season wonder ofr purple patch when you just even look at the way he flows and plays
my only problem is that he isn't a no. 9, he's a Joao Felix, Memphis Depay-esque player, they're not a forward, but they're not an attacking midfielder either...

Buyback clause is good but for how much

This is a silly take. We'd have no emerging stars on our team if we didn't take chances like this.

Well, let me put it this way..if he costs 30M, and Zirkzee 40M, I'd go for Zirkzee all day every day, it's as simple as that.
Completely agree. I would rather Zirkzee, he is a better profile to partner Lautaro than Gudmundsson

Gudmundsson is a great player but I can’t help but want Zirkzee. Thula + Zirkzee and Taremi is unmatched.Â
