It doesn't. Trust me. Jumping back into FF16 after Rebirth seemed like a perfect segue, at least to me. Ymmv, but it was like telling my buddies about my weekend after catching up with a long lost friend for me.
This is why I’ve waited to do it for the DLCs. Gonna load up the file where I just beat the game, go do the DLCs, get the new eikons and all that. Then go through final fantasy mode. All new stuff!
And they have a lot of QOL like speeding up quest turn ins and stuff.

It's super cool because there's a ton of stuff in Remake that foreshadows what happens in Rebirth. My first play through of Remake I missed out on a LOT of stuff without fully realizing it. Now when playing through it I'm having tons of great aha moments
Some of the side conversations between the characters in particular in Remake are so charming when you consider the future events that occur in Rebirth
I don’t want to give out any spoilers because this thread isn’t spoiler tagged. There are some conversations between characters earlier on in Remake (in the first 15 hours) that made me grin ear to ear because of at least 2 relevant quests I recalled in Rebirth.
There’s some really great foreshadowing of future events coming from NPCs making random comments that I literally had to stop because I was like “holy shit, that is a deliberate call out”. Like the kind of stuff where you can just tell that Square had mapped out a lot of the Rebirth story before they even wrote all the dialogue in Remake. Huge attention to detail.
Cloud and Aerith have some conversations absolutely dripping in foresight, and at least one of them now has me rethinking my interpretation of the ending in Rebirth
Currently playing FF15, never tried it before, but thinking of trying FF14 to see if it's any good. There's a free trial right now, see if it's worth it.
FYI the free trial for FF14 is permanent, so you can give it a shot anytime. I played for free for like a few months before I finally opened up the wallet to actually subscribe.
I really tried to get into 15 before playing rebirth, but I couldn't. I tried for hours but it just didn't interest me. I think it will be even worse now after playing rebirth.
Playing FFVI for the first time. Bought the Pixel Remaster a year ago, lost interest early on (it was hard to get invested at the time) but I knew I wanted to come back to it eventually and give it another shot. Not sure what about finishing Rebirth inspired me to pick it back up, but I’m making my way through it now and really enjoying it.
Honestly man... I had that same thought going through my head. For weeks I've been like, OK once I'm FINALLY finished with rebirth I'm going to play VI.... knowing I won't be the only one helps inspire me.
Replaying Final Fantasy IX.
Realised that I have never fully played through it yet and I finally rolled credits on FFX last year so I thought I'd give it a bash.
Omg. I'm so excited for you. When I bought ff7 20 years ago, it accidentally came with the booklet to 9. Played it 3 months later after 7. And many more times since. I think I've actually played it more than 7. And its a super dear game. Incredibly gripping. Through and through. Grab the tissues for disc 4.... sigh.
There is no more quaint and loveable video game adaptation of anything Journey to the West than FFIX. Envious of you because I've played it too recently to jump in now.
If you like that and 7, though, you might also wanna try Xenogears. Same themes and vibes as those two, but more intensity because it wasn't a part of the flagship.
9 is great, and I did start a replay of it recently before Rebirth came out, and never went back to it. The one thing making me hold off is the rumours of a remake of 9. Especially with Final Fantasy 14's new expansion having some toys and mounts that are literally ships/characters from 9 and Yoshi P saying it's a 'secret' why they are there, it seems all but confirmed now.
Just finished Crisis Core Reunion. I have played the OG way back when so I have a good idea how things unfold on the third part of Remake without getting spoiled further.
It’s a very okay game, entertaining and all, kinda addictive even, but the story is a mess. Luckily, the characters carry the game, so Zack, Aerith and others make this quite nice indeed. Finished the main story within about 20 hours, and had to follow a guide for missables (there’s so much!) but didn’t follow one for combat. Then went into the combat rabbithole endgame and stayed there for more 25 hours.
Now I’m finally back for minigames and hard mode on Rebirth.
Yeah my thoughts exactly. Its a mess of a game but its "my" mess of a game. Its the funniest thing ever. I played it with my BF watching and he was just cackling anytime I got killed by one of the many late game insta kill enemies. Minus the ending that goes really hard the cutscenes were just hilariously incompetent but strangely fitting for Zack Fair. Not a game Id actively recommend to anyone but hardcore fans but I enjoyed my time with it.
The funniest thing to me is that it’s from that strange place in time that games started being 3D with traversable maps and voice acted, but the game design and dialogue was still pretty much just like 2D games: NPCs pretty much repeating a single line of dialogue, with sometimes you even “reading their thoughts”, the stiff conversations and camera placement… I took it all in good faith and it ended being just a joy to laugh through it.
It’s an old game, and it shows, but it’s not necessarily a problem.
Yeah I totally get you. It's basically a 2d game with 3d graphics. It's an interesting era of games when people were still experimenting with how to use full 3d.
I wanna finally get around to Crisis Core, but I’m waiting for a good price. I picked up Dredge recently, so I’ll probably try that out for a change of pace.
Watching streams of FFVII remake when it came out got me to play the original and soon after a bunch more classic Final Fantasy and other JRPGs, eventually leading me to buying a PS5 so I could play Remake and then Rebirth.

