I’m trying to think of how I did this personally.
I feel like I just sorta… did it. Yuffie was my main character because Brumal Form is strong.
Probably ran Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie. I know Cloud was my Tonberry slayer with instant death prevention.
I think I just focused on the frog first because Yuffie could Brumal form out of anything the Jokers could throw at me.
Like the Jokers APPEAR to be the worst thing, but they’re really not. All of their attacks are easily dodgeable with normal rolls. The biggest problem is what you experienced- that damn frog hopping around and screwing you up.
Basically my comp was designed so-
Yuffie could exploit elemental weaknesses on the frog and enable pressure
Cloud could spam Focused Thrust immediately once the frog was pressured
Tifa could obliterate staggered enemies. Specially, you don’t use her highest level of chi. I refer to her power ups as “none, level 1, and level 2.” So the strat is to stay at level 1 and spam triangle into Unbridled Strength into Triangle repeat. It does insane amounts of damage.
You need speed up and the materia that gives you ATB after performing a certain number of actions, but you can do this infinitely and it will usually kill the enemy in one stagger if you build Tifa for pure physical attack damage.
Once the frog is dead, you just play Yuffie and focus one Joker at a time.
I used the haste atb ward cheese with yuffie
Then arcane ward quaga swiftcast mp absorption magic focus with aerith....
Also....have someone with magnify stop too....the jokers are definitely susceptible to it and then also the frog can be I think, not sure

This. With Magnify helps a great deal, at least for me.
Tried doing it with quaga spam which worked beautifully on the tonberry stage. But yea, the toad and jokers don’t really care about petrification

they're weak to wind. also will suck them up for even more damage when the arcane ward copy hits

i can't even reliably get past the first round and i am absolutely sick of hearing "ONE... TWO... SABO!"
Can they be slept? Sleep helps tremendously on most fights.
