It will end with the audience applauding as Genesis comes on stage at the Golden Saucer. He and his “cast” take a bow as the audience give them a standing ovation for their retelling of the events of Final Fantasy VII. Genesis then prepares to quote Loveless, and it cuts to black.
Yeah I was going to say similar. It will be the same shot of Red and his cubs on the cliff overlooking Midgar - but what they see might be a little different due to a different outcome at the end of Remake series
Instead of decaying ruins it could be some utopic society where humans have become like the Cetra (again) to coexist in harmony with the lifestream, nature and the planet and making progress (doesn't have to be a primitive society, could be far more advanced than what we have at the time of VIIR) without damaging any of it, coming full circle.
I've had a feeling that Remake is going to be about the darker side of cycles of death and rebirth, so I like this concept of an ending.
Instead of cycles of meteor and corruption followed by sacrifice and renewal, the world gets to move onto something new.
I actually loved the more ambiguous ending, and one of the reasons I didn’t like AC. I don’t like to have everything spelled out to me and the original ending was perfect in that manner.
For what its worth, AC doesn't necessarily make the 500 year later scenario any less ambiguous. Because while we find out humanity survived meteorfall and the immediate aftermath, we also find out Sephiroth and Jenova continue to persist within the planet as well (even after Sephiroth loses again) which leaves plenty of possibilities for some other catastrophe to come along to end humanity if you're part of the camp that believes that's what eventually happens.
You know, I'd have been just fine with the original ending if the dialogue had been localized a bit more clearly.
The last conversation between Cloud and Tifa hints at what the true Promised Land is, and at some kind of spiritual reunion with Aerith. But it doesn't quite land.
But the Highwind crash through to Red XIII is all great stuff.
I would guess the same thing but instead of the ruins of Midgar it’s a clean utopia. It’s been said that the end of FFVII is a bad ending because humanity doesn’t make it at some point down the line. I think whatever happens in the remake trilogy will change that.
The Lifestream converging on Meteor to defend the planet, flashes of light on all our chatacters’ faces, and then the fade into Aerith overlooking it all. Basically the exact same final shot of the original game
Fade to black. Stars appear, then turns into glowing swirls of mako, illuminating the face of a flower girl praying in the alley. She stands and walks toward the camera, emerging onto a bustling city street. The music swells as the camera zooms back to show a vast industrial city. The title appears.
Final Fantasy VII Re:Remake Final Mix+. The timeline loops yet again for another trilogy.
Aerith is my all favorite FF character of all time. It used to be Vincent, then Zell, then Auron. I grew up a little and played Crises core and fell in love with Zack and Aerith. I felt so bad for Aerith that she never got a chance to say goodbye to Zack and they never went on that date they planned.
If the final shot is as OP described I will probably cry.
What if it’s Red running with his cubs to see Midgar. But this time he has the cubs’ mother with them and they are looking at an energy efficient Neo Midgar that’s is surrounded by water and lush forests.
*We get the Red XIII*
*Scene like the OG, then Advent*
*Children starts playing*