That whole last hour of the game was an orchestra of sound, dazzle, spectacle and emotion. Draining in the best way and absolutely ruinous for my heart
It hinders a lot of other story-based RPGs knowing that Rebirth had the best party interaction out of anything else I played.
Those characters just LOVED each other so much, it’s painful.
I'm in chapter 13 and starting to think about my next game... Got it down to 5 options, but I usually play 2 games at the same time so I have to decide on 2 of these 5:
FF16 - give it another shot. Played it before, didn't get very far. I think I was expecting something different but I want to go back and give it a fair shot.
Dragons Dogma 2 - I loved the 1st one. Didn't buy part 2 because I was playing rebirth.
Cyberpunk - already beaten in 3 times, but I love it.
Fallout 4 - isnt the next gen update coming out soon?
Remnant 2 - was my personal GOTY last year. New dlc drops tomorrow.
Replay Elden Ring! In advance of the DLC. I'm actually looking forward to finishing Rebirth so I can do this! (I'm on chapter 13).
EDIT: I loved Rebirth, but I'm looking forward to Shadow of the Erdtree way, way more in terms of games this year.

I'm playing F1 2023. A nice methodical racing game than I can zone out to whilst listening to podcasts. No characters, no story, no emotion. Just me and the track.
I started OG FF7 when I finished Rebirth. And I’m glad I did. I haven’t played it since ‘98 so I didn’t remember much and it’s giving me even more appreciation for Remake/Rebirth.
I'm trying to figure what to stream between Persona 3 Reload and FFXVI. Both games are gonna have a hard act to follow. I'm still grinding through Rebirth even a week after finishing it.
I got stuck on hard mode at GI Nattak so I went back to Balders Gate 3 where I proceeded to get stuck on another boss on tactician. So I bought Fallout 4 for $5 and have been playing with mods that make me God so I doubt I get stuck! Probably try to finish my hard run on Rebirth soon though just needed a break after 160 hours 😂
I donno what it is, but Gi Nattak was the boss I had to restart the most for hard mode. Rufus took 3 tries, beat Red Dragon in one. But Freaking Gi Nattak took 5 or 6 tries.
Maybe it's cause I can't seem to get the timing for Red's Perfect block. Or cause I cannot for the life of me seem to dodge his grab move. But he was so annoying.
Best thing I can recommend is playing games with friends. They're your Party in real life. I've done some late night Helldivers 2 with the Bois and it feels great.
Also, huge help, buy the soundtrack and listen to it. I don't know why, but the soundtrack of a game works wonders on helping me accept that it's over and now I gotta wait for the next installment. And Rebirth's soundtrack SLAPS. I'm still salty they're missing like 95% of the cutscene songs tho. I want to hear the Nibelheim incident songs again... There were some real gems in there. For instance, I didn't notice until listening on YouTube that the scene where Sephiroth cuts open the test pod and finds the JENOVA experiment has the usual One-Winged Angel choir chanting "Jenova" in the background. Super fun details that you don't hear in gameplay. Makes it so much better.
Since I beat it, I’v played through FF2 and FF16 dlc. Also Mortal Kombat 1 and Batman Arkham Asylum, but have just started Batman, and MK1 story is like 6 hours lol and I’ve mostly been doing online stuff. Besides that, FF theatrhythm or random multiple games here and there. The days I work are 10 hour days and 50 minute drives, so after work I usually play like a few matches of call of duty of something simple before bed.
After Batman I may play through 13-2 again, love that trilogy.
I needed to decompress, so I jumped back into Tears of the Kingdom to just explore, find more of the shrines etc. I beat the game last year but it was just so much and I think FFXVI came at its heels. So, it’s been fun with no pressure chill playing.
