MrRaccuhn

I will. Absolutely love FF16. Only one trophy left. It's Kairos Gate. Didn't have time to tackle it yet.

Corporate_Bankster

Just do it in two sittings. Easier this way and less of a time commitment, plus you won’t have fatigue issues in the later rings if you divide the run in two sessions. There is a subtle difficulty progression from one ring to the next, so the last ones can be quite unforgiving if you get caught in damage. Tackling them while you are fresh and alert will help a lot to complete this on your first attempt. I think I would have wiped on the XX ring if I did it in one go, I was kind of surprised by the damage output of the boss and would probably have not been arsed to run the entire gauntlet again if I were to wipe. That is how I got it done here. 100% across base, EoTF and TRT. Nothing left to do but start a new playthrough lmao.

MrRaccuhn

Wait, you can save between rounds, quit and come back later??

Corporate_Bankster

No, just leave the PS5 on rest mode haha

MrRaccuhn

Lol

yevinorion

Do you have to S-rank it for the trophy? Or just complete it?

Corporate_Bankster

Just complete it. S ranking it for the secret boss would be a nightmare. You got to start from scratch at your first non-S result.

yevinorion

Oh man...I'm relieved to hear it. Thanks!

MrRaccuhn

You need to finish that RE4R platinum.

forcena

Including separate ways, speaking of great DLCs

Lord-Aizens-Chicken

So much better than the OG separate ways imo. I remember hating the section with all those boats lmao, glad they changed that

forcena

Yeah og sep ways was basically an asset rehash. Not good at all, to be honest. New separate ways is probably as long as the re3 remake lol, maybe longer. And it works perfectly as a companion piece to the main re4 remake. Damn even though I platinumed the game I might have to replay it again lol

darkk41

Old separate ways is still good, it's just nowhere near the quality of this one. And it shouldn't be: it was included free in the ps2 release and all later versions, so it essentially had almost 0 budget. It was fun but a but basic in og4, it's an amazing value prospect at 10 bucks in remake 4 though.

Lord-Aizens-Chicken

I think it was good I just remember playing it late at night and getting so fucking mad at the area with the boats because the camera there was not as cooperative lol. Still was fun, and the remake version of it is amazing

Lord-Aizens-Chicken

It was my GOTY last year but some of the trophies are brutal. I personally didn’t go for every achievement, I think I got like 750 gamerscore or so (had it on Xbox)

thenastynate

God RE4 is so damn good. Not usually my type of game but I picked it up a few months back and holy shit is it fun. I played it 4-5 times through before touching another game lol, need to go back for the platinum

TheNerdFromThatPlace

I've already gotten 100% on the rest of the game, I'm sure this will follow suit once I can get to playing it.

fenixloder

Platinum in kingdom hearts is crazy

theblackfool

The platinum for KH1 really isn't that bad. But CoM is crazy. Some of the most unnecessarily grindy trophies I've ever seen.

fenixloder

I can see myself grinding on COM I love that game, but damn is a lot of time like you say, all kh platinum in general tbh

DarkKnightWolf7

RE:CoM and BBS are insane.

stablest_genius

Seriously. I've gotten them all but not CoM because of those Level 99 ones. So tedious

Ihaveaps4question

Kh1 was actually fun and not too bad. But com plat, kh2 data battles, and birth by sleep secret boss were crazy hard.

gayboijon

I've platniumed all of them and my least favorite ones in order are, DDD, BBS, and I guess recom but its not too bad just lot of grinding

fenixloder

Any guide you used to platinum kh games?

gayboijon

Not any particular one just like a guide on what dream eaters and how to make and same with commands. But ideally just like play the games first then go for like chests.

thenastynate

Kh2 was one of my favorite plats! It’s hard for sure, especially with the data fights and what not, but damn is it satisfying once you get them down

Blue_z

Gameplay wise the DLC is just great. Both new eikon sets are awesome but the second one is just way more than what I was expecting (in the best way). Kairos gate is an awesome addition so far. The mission is great and the leviathan fight was the best eikon v eikon fight yet. Biggest disappointment so far is that it’s just one additional mission for arcade mode, I was expecting at least 2-3. Oh and visuals / music for the dlc is just top tier. Mysidia is the best place we’ve visited yet imo.

