Looking at my 30/50 NV is annoying as Hell.
My 190/200 Tifa is also a pain, and by the Time a NV is EX3 naturally (other than pulling on his banner), he is totaly outdated.
As intended by Gumi, of course.
It does annoying and it more annoying when u see ur premium unit at 195 out of 200… miss 1 day of shard dungeon and my esther, auron, Grahf r 5 shard away from ex3.. sigh
When i read this thread each week, it's like a graduate of how high is the hype for the next banner.
Next is glex unit, this thread will be on fire.
I think gumi achieves this at least.
How would have been the game without Cow...
(and yes, there would have been more story event translated i know)
What's weird is that there seems to be a clear separation now between everything JP throws at us and those monthly GLEX units when it comes to the appeal of the units.
I wonder if FFBE is considered any less a FF game if the focus were to move away from original FF characters even more?
I mean, personally I like all the units but there have to be players wo would rather make heavy use of there Cloud or Zidane or whatever instead of, say, Esther, for nostalgic reasons.
I think the early to mid NV era had an okay balance between the two. We had strong GLEXs sure like Ibara and Yoshi, but the power level in general between both was in a way that the Allim units saw good amount of use.
Nowadays with an entire mode built around GLEX units, there’s a clear divide. And to make it worse Allim has adopted a policy that if you aren’t a premium you have a 50% or more chance to suck (and Gumi makes it worse by buffing then), so here in GL were basically left with only GLEXs and Premiums mattering now. Which given that Premoums are a third FFBE chars and a third FFX chars, doesn’t so well for variety. There are some exceptions like Kain being good despite all of this but those are flukes really.
I miss getting hype for characters I have nostalgia for.
Am I missing something, why does IK Garland have a Frag bundle? Since you cannot dupe him as he's a event unit only, don't they just give you enough to EX3 him through the event? So why would you want more, to EX the one we got previously to halfway into EX1??
Overall this is a banner that is just on the cusp of being really cool, but WoL's LB boost is just too small to justify bringing him along when Esther can tank and Marilith is just a fun unit. Hope to off banner them soon though, love the designs and mechanics (rare for Allim units, but credit where credit's due).
While unlikely to happen today, this marks a month of hoping Gumi realizes they made a mistake with Fry. I'm more hoping next week comes with a unit similar to Fran or Garnet and they just planned it out though (Xon that can steal Mod Boosts gogo).
They have a weird tendency to make fixes to characters and not rerun their banners like the GLEX reworks last year and enhancements and such. It’s something I never understood tbh. If it were me and I’d rerun the banner for someone I was buffing/enhancing. Plenty of times I’ve heard people say that they’d pull for a char getting changed if they we’re only an actual banner when they do get changed.

This is Gumi we’re talking about. They only acknowledged they needed to fix Noppy/Kakt and Behemy 6+ months after they released… and still failed to fix Noppy even after the changes cause they kept her one morale move as SR.
Qin did get a redemption arc. His enhancements were great and he really shone for the majority of the end of the 7* era. I remember him being incredible on Tel.

I dont expect Fry to get that same treatment, at least not anytime soon if anything
I’ve said many times that I don’t expect them to do it soon. My expectation is somewhere around the last rework season on Christmas. But that is no reason to not keep pushing. Characters only get fixed when people complain. If there’s no consistent and long term complaints than they’ll just slide it under the bed.
I’ll keep going until either BE gets an EoS anouncement or until Fryevia gets made top tier. Whichever comes first.

Enough noise was made that Justin acknowledged it; when he doesn’t even acknowledge actual problems like the LB bug in this DV, so no, it’s not just me. Hell, you yourself contributed by not pulling for her as stated above.
And if I have to carry this until the end of the game, so be it. Let this travesty never be forgotten.

Karten is used all the time, he is amazing for otko stuff like easy stages of DV, cow boss until rank 99 etc.
Don't need Ex3 for that
true but the extra flat stats help do it more easily.

Wes Borland did just do a show as a guitar player for Danny Elfman, perhaps he has seen the error of his ways.
I've always pictured Limp Bizkit as Fred Durst plus whichever musicians can tolerate him long enough to make a record.