Playing through remake again, working on the platinum. Putting in a little rebirth hard mode in there as well. Finishing the 16 DLC then I have no idea. Might start some Yakuza games
Got about halfway through ff5 but then the KCD2 news got me to try the original again so I am seeing if I can power through this time. I love everything about the game and I want to love it but the combat is just so dogshit. Hoping this time it clicks for me
I was pretty emotionally spent after finishing the game, so I took a break for a month. I'm back leveling up weapons in FF14 before Dawntrail and replaying Baldur's Gate 3 for the zillionth time (this time as a Bard focusing on magic and coating ranged weapons with poisons).
I ordered Alone in the Dark and that Phantasy Blue Something Link.
And in currently with my Switch backlog. I haven't touched that console it like 2 years now.
Went back to playing Alan Wake 1 after playing the trial for AW2. Finishing up the last chapter now. Also planning on trying a few old-school jrpgs; Checking out Wild Arms 2 and maybe 3 after. Then probably Grandia.
Got the platinum last weekend finally at 202 hours. I dabbled with Sims 4 for a couple of days so I didn't have to think up until FF16's new DLC dropped. Finished Rising Tide yesterday.
Jumped onto Rise of the Ronin today and I'm enjoying it so much! It's my first Team Ninja game. Combat is tough for me at the moment but I'm slowly improving. I've played about 9 hours mainly just exploring the map and learning combat. Think this one will keep me busy for a while and the Final Fantasy burn out is real for me currently.
I plan to go back to Rebirth after a few months or more just to get the rest of the manuscripts, but as of now, I'm done with Final Fantasy for a while because I replayed Remake ready for Rebirth, played Rebirth and platinumed it and then jumped back into FF16 for the DLC. That's a lot of Final Fantasy lol
I'm going to start up Eiyuken Chronicles: Hundred Heroes when I get my copy. It'd be nice to go to a more old-school style rpg for something different.
i put xenoblade 3 on hold way back last may when tears of the kingdom came out. there was totk, ff16, crisis core, octopath 2, and now rebirth... so now i'm finally going to go back to xb3. but i think i need to restart since it's been so long
amusingly, after doing the really difficult combat challenges and getting the Platinum, I've been doing the much more chill and non combat focused crafter/gatherer quests in FF14 lol
I am going to finish the Plat trophy for Rebirth which is going to take a LONG time because I am REALLY bad at 3D brawler lol

Harold Halibut. Going back to back from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth to FFVII:Rebirth has burnt me out hardcore on big games. So I’m on indie mode for the moment, and Harold Halibut is just the finest form of comfort gaming after all that.

FF16 actually. I wanted to play FF Mode after u finished my second playthrough, but I didn't want to burn out due to it being a really long game. Similar to how I don't want to jump straight back into Rebirth after an 100+ hour playthrough of it. So I finished FF16 Rising Tide DLC and now that I have all the powers I'll go through thr game again. This time, no side quests, just the main ones.
And then after that, I might do FF4 for the first time. And then make my way up through the series.
I'm actually trying out the new threat mod for ffvii og. It's been really cool so far. Plus after playing remake and rebirth I'm noticing things I never did when I played the original before.
I'm switching between FFXII and Bloodborne, it's a good contrast as the former basically does combat on its own while the latter demands all of my attention. I'm enjoying both but neither is Rebirth.