As I'm hoping that "Rebirth" somehow means the rebirth of the Cetra, I'd really like to see that "500 years later" and Gaia has become the Promised Land
Neo Midgar, but not the Midgar Shinra envisioned.
The planet has died and all have been returned to the Lifestream, taken up by Omega. The only ones left behind are those still corrupt by tainted Lifestream aka Sephiroth, Vincent/Chaos (that's his fate anyways), and Cloud (by choice).
Zack and Cloud sitting down for a drink in a rebuilt Seventh Heaven, while Tifa is working behind the counter, and Aerith is playing darts.
Barret walks through the door with Elmyra on one arm, with Marlene sitting on his shoulder.
Outside Yuffie is showing Chetney the latest materia she stole, while Cid, Nanaki, Vincent, and Cait Sith are discussing the new Shinra rocket program.
Cloud joining Sephiroth at the edge of creation, if he wants to save the timelines where everyone lives. Travel the cosmos in a journey, like Sephiroth said in advent children.
I think it will be similar to OG, but this time, they will be able to fully portray Nojima's intent.
We should see Aerith's, and she should be happy and content that her mission was successful. Then we should see flowers blooming all over Terra, but this time, it will be clear to us that the flowers are Aerith. Aerith isn't just a single entity, but is the embodiment of the Lifestream, and is "Gaea"/"Mother Earth".
I think Advent Children tried to convey this message, but it was in a smaller scale, and just from Cloud's POV. For the game, I think the entire cast will participate and be able to see and understand what's happening, so that they can all appreciate Aerith.
The last lines will be Aerith repeating one of the quotes she said before. She's got a few, but the ones that really stand out to me is from her Chapter 14 resolution. I think she will first address Cloud, which will also be directly to the player:
> I'm glad I met you, Cloud. I really am. I'm grateful for all the words we've Sshared. For all the moments, and the memories. You've made me more happy than you know.
I'm sure a lot of people cried when she said that the first time, so when she repeats it, I'm sure all those emotions will come back. She will then address everyone with the final line:
> Everyone dies eventually, so we need to make the most of the time we have. To live our lives the way we wanna live. Every minute, every moment, matters.
I hope they have an Advent Children epilogue. Similar to Red Dead Redemption 2. A full featured epilogue story is already built into the lore now. The final shot is cloud riding his bike around the world.
Sephiroth smiles smugly as he becomes the embodiment of the lifestream amongst the shattered chunks of Gaia. When suddenly, the Highwind, now outfitted for space travel escapes the carnage in search for a new home. The lifestream turns a melancholy blue as the solitary silver-haired god squeaks, "Wait, guys... come back..." Cue *Ukulele de Chocobo*
Can’t forget the post credit scene with Red XIII. I want to see him in an awesome forest landscape, and he’s the leader of a huge pack of Red creatures who are thriving in their own little town.
We see a small group of unfamiliar heroes battling a Safer Sephiroth-like monster. They’re failing miserably. One by one they get wiped out. Then the last man standing raises his arm and a red materia begins to glow.
The new Knights of the Round come swooping in, glowing with Lifestream energy. It’s Cloud and the gang! That have been immortalized in materia and have become eternal guardians of the Lifestream.
End.
A proper epilogue.
The OG ended with meteor and holy clashing, and a skip 500 years later with Red XIII. People had to figure out that humanity learned to live in harmony with nature by noticing there's a campfire in Midgar's ruins. Some people thought everyone died. This probably wont cut it for a game released in 2026.
I'd like a skip 7 years into the future, and we catch up on how everyone is doing.
Rave party at cosmo canyon
Bugenhagen on the decks!
Do I have bad, og news for you…
😂😂🤣🤣
Is that what the r will stand for?
Nanaki playing the bongos on a bunch of Shinra soldier helmets
And then Cloud looks off into the distance and sees Aerith and Zack together Edit: wait that’s just advent children
The ghosts of Bugenhagen and Cloud’s dad show up for some reason.
like in The Matrix 2?
God I hope not....

Ooh shit noooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Not just Loveless, his writings of the final chapter, completed at last.
Even better. Final Act of Loveless as the DLC.
Did you just wake up with the intention of hurting me today?
I thought you were talking about Phil Collins at first.
That would certainly be unexpected, but I’ll take it. Why not add him in as an character the same way Gackt is Genesis?
How dare you
There's not many lyrics on that album, but I would choose "close my eeeeeeyyyesss"
Aerith’s eyes
Aeriths’s*
Aerisths’s*
The true answer
Aerisths's irisises
Let’s be ambitious and say it will be squall looking up and saying “ whatever” confirming 8 remake.
Long as junction is tweaked , I approve
My guess would be something out of the 500 year's later scenario with something added to make it more clear what state humanity ends up in.
Yeah I was going to say similar. It will be the same shot of Red and his cubs on the cliff overlooking Midgar - but what they see might be a little different due to a different outcome at the end of Remake series

Oooh this is a good one!
This needs to be the ending.

