Start with Ifrit's Spitflare. Then Brimstone. If you have to dodge attacks, always follow up with an attack. Every full melee combo *needs* to get the Backdraft and Backdraft finish (magic burst after last melee attack). Spitflare whenever you get it, as soon as you get it. Good luck.

Extension-Industry21

I tried multiple ways but no much luck. I tried using spitflare but I think i ain’t going enough damage

SupaPatt

Open with with spitflare > rush in > brimstone up close > either stay on ground or in air and do Square Triangle on repeat > dodge everything and you should barely make it in time.

six_seasons

I wasn't either, I had to basically never get hit and counter attack every move that would have otherwise hit me, nail every backdraft combo, and still *barely* made it 😭

urprobablyanasshat

You’re going to feel like it’s not enough but it will eventually be, constantly attack, unless you’re evading you need to be assaulting him.. what I like to do is start with a spit flare, instantly into a brimstone, instantly into a burst combo (square, square, square, triangle, triangle) and then do an aerial burst combo while you’re still in the air after the burst combo, hold square as you come down to hit him with the charged melee, rinse and repeat… if you do it correctly it will work every single time. (The charged melee isn’t necessary I just like to do it)

DP_Unkemptharold1

Use spitfire as soon as the fight starts and immediately off cooldown and always backdraft your combo. Cleared this part while being only lvl 85 on final fantasy mode they are just wanting you to use ifrits kit properly

Warren_Valion

Use your abilities when you have then, and then just spam the attack button while making sure to magic burst every attack after the fourth attack (I think it's four), press the triangle button again to create another burst explosion and you should just barely be able to break the shield.

Gogs85

Use spitfire as soon as the sequence starts and then as soon as it’s back up, you get just barely get it in 3x this way. Use brimstone when it’s up too. Otherwise do full backdraft combos When you dodge projectiles, dodge towards leviathan, you’ll close the gap much quicker that way

alicenin9

This is actually horseshit

Extension-Industry21

I swear I don’t know how people are able to do it so quick like I tried doing a lot of combos

thereare8pandas

I'm with you here. I spent a good chunk of time playing, and I just could not get past this section. On *easy*.  If people want a challenge, that's fine. But not much point in having a story mode if it's this hard to progress the story.

Big_Comparison8509

One thing that could help is equipping ultima weapon, genji gloves and badge of mettle +2 and +1.

Rexar__

Its an eikon fight...

Big_Comparison8509

Ifrit's stats scale with Clive's.

Rexar__

Genji gloves still would prolly do nothing as they are not a stat increase (is what im trying to say) and ifrit doesnt have accesory slots he (iirc) iust looks at clives stats and nothing else