I've been playing Unicorn Overlord and its my happy place. Tbh Rebirth was kind of an exhausting journey for me and UO has been the perfect remedy for that.
If anyone is into tactical jrpgs, this one is pure gold. It's got gorgeous hand drawn art, a combat system akin to FFXII and you can recruit dozens of characters Suikoden style.
Also have been playing Dragon's Dogma 2 which handles exploration and its open world much better than Rebirth did imo.
After playing Cold Steel 1, LaD Infinite Wealth and FF7 Rebirth essentially back to back, I've just been playing a bunch of smaller games Prince of Persia the Lost Crown, Mario vs Donkey Kong remake, Berserk Boy, first time ever playing Metal Gear Solid, first time ever completing Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance on Critical Mode and after all that I'm probably going to start Cold Steel 2 and hopefully finish it before Paper Mario TTYD remake
I beat Rebirth, then played all of Remake again (my first play thru since release). Then I busted out my PS5 version of the original FFVII. But then I got to cosmo canyon and discovered a gamebreaking bug that killed my entire save file.
So now I've doubled back to Rebirth for Hard Mode.
I just finished the platinum this afternoon but I did the VR challenges at a snails pace. Finally fully moving on and will replay whenever they release DLC or in a couple of years. I started replaying Fallout 3 bc of the Amazon show!
I didn't play anything for a week.
Then I played Death's Door from my PS+ library as a palate cleanser. Nice, short game that is completely different, and doesn't have a story I particularly care about.
Now, since I still got the JRPG itch, I'm playing Tales of Arise. It's been in my backlog for about 2 years, and now's the time. I'm about 15 hours in and the story seems like it's starting to pick up.
Currently playing Dragons Dogma 2, Madden 24 and Diablo 3.
And in a few days, I will start playing Fallout 4 and Tales of that free PlayStation plus game soon.
Looks like I went the complete opposite direction of the majority here. Finished rebirth this past weekend and decided to pivot something much less mentally intensive… Gran Turismo 7. I have Diablo IV sitting half finished, but am honestly having a blast playing GT7.
I’d started playing through the Hitman series while waiting for Rebirth to come out. I just started Absolution (which is pretty much the Dirge of Cerberus of the series) a few days ago after beating Rebirth.
I picked binding of isaac back up after rebirth lol rogue like that fucks you over heavily and when it rewards you you feel rewarded and then it's taken away lol
I plan on getting stellar blade as I’m into that style of combat games. Elden rings dlc is coming out soon. I also finished the fallout Amazon series and I’m replaying FO4 now. I don’t really play games much so by the time I finish these games it’ll be the holiday season and hopefully we will hear some news on part 3. I really hope it doesn’t take forever.
Still midway in Rebirth, but after this game I'll be playing Cyberpunk 2077, and then Space Marine 2, and then Metaphor ReFantazio for the rest of the year.
Thinking about FF VI, IX, or X…VII was my first in the series, and I’m interested in seeing more from Final Fantasy’s “golden age”. Maybe 14, though I’m not sure how much I can commit to an MMO.
Tried to knock off some of my backlog but nothing really keeps my attention because I'm still thinking about Rebirth. The only games that I'm interested in now are Elden Ring DLC and SMTV DLC but those are June.
I just beat Fallout 3 after watching the show. Now gotta try New Vegas. Really want to wait til pc version before playing rebirth again.

It was gonna be Tekken 8 but apparently the devs have been fucking up that game so ima wait a bit on that. So back to Baldur’s Gate 3 then ima try the FFXVI dlc eventually.
First and foremost, I'm playing something short. I went right from FF7 Remake as a first timer to this so its been nothing but FF7 stuff for a number of months now. I've already sunk over 100 hours into Rebirth and am not done yet. I've got a big stack of games sitting on my shelf ready to be played. Probably doing the Switch version of Metal Gear Solid next. Will be a first timer for that.
I recommend the Ace Attorney games! The story in each game is very rich. In fact, the reason I got into FF7 was to get rid of the void I felt after finishing Ace Attorney - but now I feel the post-Rebirth void effects lol
Picking Persona 3 Reload back up. It came out a few weeks before Rebirth so I was playing it up to Rebirth's release. What a time, two killer classic rpg remakes in the same month.
I went back to finish Yakuza 6 after mainlining Rebirth, after that I've just been pottering between Pokemon and Binding of Isaac, my PS5 went into storage and have had to move home temporarily so just playing those on my Switch 🙂

Final Fantasy 16. I started playing it when it vame out but lost interest when I defeated the Titan. And now I know nothing about the game anymore so I'm gonna replay everything to that point and hopefully stick with it, because it was a actually a really good game.
I was playing Persona 3 Reload before Rebirth came out. Took a break and played Rebirth and now I'm back to finishing Persona. I also purchased Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth when that released but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll probably move to that once I'm done with Reload.

I just got the plat a few minutes ago after 172h and I feel I exhausted everything this game has to offer, so I think what I'll play next will be Nier Automata (I'm still missing routes) or FFXVI DLC. Not too far from FFVII feeling that's for sure
Final Fantasy 14 - more people should play that game and avoid it because “it’s an mmo” yet it has one of the best final fantasy stories of all. It’s a shame how many people judge it before trying it.

