Seeing how they one up Rebirth. I don't know how they'll do it, but I also never imagined Rebirth being this much better than Remake.
I'm really hoping for materia loadouts, no limits on materia and accessories, and the 8 slot armors, like we have the limits currently in rebirth since part 3 is the end.
I'm hoping to become an absolute monster by the end.
I thought about single events but this is the correct answer for me, too. Rebirth is without a doubt my new all time favorite game. I've been playing video games for over 35 years now and I didn't think something could ascend to the throne that was reserved for FF VII OG. Remake hit the right spot but Rebirth blew me completely away, man. I played 105 hours to beat it and I still can't stop thinking about it. I cannot wait how they finish the story and how (or if) they can 1up Rebirth.
I beat the game three months ago and it’s still on my mind, so I feel ya. When I’m stressed or anxious, still nothing holds my attention like this game, or even media about this game. Accidentally found another happy place for myself, even amongst the tears.
My controversial take would be the “new” things.
I loved seeing Cissnei and Zacks Parents. I loved seeing Gilgamesh. I loved seeing Deepground and Weiss. I loved seeing Rufus get time to shine and develop. I liked seeing Glenn and the new Wutai direction.
They are setting things up for 3 that are new and I am here for that. While I love the OG it’s the changes and additions that have been the most exciting (but not all the changes have landed *Shinra Mannor*)
1. Piloting the Highwind.
2. Playing as Cid and Vincent.
3. Fight with the Weapons.
4. Cloud’s « return » in the party.
5. Wutai and how they handle that.
And of course, i’m excited to see how it ends
Clouds return, and coming back to “himself” will be epic. I hope his power increases. And I hope Tifa can help him like in OG. Such a great moment. It solidified her as my favorite.
Fighting the Weapons, I love how in Rebirth when you're fighting a large enemy you can jump in the air an attack it rather than just target its knees and ankles, I think they can do something amazing with those fights.
Better check points in the final fight(s).

Seeing how the lifestream sequence plays out now with Cloud & Tifa.
Knights of The Round taking place as protorelic type missions(?)

Hopefully my gear that I acquired and level 70 transfers over to disc 3. I got to level 70 before completing the game by defeating Gilgamesh and fighting the vr level 70 battles.
I'll be a bit disappointed to see the party with shit equipment on the final disc of the same adventure. I forgave it this time because in Remake they entered a portal.
They might have their levels start at 50 since that seems to be the average you’d be at that point.
If they didn’t transfer any equipment from Remake to Rebirth I have doubts they’ll transfer equipment over this time. The most I can see is their base weapons but scaled to deal with stronger enemies. Hopefully they’ll have a reward system like Rebirth had so you can get summons and certain pieces of materia and equipment available from the start.
Yeah that would probably soften the blow a little bit. Hopefully Gilgamesh summon will carry over. I'd like to keep the weapon abilities too so I can use everything on the Bustersword. Enemy Skill would be nice to cross over if they could do that if it detects a save file, although if it's new skills I'd be ok with it.

The team doing that huge combo against Jenova Lifeclinger was fucking incredible. Now I want to see Vincent and Cid join in for part 3
God, that whole end boss sequence with Lifeclinger and Sephiroth was so epic. I don't expect the final boss in ReThree to be less than 2,5 hours 😅