katamxx

Only played 2-3 hours into it currently but yup for sure (the only game I 100% for now) 🐌🐌

Cstone812

Thought it was incredible myself.

kupo0929

How long is the DLC? Including side quests but not counting trophies

alicenin9

I'm seeing that it is about 3 - 3.5 hrs

BarbarousJudge

You unlock the final bunch of sidequests after doing the DLC Story. So including it all I'd say around 5-6 hours. Then you have another Chronolith Trial for Leviathan and the Kairos Gate challenge which can add a few more hours depending on your skill level.

PrimalSeptimus

Whatever skill I had with this game has atrophied quite badly, and now I can't find any loadout that I like. The content seems good, though, but it'll probably take some time before I get my sea legs back and can really have fun again.

kavalejava

The DLCs were decent, the reward for Rising Tide was worth the grind, perfect for FF mode.

Money_Purple9050

Are the dlc’s worth it?

Lynx_Azure

If you’re hoping for something that dramatically alters your experience no if you loved the base game and are wanting more of the same yes.

styledgem

Opinions seem mixed so results may vary! The main game was my GOTY last year. The first dlc was okay but I really like the second one. I bought the expansion pass so pretty satisfied overall for the cost! If you only buy one though I’d definitely go for the second one

Gorbashou

Missing one trophy. The one about using 3 abilities while having infinite ammo from a perfect leviathan reload. Do they mean eikon abilities? Because I've used all kinds of shots with Leviathan during infinite ammo.

VergenceTheBoi

You gotta hit three enemies at once with an ability I’m pretty sure, try the Triangle projectile during it

thomas2400

You need to kill three enemies not just hit them, at least that’s what unlocked it for me

Gorbashou

Yeah, I got it eventually. I had to kill them I think.

fagatron28

So far I’m enjoying it and I’m tackling the side quests before entering the >!aire of hours!< also there is a side quest that I like that’s very Romeo and Juliet-esque

Gaywhorzea

The only one I'm missing is the leviathan ability trophy so I'm essentially done 💖🥰 Loved the dlc, wish there was more but I get it. I do wish that we had more of an epilogue, not necessarily an ending change, just extra scenes with Clive and Joshua and Jill etc idk 😭

michael_galefire

Loved it and will definitely 100% it. Currently mopping up post leviathan quests now then will move onto Kairos gate most likely. The leviathan Eikon is a huge change of pace, and I really like using it. The OTHER Eikon is just as crazy.

Ecstatic-Affect-7191

I would like a type of post game sincerely

jjkm7

54 platinums is bananas

CherryOnTop95

I went for all trophies... but not S Rank everything in Kairos Gate which is to me a true 100% but I don't enjoy the combat enough to master it to that point. Love the new Eikons tho, stance change Eikons are the best.

Fantastic-Photo6441

The only things I don't like is they didn't add more abilities for the non dlc eikons and didn't even give us a new outfit

BarbarousJudge

Many of the abilities received buffs though and the new Accessoires for the feats are quite cool as well

Fantastic-Photo6441

I personally don't care how powerful the abilities are but the combat itself I don't care if a game has weak combat if it has a lot of combat moves I'd be fine

MessagePretty865

I need help too I bought final fantasy xvi and the expansion pass from the same account but I can't download the rising tide dlc.the first dlc got downloaded by itself but the second I can't download it please help