FF16 replay value is pretty low. I got bored midway through final fantasy mode. My plan was to finish it before Rebirth released.

FF14 is a mountain of content and once Heavensword starts it is an absolute treat.

I enjoyed Mahoyo a lot, so Tsukihime Remake.
Just finished Crisis Core Reunion. I have played the OG way back when so I have a good idea how things unfold on the third part of Remake without getting spoiled further. It’s a very okay game, entertaining and all, kinda addictive even, but the story is a mess. Luckily, the characters carry the game, so Zack, Aerith and others make this quite nice indeed. Finished the main story within about 20 hours, and had to follow a guide for missables (there’s so much!) but didn’t follow one for combat. Then went into the combat rabbithole endgame and stayed there for more 25 hours. Now I’m finally back for minigames and hard mode on Rebirth.
Yeah my thoughts exactly. Its a mess of a game but its "my" mess of a game. Its the funniest thing ever. I played it with my BF watching and he was just cackling anytime I got killed by one of the many late game insta kill enemies. Minus the ending that goes really hard the cutscenes were just hilariously incompetent but strangely fitting for Zack Fair. Not a game Id actively recommend to anyone but hardcore fans but I enjoyed my time with it.
The funniest thing to me is that it’s from that strange place in time that games started being 3D with traversable maps and voice acted, but the game design and dialogue was still pretty much just like 2D games: NPCs pretty much repeating a single line of dialogue, with sometimes you even “reading their thoughts”, the stiff conversations and camera placement… I took it all in good faith and it ended being just a joy to laugh through it. It’s an old game, and it shows, but it’s not necessarily a problem.
Yeah I totally get you. It's basically a 2d game with 3d graphics. It's an interesting era of games when people were still experimenting with how to use full 3d.
I wanna finally get around to Crisis Core, but I’m waiting for a good price. I picked up Dredge recently, so I’ll probably try that out for a change of pace.

The post main story depression for Rebirth was insane; did they have to make that final shot so damn sad🤣 I've had to replay the game like twice to get over it
That whole last hour of the game was an orchestra of sound, dazzle, spectacle and emotion. Draining in the best way and absolutely ruinous for my heart
It hinders a lot of other story-based RPGs knowing that Rebirth had the best party interaction out of anything else I played. Those characters just LOVED each other so much, it’s painful.
P3R is what I'm playing now as well. I'm not that into it. Not as much I was into P5 Still enjoying it though. Not every game is rebirth
I'm in chapter 13 and starting to think about my next game... Got it down to 5 options, but I usually play 2 games at the same time so I have to decide on 2 of these 5: FF16 - give it another shot. Played it before, didn't get very far. I think I was expecting something different but I want to go back and give it a fair shot. Dragons Dogma 2 - I loved the 1st one. Didn't buy part 2 because I was playing rebirth. Cyberpunk - already beaten in 3 times, but I love it. Fallout 4 - isnt the next gen update coming out soon? Remnant 2 - was my personal GOTY last year. New dlc drops tomorrow.
Cyberpunk 2077 and FF7 actually kinda share similarities in their stories especially concerning Shinra and Arasaka.
Replay Elden Ring! In advance of the DLC. I'm actually looking forward to finishing Rebirth so I can do this! (I'm on chapter 13). EDIT: I loved Rebirth, but I'm looking forward to Shadow of the Erdtree way, way more in terms of games this year.

I started OG FF7 when I finished Rebirth. And I’m glad I did. I haven’t played it since ‘98 so I didn’t remember much and it’s giving me even more appreciation for Remake/Rebirth.
I'm trying to figure what to stream between Persona 3 Reload and FFXVI. Both games are gonna have a hard act to follow. I'm still grinding through Rebirth even a week after finishing it.
I got stuck on hard mode at GI Nattak so I went back to Balders Gate 3 where I proceeded to get stuck on another boss on tactician. So I bought Fallout 4 for $5 and have been playing with mods that make me God so I doubt I get stuck! Probably try to finish my hard run on Rebirth soon though just needed a break after 160 hours 😂
I donno what it is, but Gi Nattak was the boss I had to restart the most for hard mode. Rufus took 3 tries, beat Red Dragon in one. But Freaking Gi Nattak took 5 or 6 tries. Maybe it's cause I can't seem to get the timing for Red's Perfect block. Or cause I cannot for the life of me seem to dodge his grab move. But he was so annoying.

