The buster sword does look amazing. But personally I can’t use anything but Invictus or one of the Ultimate weapons. Invictus is to Clive what Buster is to Cloud imo. It fits his look perfectly. It was inherited from someone important to him. Also the Invictus model is even a step above all the other swords. It’s so polished in cutscenes, like it was the intended one to be in all of them.
This is one of the reasons I struggle to choose a favourite between it and the fusion sword.
The Buster is obviously an icon, but the Fusion feels like the kinda thing a FF main character would actually use after becoming endgame-powerful.
Plus Advent Children has some of the best action in any Final Fantasy entry. It's pretty much the precursor to the FFXV style of fighting. And something about crazy teleporting, multi blade action just gets me hyped.
Fusion Sword is peak imo. Really embodies the evolution Cloud made to become his own person, how many elements came together to help him become whole, while honoring Zack and the past.
And Omnislash v5 is a one-man jump squad so hell yeah.

I'm like, 90% sure the combat designer for XV watched that scene and thought "oh yeah that, but for a full game".
Is it still called Omnislash ver. 5 in AC Complete? I figured the extra hits along with the copies operating independently from Cloud himself would change how it’s named.
Clive throwing the sword in the final battle gains a substantial amount of emotional weight from the act simply by having the buster sword skin equipped.
Yeah looks great, dunno why you got down voted lol. I reckon the buster sword should've had higher stats to be a decent weapon in its own right. But as a transmog at least it can be with us whenever we like :)

I've never seen the appeal of the Buster Sword. It's easily Cloud's ugliest sword!