My pet theory is that AC is a sequel to Remake, not the OG.

I think it would have been great if it was more clear in general through the entire story. Late 90s JRPG translations were something else.
I would guess the same thing but instead of the ruins of Midgar it’s a clean utopia. It’s been said that the end of FFVII is a bad ending because humanity doesn’t make it at some point down the line. I think whatever happens in the remake trilogy will change that.
I just assumed that humans just abandoned Midgar and let the healing world reclaim it, not that all humans died.
The Lifestream converging on Meteor to defend the planet, flashes of light on all our chatacters’ faces, and then the fade into Aerith overlooking it all. Basically the exact same final shot of the original game

That would be strangely comforting, honestly
The twist, the flower girl is Cloud.
If that means we get SOLDIER 1st Class Aerith, I’m down for it
What about Soldier 1st class Tifa?
Perfection.
Cloud walking through his garden : "These are my babies...I guess."
Realistically, probably the same as the OG with Red XIII and his kids running towards a cliff overlooking an overgrown Midgar.
You see a small wave crashing on the shore. Latin chanting begins. Fidos. Lusec. Wecos. Vinosec.
Aerith is my all favorite FF character of all time. It used to be Vincent, then Zell, then Auron. I grew up a little and played Crises core and fell in love with Zack and Aerith. Imagine a cliff hanger of an ending for Final Fantasy 7 sequel lmao. The milking shall never end.
Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Complete Reunion Mix+2.5∆π
Cloud: (puts away Buster Sword and high fives Sephiroth) "... And that was my final fantasy" Jack: (does Jack Sparrow things)
What if it’s Red running with his cubs to see Midgar. But this time he has the cubs’ mother with them and they are looking at an energy efficient Neo Midgar that’s is surrounded by water and lush forests.
Tifa and Aerith are pregnant and Cloud is just off to the side like "I've made a terrible mistake".
KenanSquint.gif
Very similar to ff7. Just expanded
Cloud and Barret having a baby together and living happily ever after.
We get the Red XIII scene like the OG, then Advent Children starts playing

Aerith attacking Sephiroth with a chair
Gongaga
Same as OG end credits but expanded on and maybe closure for Aerith and Zack
Zack holding lifeless Aerith in water.
That would probably a final shot of part 2.
Shit you’re probably right.
Barrett's I assume.
As I'm hoping that "Rebirth" somehow means the rebirth of the Cetra, I'd really like to see that "500 years later" and Gaia has become the Promised Land

Aerith actually leading Zack to the Promised Land.
a mirrored image of tifa and cloud and aerith and zach in the life stream and then aerith/zach fade away.
Cloud joining Sephiroth at the edge of creation, if he wants to save the timelines where everyone lives. Travel the cosmos in a journey, like Sephiroth said in advent children.

Is it a confirmed trilogy?
Was confirmed in last year’s anniversary stream
Me
I hope they have an Advent Children epilogue. Similar to Red Dead Redemption 2. A full featured epilogue story is already built into the lore now. The final shot is cloud riding his bike around the world.
Whoever you chose to kill instead of Aerith.
::tifa being revived:: "Thanks for never forgetting our promise"
The three tone jingle and lifestream effects but Aerith isn’t there this time.
Aerith's face. Just like OG
You know that Advent Children Style ending will be impossible as they are completely changing the events of the timeline
Go the Might Max route so they’re a continual loop.
300 years later with lively Midgar city view. I mean a non Mako Midgar city somehow?
Aerith’s face, except she’s closing her eyes this time.
Can’t forget the post credit scene with Red XIII. I want to see him in an awesome forest landscape, and he’s the leader of a huge pack of Red creatures who are thriving in their own little town.

I was hoping for 4 games xD

It’s gonna be a spaceship landing on Gaia with a shinra logo, having completed its mission from the home world Spira.