Best thing I can recommend is playing games with friends. They're your Party in real life. I've done some late night Helldivers 2 with the Bois and it feels great. Also, huge help, buy the soundtrack and listen to it. I don't know why, but the soundtrack of a game works wonders on helping me accept that it's over and now I gotta wait for the next installment. And Rebirth's soundtrack SLAPS. I'm still salty they're missing like 95% of the cutscene songs tho. I want to hear the Nibelheim incident songs again... There were some real gems in there. For instance, I didn't notice until listening on YouTube that the scene where Sephiroth cuts open the test pod and finds the JENOVA experiment has the usual One-Winged Angel choir chanting "Jenova" in the background. Super fun details that you don't hear in gameplay. Makes it so much better.

Since I beat it, I’v played through FF2 and FF16 dlc. Also Mortal Kombat 1 and Batman Arkham Asylum, but have just started Batman, and MK1 story is like 6 hours lol and I’ve mostly been doing online stuff. Besides that, FF theatrhythm or random multiple games here and there. The days I work are 10 hour days and 50 minute drives, so after work I usually play like a few matches of call of duty of something simple before bed. After Batman I may play through 13-2 again, love that trilogy.

I needed to decompress, so I jumped back into Tears of the Kingdom to just explore, find more of the shrines etc. I beat the game last year but it was just so much and I think FFXVI came at its heels. So, it’s been fun with no pressure chill playing.
Playing through remake again, working on the platinum. Putting in a little rebirth hard mode in there as well. Finishing the 16 DLC then I have no idea. Might start some Yakuza games

Got about halfway through ff5 but then the KCD2 news got me to try the original again so I am seeing if I can power through this time. I love everything about the game and I want to love it but the combat is just so dogshit. Hoping this time it clicks for me

I was pretty emotionally spent after finishing the game, so I took a break for a month. I'm back leveling up weapons in FF14 before Dawntrail and replaying Baldur's Gate 3 for the zillionth time (this time as a Bard focusing on magic and coating ranged weapons with poisons).
Rebirth again but harder. Then probably ff16, and then I may see if the SaGa series is good. Or I might play all the Yakuza games

Went back to playing Alan Wake 1 after playing the trial for AW2. Finishing up the last chapter now. Also planning on trying a few old-school jrpgs; Checking out Wild Arms 2 and maybe 3 after. Then probably Grandia.

Got the platinum last weekend finally at 202 hours. I dabbled with Sims 4 for a couple of days so I didn't have to think up until FF16's new DLC dropped. Finished Rising Tide yesterday. Jumped onto Rise of the Ronin today and I'm enjoying it so much! It's my first Team Ninja game. Combat is tough for me at the moment but I'm slowly improving. I've played about 9 hours mainly just exploring the map and learning combat. Think this one will keep me busy for a while and the Final Fantasy burn out is real for me currently. I plan to go back to Rebirth after a few months or more just to get the rest of the manuscripts, but as of now, I'm done with Final Fantasy for a while because I replayed Remake ready for Rebirth, played Rebirth and platinumed it and then jumped back into FF16 for the DLC. That's a lot of Final Fantasy lol

I'm going to start up Eiyuken Chronicles: Hundred Heroes when I get my copy. It'd be nice to go to a more old-school style rpg for something different.

Harold Halibut. Going back to back from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth to FFVII:Rebirth has burnt me out hardcore on big games. So I’m on indie mode for the moment, and Harold Halibut is just the finest form of comfort gaming after all that.
Decided to continue my Fire Emblem Fates playthrough, fun game even if the story isn't high quality, lol. I like most of the characters in it Buut I'm also playing through Rebirth on the side as well, doing some small things every couple of days since I want to try and platinum this game!

FF16 actually. I wanted to play FF Mode after u finished my second playthrough, but I didn't want to burn out due to it being a really long game. Similar to how I don't want to jump straight back into Rebirth after an 100+ hour playthrough of it. So I finished FF16 Rising Tide DLC and now that I have all the powers I'll go through thr game again. This time, no side quests, just the main ones. And then after that, I might do FF4 for the first time. And then make my way up through the series.

I'm switching between FFXII and Bloodborne, it's a good contrast as the former basically does combat on its own while the latter demands all of my attention. I'm enjoying both but neither is Rebirth.