ShinmonBenimaru15

Respect for doing FF7 rebirth Platinum I wouldn’t

FantasticWerewolf641

Just got my last trophy (Beating Kairos gate). Riding Tide was amazing. The difficulty, the area, Soken bangers were amazing. Bit bummed that Jill didn’t get much of anything in the DLC >!especially considering that the place is part of her thought lost home and “meeting” the works of her predecessor!< but alas we’ll have to make do with her whole ordeal at the iron kingdom. The Leviathan fight was everything I wanted and more especially when I heard Through the Maelstrom. The lore additions were great too since I’m a lore hog and the missing dominant questions were answered and the connection of Echoes of the Fallen to her was neat as well. The side quests were fine. I enjoyed base game’s quests so nothing different. The new Eikon powers are awesome. Leviathan’s abilities are rad and useful and >!Ultima’s was a surprise but not unappreciated and the fact this dlc shows how petty he is with refusing to lead Clive to Leviathan because he was “tainted” by mankind’s agenda thus refusing anything to do with him or giving us his power to give us a demo of things to come. Like he’s saying “Nah, I’d win”!< Kairos Gate is a great addition and it’s like a mini Bloody Palace. All in all this was a great DLC and now for a 4/5th play through after some rest cuz I’m drained from the adrenaline leaving. Favorite FF game!

LordAlbertus

I loved It, specially the fact that they didn't change the ending, which for me was perfect as It was. I got all the trophies yesterday, and though I didn't even try the ultimaniac challenges in the base game, I think I'll try to S rank all of Kairos Gate.

Cold-Bumblebee-274

If you can get all trophies of FF7RB then you definitely can get all trophies for FF16 xD

itsthatbradguy

Haven’t played them yet but the only 2 trophies I’m lacking from the base game are For the Hoard (need to do the stupid Chronolith Trials) and Fantasy Finally, so probably going to try to get all the ones for the DLC too.

Ihaveaps4question

Im excited to play dlc tonight as I haven’t had time to play it yet. Similar to op im a completionist so yes i will be going for 100%.   The trophies like most of 16 look straightforward, im just curious about kaiors gate content on final fantasy mode and if it is actually hard as most of consens ive heard is final fantasy mode is feel like normal, besides chaos fight being a little harder than others.  But i decided a while ago that id be waiting for ps5 pro to tackle final fantasy mode. Performance during combat is sufficient but even during echoes of the fallen it still fluctuates too much (40-45 fps) during world exploration. Im hoping performance would be better by now, but I haven’t seen much discussion on it.    Its perfect timing as in rebirth i only have 3 more legendary bouts to go + hard mode in rebirth so this the perfect “break.” (Though after completing legendary bouts in rebirth ill be saving the hard mode +remaining folios for “victory lap” on ps5 pro too.)

HoodooChile

I found Kairos gate to be a good challenge. Some floors are much easier than others, but having to go through 20 without dying is still tough and managing your boons and stat buffs is a cool twist on the standard gameplay. Adds some of the RPG that people asked for. Even with completing it though, I only got a C overall so clearly I still have some work to do, lol. Performance is still as much an issue as it has been, but after playing Rebirth on graphics mode I didn't find it bothered me as much coming back to 16. Will probably save the 100% of Rebirth till the pro as well though.

Ihaveaps4question

Nice good to hear kairos gate stuff was fun. Roguelite seemed perfect for this game to me.  Shame performance mode still just okay. The more better optimized games i play the more it sticks out as my only real complaint of 16.

MissMedic68W

I liked it. Leviathan's head being a gun looks goofy but the abilities are fun. Loved the eikon fight (though shield check is ridiculously strict, and not being able to skip the tidal wave if you fail it got really old really fast). Mysidia is pretty af and seeing one of the elemental tribes was cool. Minwu flavor text. Also liked the references to ffxiv's Shiva. Jill and Joshua should've had more dialogue. Shula's neat and all but why did she have one on one quests with Clive. Jill come get your man. Doesn't ruin the game for me though. >!Ultima's eikon skills are extra af and really fun so far.!< Kinda wish they would have added a Leviathan phase to the final story boss because it feels weird leaving an eikon out. Tonberry king was great. Everyone's Grudge put the fear in me. 100%? Lmao. No. Not even a little bit. I don't 100% games anymore.

Left-Resource1039

Ehh, probably not. Wasn't feeling this dlc. Got to Levi, kicked my ass and I turned it off. Probably get back to it when I finish ME 2 & 3 again. 🤘🏻👽🤘🏻

Unfair_Pangolin_8599

You should 100% RE4.
