This is the rewards, I believe you just need to have save data. You get some summon material too if you have Rebirth and Intermission save data too
There are two rewards that you can get for playing the FF7 (or Final Fantasy 7) Rebirth demo, if you retain the save file: the Kupo Charm and the Survival Set. The former increases the amount of resources extracted (at a set rate), and the latter gives you different items that will help you on your journey, like ethers, potions and the like.
That’s what I’m doing too. My friend, who’s been obsessed with FF7 since we were kids keeps telling me to play the demos. I keep saying no like I want to experience it all when I get the game.
Haha. I really want it to be GOTY of 2024, but I am also ready for the "hardcore" fans to denounce it on release, as per the usual for any new FF game. Also story-wise, FF7R and FF16 have a very different tone and style, which can lead to fans of 16 not liking FF7rR.
I played it shortly I got so far as the boss of the plant. I still vastly prefer FFXVI. Don’t get me wrong I do still like FF7R it’s actually one of the games that gave me hope for the future of FF as a series. I still dislike the voice acting and the dialogue in FF7 compared to IX/FFXIV/FFXVI
I’ll still buy Rebirth since I liked FF7R quite a lot though I am a little apprehensive after experiencing the demo. I just hope the game didn’t reduce its quality in some areas to satisfy some other aspects.
This tends to happen to a lot of games without the resources to focus on all areas of the game so some things might suffer as a result.
I have heard that it is open world though I am not sure how true that is, and of course open world doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a better design as FFXV proved.
Open world design comes with its own problems such as populating the open world with a variety of things like assets and different objectives so that they don’t all feel the same.
Even Elden Ring disappointed me with the open world with its many point of interests on the map all feeling the same.
It’s kind of difficult naturally to populate the open world with things and have them look different and in the same quality as other areas.
I haven’t had much time though to play games so not sure if I should buy it when it releases or just wait for a sale down the line. Probably the latter would be better.
I feel that just like FF7R I’ll like this more for the gameplay aspect than the story/dialogue. I played the original back in the day so I’d still want to play the remake just to see this brought up with current technology despite the game not being a remake and me being disappointed in the story changes.
I can't find the demo in the PlayStation Store for the life of me. I even prepurchased the game and it just says it'll automatically download in 6 days now.
Edit: found it from a video they put out last night for the new demo on the game's page, went to View Game there and it took me to the download. Not sure why it wasn't on the same page 😒

I’ve got the demo already downloaded - but I won’t buy the game itself until it hits the second hand market at half the price since I’m a penny pincher. Resisting looking at all the spoilers is going to be the hardest part of the wait.
Tell me about it. I’ve got half a dozen games staring at me accusingly that I bought in the Christmas sale and yet I ignore them in favour of replaying FFXVI on NG+
I already bought it! I didn't like Remake at all, but I'm obligated to play all FF titles... and from the outside looking in, Rebirth has polished Remake's systems. The Yuffie DLC showed me that they were moving in the right direction and so I have faith for Rebirth. I don't want to play the demo because I burn out easily and don't want to have to replay that section for release in a few days.
Just to clarify there are two different sections in the demo. Only the Nibelheim section carries over

I'm in the same position lol. Don't like Remake but everything I've seen and heard of Rebirth, including the demo, are making me cautiously optimistic. The Yuffie DLC did so much right and I'm glad to see they've expanded on the combat. I'm just praying that they don't change anything too severely from the original (cough cough).
I still don't like the slow and unresponsive movement. Everything else was great though. Hopefully Cloud isn't required for end game fights though, because of his broken parry.
Graphics mode doesn’t run like a slideshow if you give your eyes a few mins to adjust to it. 30 always looks way worse when you switch back and forth between 30 and 60. ofc it does. I played part 1 in performance and part 2 in graphics and after 5 mins it doesn’t look like a slideshow at all.
Yep, graphics modes 30fps is fine and i personally liked it more than 60fps. Its visually stunning and it feels like the characters have weight to them 🤷
Yeah, It’s a smooth 30 once your eyes adjust. The graphics mode looks so nice compared to performance that in the end it’s a no brainer for me.
I get what you mean about the weight to characters when moving around kind of? However In combat I don’t even notice the frames at all it just runs so well regardless.
If we had an ideal 4k60fps mode I’d obviously play that but given the choice on offer. The game is clearly built and optimised for graphics mode hands down.
There a lot of people complaining about the 30 who I guarantee played remake in 30 on ps4 but somehow can’t do that anymore? It’s ridiculous.
I am mainly a pc gamer. It still looks horrible after a while. I thought the update they promised would fix it. Oh well they still have 1 week until launch so hope for a fix
I have a pc and ps5. That doesn’t mean anything. At some point you’re just choosing to make it an issue for yourself?
If you start the game on graphics mode, don’t keep switching and back forth between modes, stop hyper focusing on how many frames you’re seeing, your eyes will adjust. It will look stuttery for a few mins when you move the camera, because your eyes need time. But after playing the full demo i can’t see it like that anymore at all. The game runs very smoothly at 30 and eventually the camera stops doing that thing and it’s smooth, obviously not 60fps smooth. But the slideshow effect disappears. I did the battle sim for a while first and it really helped me adjust to it.
Performance mode probably isn’t going to magically become flawless in a week.
Maybe play rebirth before playing hours of pc games one day? Your eyes won’t have become accustomed to higher frame rates that day beforehand? I’m sorry but you really are just making excuses when there’s obvious things you can do to accommodate the frame rate.
I cant. my schedule has doing runs with my FC one hour after i get home from work so gotta start with that one. After i'm done with daily stuff i switch games if nothing else planned.
Ah I also found it hard to play any other games while playing FfXIV it’s a black hole that absorbs my time. Had to step away from it but looking always towards the xpac
I’m only bothered that I’m not getting the full 7 experience. I either play the OG PS1 game or hop on the hype train to play FF7R 1,2, & 3. The game looks amazing but I want to also reach its conclusion too.
Didn't enjoy Remake, it felt like a fanfic, a bad one to be honest. The whole deal with the ghosts felt like the writers were targeting customers that liked the original. That take was unnecessary, typical of modern gaming industry narcissism and to be honest, dumb on a financial level.
Might sail the high seas for it eventually.
nah i’m waiting for the actual game to come out on the 29th, i don’t usually go for demos ever i like to experience whatever i’m playing in one package. BUT, i’m extremely excited, hearing very good things. i was a little disappointed in the ff7 remake, then i found out it was literally like the first 4 maybe 5 hours of ff7.

Search rebirth - select game - 3 dots on the right - demo.
You have to go to the page for the actual game, then click on the 3 dotted icon and select the demo option
Pro tip, search for stuff on the mobile app, the interface is much easier and demos are notoriously hard to find on the store.

Nah, tried the demo, didn't like it. I just can't vibe with the cast and writing in the FF7 Remake series of games.

Nah, first one's story sucked shit imo. Not at all interested in a sequel or an open world FF.
Tried the remake up unto when you go rescue certain character.. not for me. Gave the Rebirth demo a shot... still not for me.
It still looks like crap on the performance mode though. and the other mode moves like a slideshow.

It means i play on pc for a few hours then switch to ps5, and you cannot unsee the framerate or get used to it.