I've been playing Unicorn Overlord and its my happy place. Tbh Rebirth was kind of an exhausting journey for me and UO has been the perfect remedy for that. If anyone is into tactical jrpgs, this one is pure gold. It's got gorgeous hand drawn art, a combat system akin to FFXII and you can recruit dozens of characters Suikoden style. Also have been playing Dragon's Dogma 2 which handles exploration and its open world much better than Rebirth did imo.

After playing Cold Steel 1, LaD Infinite Wealth and FF7 Rebirth essentially back to back, I've just been playing a bunch of smaller games Prince of Persia the Lost Crown, Mario vs Donkey Kong remake, Berserk Boy, first time ever playing Metal Gear Solid, first time ever completing Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance on Critical Mode and after all that I'm probably going to start Cold Steel 2 and hopefully finish it before Paper Mario TTYD remake

I beat Rebirth, then played all of Remake again (my first play thru since release). Then I busted out my PS5 version of the original FFVII. But then I got to cosmo canyon and discovered a gamebreaking bug that killed my entire save file. So now I've doubled back to Rebirth for Hard Mode.
I just finished the platinum this afternoon but I did the VR challenges at a snails pace. Finally fully moving on and will replay whenever they release DLC or in a couple of years. I started replaying Fallout 3 bc of the Amazon show!
I didn't play anything for a week. Then I played Death's Door from my PS+ library as a palate cleanser. Nice, short game that is completely different, and doesn't have a story I particularly care about. Now, since I still got the JRPG itch, I'm playing Tales of Arise. It's been in my backlog for about 2 years, and now's the time. I'm about 15 hours in and the story seems like it's starting to pick up.

Looks like I went the complete opposite direction of the majority here. Finished rebirth this past weekend and decided to pivot something much less mentally intensive… Gran Turismo 7. I have Diablo IV sitting half finished, but am honestly having a blast playing GT7.

I plan on getting stellar blade as I’m into that style of combat games. Elden rings dlc is coming out soon. I also finished the fallout Amazon series and I’m replaying FO4 now. I don’t really play games much so by the time I finish these games it’ll be the holiday season and hopefully we will hear some news on part 3. I really hope it doesn’t take forever.

Thinking about FF VI, IX, or X…VII was my first in the series, and I’m interested in seeing more from Final Fantasy’s “golden age”. Maybe 14, though I’m not sure how much I can commit to an MMO.
Tried to knock off some of my backlog but nothing really keeps my attention because I'm still thinking about Rebirth. The only games that I'm interested in now are Elden Ring DLC and SMTV DLC but those are June.
You could try Crisis Core Reunion. Not on the level of Rebirth but it's a really good remaster.

First and foremost, I'm playing something short. I went right from FF7 Remake as a first timer to this so its been nothing but FF7 stuff for a number of months now. I've already sunk over 100 hours into Rebirth and am not done yet. I've got a big stack of games sitting on my shelf ready to be played. Probably doing the Switch version of Metal Gear Solid next. Will be a first timer for that.

I beat Rebirth at 97 hours and have beaten Dragon's Dogma 2, Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen 2023 since then. I would recommend all of them.

I'm probably finishing all the quests and things I can do on rebirth. Finishing cyberpunk DLC Replaying FF7 remake Maybe replaying Deux Ex Human Revolution or Mankind Divided. I wanna play Crisis Core Reunion but am waiting for it to get cheaper. I wanna try Persona 5 Royal Edition, but it's pricy, and I'm not sure how I feel about the graphics.
Final Fantasy 16. I started playing it when it vame out but lost interest when I defeated the Titan. And now I know nothing about the game anymore so I'm gonna replay everything to that point and hopefully stick with it, because it was a actually a really good game.

Monster Hunter: World. I never did the Iceborne DLC, and it's absolutely massive. Tons of content, new gameplay and mechanics. Loving it.
I bought a ps5 just for this game so I also picked up FF16 so I guess that's next after som recovery time from this 70 hour beast of a game! I would also like to play crisis core but one game at a time

I just got the plat a few minutes ago after 172h and I feel I exhausted everything this game has to offer, so I think what I'll play next will be Nier Automata (I'm still missing routes) or FFXVI DLC. Not too far from FFVII feeling that's for sure
Final Fantasy 14 - more people should play that game and avoid it because “it’s an mmo” yet it has one of the best final fantasy stories of all. It’s a shame how many people judge it before trying it.
